What do you like best about Houseware?

Houseware provides powerful product analytics features like Trends, Retention Analysis, Funnels, and Flows. What I like most about Houseware is that it runs on top of a warehouse (instead of storing the data with itself), which aligns with our data and CDP strategy. Running on top of our Snowflake warehouse provides us unparalleled control over our data, addressing concerns around data residency and ensuring data security and compliance.

One of the most notable advantages is the significant cost reduction. We were able to cut our product analytics costs by over 50%, without compromising on functionality, making Houseware a cost-effective and powerful solution for our analytics needs.

Additionally, the onboarding experience was exceptional. The Houseware team went above and beyond, assisting us in setting up both Rudderstack and Snowflake. We were up and running within just one day, thanks to the personalized assistance from the Houseware team, reinforcing our confidence in choosing Houseware as our preferred product analytics solution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Houseware?

While Houseware excels in many aspects, it currently lacks some advanced features like Stickiness, Compass, and Anomaly detection compared to competitors like Mixpanel and Amplitude. Additionally, the current UI/UX isn't the most intuitive, and there's room for improvement. However, given the Houseware team's rapid innovation pace, it's likely that they will bridge these feature gaps and potentially surpass the competition in the future. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Houseware solving and how is that benefiting you?

Houseware is tackling critical challenges in the product analytics landscape. Unlike Amplitude and Mixpanel, which charge extensively for storing event data, Houseware runs on top of cost-effective warehouses like Snowflake and BigQuery. This not only significantly reduces costs but also provides unprecedented control over our data, addressing concerns related to data residency and compliance. Houseware, in essence, acts as a powerful Retool for Snowflake in the realm of product analytics. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Houseware?

- It's warehouse native, you get to access the same data structure it utilizes for ad-hoc querying

- The costs incurred on your warehouse are transparent and auditable

- You have complete control over what you feed houseware - create synthetic events, augment/enrich existing events, ignore events Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Houseware?

- It depends entirely on how you've modelled event data - can't get started without bringing events to the houseware specified structure

- The "Flows" visualization has limitations on how many dimensions you can use to filter the view - understandable because of how compute heavy this visualization is Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Houseware solving and how is that benefiting you?

Houseware attempts to streamline event based product analytics.

- Making it faster to analyze user flows/behavior and A/B tests

- They are making it really affordable

- Give us access to look under the hood Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Houseware?

Houseware helps product managers like me keep a good tab on their data on a daily basis. Through easy visualisations, charts etc, it makes the process of consuming, synthesising and leveraging the data very easily. Intuitive charts also means that they can be integrated into org vocabulary very easily.

The support provided over Slack or personally is amazing and helps augment the onboarding journey on the product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Houseware?

Some of the visualisations might lack the gloss and finish of other incumbents. However, this isn't a deal breaker and should be an easy solve for the skilled team at the helm of the product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Houseware solving and how is that benefiting you?

Houseware makes looking at user interactions on the app extremely simple. It enables me to transpose different metrics over one another, identify key weaknesses and present it effectively to all stakeholders for driving quick alignment. It is critical in increasing my leverage in day to day tasks and therefore, I am heavily reliant on it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Houseware?

Improve the look and feel of the product making the design slightly more delightful Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Houseware solving and how is that benefiting you?

The whole journey of accumulation the requirements and taking the time of the data analyst to get the most basic data points was the issue I was facing. This used to consume 2-3 days of mine as well as of the data analyst. Now the involvement of the data analyst has been cut of for understanding the high level data needs.
