I honestly just searched on the internet for a site that could do this and HourOne was one of the first ones I saw. But from the beginning it was easy to use and really quick to utilize. Gave us a bunch of options to put together a work video. Easy to use and up and running quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only problem I had was trying to find a voice that fit the story. I wanted her to sound a little more animated. I think it would help if we could write like we talk about certain subjects. At first we thought we found a great tool for our Product Marketing use case but as we got to use it more we discovered it is actually really glitchy and unreliable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
1. Wait time for video rendering is way too long, over 20 minutes sometimes for 1.5 minutes long videos.
2. There are no clear instructions on what the image sizes for each video template should be so you end up having to guess each time.
3. There are no clear instructions on how their brand palette works when you want to personalise videos' branding.

A wide library of avatars and models with different outfits and looks - I think that makes it so that you will find one that fits your project. You can also create one easily, and I think thats when the software actually becomes useful.

Well - we're still at that point that AI-generated avatars are a little bit in the uncanny valley, meaning they don't feel human or personal. I think that makes them useful for perhaps internal knowledge bases and trainings, but I would not use it for external communication. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Goodbye slideshows, hello AI video avatars. Super easy to use, integrate, and implement into our workflows. Love the fact that the avatars, templates, and voices are highly customizable. Hour One makes it very easy to put together a quick intro demo of a product or service. It also facilitates translation of that demo into other languages. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The templates are rigid. For example, one template that I used causes the scene to emerge from the the bottom of the screen. This is fine until subsequent scenes also do the same. Why can I not configure it to not emerge from the bottom on subsequent scenes? The issue is that templates could use more configurable parameters. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The UI and ease of using the platform are fantastic. There are some self-help guided tutorials but it's very plug-and-play. 10/10 would recommend it if you're looking for an easy way to create some engaging professional-looking content. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Occasionally the video/audio doesn't look as realistic as I would like but it's not blatantly obvious unless you are specifically looking for it. I would say the only other thing is that it was hard to invite a user. When you click on the invite link it takes you to a login page as if you should be set up but you still need to switch tabs and then create an account. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
