What do you like best about Hotjar by Contentsquare?

Heatmaps, user recordings and polls are very easy to set up once your code is installed. By the way i recommend you install the tracking code using Google Tag manager which has a tag ready for hotjar, you only need to input your ID. Also this software does not generate any warning from advertising networks and is 100% compliant with GDPR. i really like that is very easy to use, even my clients learn how to use hotjar because of its simplicity. User recording are very useful to report to clients that are unware of their UX designs Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Hotjar by Contentsquare?

It automatically does not track 100% of traffic (but i think you can set up to track 100% traffic). Also sometimes is hard to go to see your settings if you have multiple business (eg: if you are and agency and your setting up heatmaps for your clients). Also it would be nice if this software send you notification when an account is not reporting any traffic, the only notification i get is when a heatmap or recordings are 100% complete Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Hotjar by Contentsquare:

i wished to know the limitations of the free version. The free version limits to 1k pageviews and also you can only have 3 heatmaps per account. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Hotjar by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?

Heatmaps are very useful when it comes to understand user behaviour and user experience. I used this software whenever we make a new layout design for our clients. We also have benefited from this software by understanding our users better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
