**What do you like best about Hostaway?**

So far, it has simplified my life immensely. I’ve been able to automate a lot of what I was previously doing manually across 6 properties. My team can access the calendar for all bookings, so nothing gets missed, and they can immediately see if someone cancels. I also have a new website and the ability to receive direct bookings through it.

**What do you dislike about Hostaway?**

Nothing negative so far. It’s fairly simple to use overall, although I did need a bit of help setting up the website because that part is a little more complicated. My onboarding expert really helped me through all of it. The price feels fair, especially considering how much support they provide.

**What problems is Hostaway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was managing six properties that aren’t even in the same town, let alone the same country. I was trying to organise team members manually, one by one, while also keeping up with constant booking changes and the endless, repetitive questions that come with them. Quite frankly, things were getting missed. Hostaway has helped me streamline everything and has taken away a lot of the headache.

**What do you like best about Hostaway?**

The biggest win for me has been bringing all my OTA channels into one place. Airbnb, Booking.com, and Expedia now sync into a single calendar, so the double-booking risk—and the manual iCal juggling I used to do across several properties—is gone. The built-in dynamic pricing also replaced a separate tool I was paying a lot more for, and it’s held up well for rate optimisation while cutting that cost roughly in half. Setting up my own direct booking website was straightforward too, so I can now take commission-free reservations alongside the OTAs.

Day to day, the dashboard is clean, and once everything is set up, the channel integrations just work.

One honest piece of advice for anyone considering Hostaway: put in the effort to understand the system. It’s deep and powerful, and when it’s properly configured, it’s genuinely awesome to run. The onboarding support is excellent, and Mel can teach you a huge amount, but she can’t run it for you—you have to do the learning yourself. If you go in willing to put in that work, the payoff is fewer errors, lower software costs, and hours of admin saved every week.

**What do you dislike about Hostaway?**

Honestly, there’s very little I dislike. The main challenge is the learning curve. There’s a lot of depth here, and at the beginning it took me time to figure out where every setting lived and to understand how the automations and pricing rules fit together. That isn’t really a fault of the product—it’s the trade-off for how powerful it is—but a newcomer should expect to invest real time before it clicks.

One thing that would make the early days smoother is a more guided first-run setup for the direct booking website, especially around the custom domain and SSL steps. In terms of performance, the platform has been stable and fast for me, with no real downtime to complain about. The AI and automation tools are genuinely useful once configured, but they definitely reward you for taking the time to set them up properly rather than expecting them to work perfectly out of the box. None of this is a dealbreaker, and support was quick whenever I had a question.

**What problems is Hostaway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Hostaway, the hardest part of running several holiday rentals was keeping every OTA in sync. We struggled to keep calendars, availability, and prices aligned across Airbnb, Booking.com, and Expedia, and it meant constant manual iCal work with a real risk of double bookings. Now everything runs through one central calendar, so a single change is pushed out to every channel automatically. That alone has removed the double-booking risk and saves us several hours of admin every week.

The second challenge was pricing. We were paying for a separate dynamic pricing tool and still doing a lot of adjustments by hand. Now pricing is built directly into the platform, it updates rates automatically, and it costs us roughly half what the old tool did, which has directly improved our return.

The third issue was relying entirely on OTA channels and their commissions. Now we run our own direct booking website on top of Hostaway and take commission-free reservations through it, so each direct booking avoids the OTA fee we used to pay. Additionally we are now also on Google Vacancies

Overall, the result is fewer errors, lower software costs, and noticeably less time spent on admin—which, for a hands-on owner, is exactly where the value is.

Honestly, what I like best about Hostaway is how it keeps everything in one place. It syncs calendars, automates guest messages, and just makes managing multiple listings way less stressful. It saves time and helps us give guests a smoother experience most of the time. And I truly appreciate Carlito, who always assists me and makes the process even easier.

**What do you dislike about Hostaway?**

One area I find challenging with Hostaway is the complexity of the interface. While the platform is feature‑rich, navigating certain settings can feel unintuitive and time‑consuming. A more streamlined, user‑friendly design would make daily operations smoother.

**What problems is Hostaway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hostaway’s Booking.com exporting feature solves the challenge of keeping reservations and guest details aligned across platforms. Instead of manually re‑entering or cross‑checking bookings, everything is synced automatically into Hostaway. This reduces errors, saves time, and ensures that guest communication, calendar updates, and reporting stay consistent. It’s a huge benefit for daily operations because it eliminates duplication and keeps all property data centralized.

Customer Service! Alma Gutierrez has been wonderful while working with me. Over the few calls we have had, we connected very well, and to say the least, she is very knowledgeable, patient, understanding, and a pleasure to work with. About the platform itself, it is very responsive, and has a lot of depth in terms of the features it carries for an affordable price.

**What do you dislike about Hostaway?**

I haven't used the platform for a long time, so I cannot speak to its longevity. However, from the time I've used it it is feature-heavy, and the customer service is there, so if you have any questions, I'm sure that the team will be able to handle it and to give you some sort of a solution.

**What problems is Hostaway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Making it super easy for me to manage all of my properties and having everything in one unified platform rather than using a number of different softwares.

Tomas Ravina has been an excellent onboarding mentor. He walks me through everything and I feel so equipped to use the Hostaway Platform. He's kind, patient and extremely knowledgable. Using Hostway has been so much easier than my experience with other platforms.

The downside is the extra costs. I was disappointed to find out that there is an $8 dollar charge per propertyfor adding automated keyless entry codes.

It's helping me with my direct booking and I'm hoping that I get more direct bookings because of it but so far, I haven't gotten any.

The all-in-one automation + rock-solid channel manager + unified inbox combo.
Once it’s set up (which you already know is painless thanks to their support), it basically runs your business on autopilot. It eliminates 90%+ of the daily manual work that used to eat up hours — messaging guests, updating calendars, handling inquiries, tasks, etc. Most hosts say this one feature set is what finally lets them scale without burning out or hiring extra help.

**What do you dislike about Hostaway?**

Learning Curve & “Too Much” for Small Portfolios.  The platform is powerful, which means it can feel overwhelming or overly complex if you only have 1–10 properties.

Hostaway turns a chaotic short-term rental operation into a smooth, profitable, almost hands-off business. Most hosts say the time + money it saves pays for itself many times over.

I am impressed with Hostaway so far. The AI features are genuinely useful , the UI/UX is clean and intuitive, which makes day-to-day management smoother.

Onboarding has been so far seamless and the team has been super helpful and responsive throughout. Great experience overall

The custom pages for the booking engine (very few options to customize the template for direct bookings), and the fact that there is no compliance so I need to integrate a third party.

Managing everything in one place without chaos. From channel management and automated messaging to pricing and guest communication, it removes a lot of manual work and fragmentation between tools. The automation and AI features help us stay responsive to guests while scaling the business more efficiently.

It can do everything I need to, plus things I didn’t even know I needed!  Deborah who helped with onboarding was incredible, very friendly and explained everything so well, she showed me how to do things and I can tell she is very patient and does what she can to help you with anything you need!

**What do you dislike about Hostaway?**

I can't think of anything, maybe just one very minor thing is that we have to input reviews for the platform to choose from when automating instead of the review being generated itself but it's not a big issue.

Things like guests having a portal to get their invoice (saves me time creating and sending them), also getting on to Google Vacations

**What do you like best about Hostaway?**

I like that Hostaway is very comprehensive and helps get onto Google Apartments, which can be difficult to do by yourself. I also appreciate the cookie-cutter website they built for direct bookings, which lets me avoid short-term leasing host charges like Airbnb's 15%. This makes it possible to offer guests a cheaper stay while ensuring my place is still rented out. The onboarding process with Tomas Ravina was very smooth, and he did an excellent job explaining each step, making the whole setup less overwhelming- as there is just a ton to get set up- there's nothing you can do about that. It just has to get done. I think some pre-printed pamphlets or literature with screenshots of the site or mobile app would be nice. If Hostaway hires me for the educational/training department, I'd love to make these for them! lol

**What do you dislike about Hostaway?**

I think some of the calendar features don't update or sync quite as readily, and I noticed that the mobile app has a million updates every single time, and so I miss notifications because I don't have the newest update from this morning type of thing. I also understand that somethings can't be integrated perfectly (e.g. some updates to bookings.com). Again, there should be some pre-printed pamphlets or "study material" that hosts can reference for things like this.

Hostaway automates mundane tasks like scheduling cleaners after reservations and prevents double bookings across listings. It also handles financial collections for occupancy tax requirements.

Warren Figueroa was a super awesome help for onboarding and made the initial setup super easy. I feel like it will definitely make managing all the different platforms more direct and easy. I really like the calendar feature and how I can make edits to a listing and push it out to all the different platforms. The financial dashboard is valuable for tracking progress and assessing how we're doing on a business level. It's very cohesive. Tasks can be shared with the cleaning crew, and aspects like insurance and smart locks are streamlined through Hostaway.

I think it would be cool to see when a guest reads the message. That would be helpful.

**What problems is Hostaway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hostaway makes managing properties easy and streamlines all platforms in one spot. I like how I can push edits to different platforms and track progress with the financial dashboard. Sharing tasks with the cleaning crew is seamless, and managing insurance and smart locks is cohesive.

I really value Hostaway for its simplicity in the setup and use of tools, which is a huge time-saver for me. Probably the integration with Booking.com could be better. The ability to manage all the same things I can manage on Airbnb, VRBO, etc on Hostaway isn't the same on Booking.com. I still have to manually change pictures and certain other things directly on Booking.com.

Hostaway lets me manage listings on all platforms and track performance in one place, cutting down on time spent back and forth with guests and individual platforms. It's simple, easy, and saves me a ton of time.

I like how Hostaway's menu and platform are straightforward and easy to navigate, which saves me time and makes it easier to access things quickly. It's great that it offers customization options, allowing me to tailor the platform to my specific needs and company size, making it suitable for a variety of users. The initial setup was very easy, and the onboarding experience was great, with my onboarding specialist Mateo being very helpful and knowledgeable. I appreciate the increased customization offered by Hostaway, which was a deciding factor for switching from another product.

**What do you dislike about Hostaway?**

I think the UI is a bit primitive compared to the compettition. It might not be as straightforward as other platforms. The phone app doesn't have a lot of features, including financial reporting and owner statements, or the ability to log expenses. These are very important to me because they'd save a lot of time. I would love to have financial analytics available on the app, rather than only on the desktop. It's surprising that Hostaway doesn't have them as other property management software apps do. It does create more work for me.

**What do you like best about Hostaway?**

Bryann, my onboarding specialist, has been amazing, making the initial setup very easy and seamless. His patience in teaching me about all the technological things I don't usually understand has been extremely valuable. I find the automatic messaging feature wonderful, and the locks feature is fantastic. The ability to input door codes and the automations with AI responses are amazing, making me happy with the software and inclined to recommend it.

**What do you dislike about Hostaway?**

The pricing dynamic is absolutely terrible. I would like to see a better pricing software. It's not really a pricing software at all. It's actually just a really terrible addition because it doesn't work. I would like to see a little bit more ease of use as far as the formulas.

**What problems is Hostaway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hostaway helps me manage multiple calendars and accounting for my vacation rental properties. It makes life easier with features like automatic messaging, door code input, and automation, which I find wonderful.

**What do you like best about Hostaway?**

I think Hostaway is a great product. You get a lot of bang for your buck for the price. It's very effective, and I wouldn't be able to run my business as efficiently as I am without it. I like that it has all the tools or most of the tools I need for my business, keeping my tech stack pretty efficient and clean. I'm not bolting on a thousand programs to the back of it, and it handles about 80% of the heavy lifting of my business. The listing editor is great, and the sync works really well. The owner statements and financial formulas work really well and are really clean. I also find the initial setup easy because Hostaway set me up with a one-on-one guide and did the entire thing with me. I can't say enough good things about it; I couldn't run my business without it for sure.

**What do you dislike about Hostaway?**

It seems like over the last few months, they have maybe grown quite a bit or gotten rid of potentially some support people. The AI support bot has started to step in at least as a first responder, which does a decent enough job, but when you really need help and you need a person, especially a skilled person, it seems like the wait time for that has gotten quite a bit longer. I'll add a point of feedback to Hostaway, which is that I think that there should be a premium option for support where we pay, it could be a significant rate, like $100 an hour USD for high level support.

Hostaway helps me list and manage short-term rentals across multiple platforms effectively. It provides great value for its price, allowing me to run my business efficiently without needing additional software.
