**What do you like best about Hostaway?**

The user-friendly interface and speed to set up our booking engine were our two favorite features. Also, the customer service with the onboarding calls was very helpful.

**What do you dislike about Hostaway?**

There isn't much I can say that I dislike about the software. There are a few features I wish they had (PointCentral integration, ability to download nightly rates into a spreadsheet, etc). Still, these features are either in the process of coming out, or they aren't significant enough to be an issue.

**Recommendations to others considering Hostaway:**

There isn't one software out there that does everything, but HostAway is as close as you'll get to perfect.

**What problems is Hostaway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're able to automate our messages to guests on all platforms, manage our cleaning schedules with cleaner logins, and owner statements are easily created and calculated.

Customer service! Paul - our customer representative - is fantastic. He's very responsive when we have a question, and helpful during the onboarding calls.

**What do you dislike about Hostaway?**

So far so good. No complains yet. If anything, a chatbox with 24/7 customer service would be even better.

Great product and worth a try!

A platform to manage all my short-term rental listings on multiple short-term rental platforms (airbnb, vrbo, booking.com, etc.) 
All the integrations and automation have saved us a lot of time and headache.

The mobile app is still a bit underdeveloped, especially the multi-unit setup.

Software is very user friendly!  I am able to automate many processes, saving myself and my team time.

End of month reconciliations are a little cumbersome, but they are constantly improving the process.

Direct bookings are what I am looking to improve in with a VRM software platform and so fare Hostaway is helping increase these.

My onboarding calls have been very helpful. Paul always asks what i want to focus on on the next call so we have a clear learning journey for the platform.

Manual invoicing is quite complicated. You have to create save as a PDF and send. There is no automatic way to send and the invoices don't look great.

**What do you like best about Hostaway?**

Simple to use but powerful enough to fulfill our main requirements.
We find that we pretty much use every single feature in the software, we can see the attention to the detail that makes it user friendly and feature rich while still streamlined to what is needed.

The support has been exceptional. The onboarding went very well, we were given as much time and attention as we needed and after that support as been always very quick to answer and helpful.

We have looked into quite a few channel/booking managers and the ones we've looked at were either too expensive, too bloated and hard to use or missing functionality.

We've found Hostaway to offer the right balance.

**What do you dislike about Hostaway?**

We find a few bits and pieces missing, mostly specific to us, when comparing with other more localized products (for instance ability to automatically send SEF bulletins), but Hostaway is regularly releasing new features and we look forward to see more in the future.

**What problems is Hostaway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hostaway is a key part of how we manage our rental, from the initial guest inquiry to the review. In between, all communication with the guest, a lot of it automated, organising the tasks for our staff, coordinating the different channels and calendars and financial overview and details for our accountant.

Easy to use and set dynamic pricing, Integration with various channels is a breeze.  The best part of all is the Outstanding support and onboarding process.

Nothing. I love Hostaway. If I have to pick something, it would be the website builder, but I know this is in the works and will be released soon.

You will get the best experience with Hostaway. My support rep and onboarding specialist PAUL was outstanding and very knowledgeable.  You will be happy with having Hostaway as your PMS.

Our team has been very happy with Hostaway. It’s very user friendly and reliable. We came from a different PMS that always had bugs that we were having to report and that has not been the case with Hostaway. It has a robust set of tools and they are constantly releasing new ones. They regularly take feedback from us as to what features would serve our team.

**What do you dislike about Hostaway?**

There are honestly no dislikes to report!

**What problems is Hostaway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was with Hostaway in early 2019 and honestly wasn’t super impressed. I left for about a year and a half to try a competitor. I demoed with and switched back to them mid 2020. They had developed their product a ton! Since being back with them they have continued to develop aggressively. I currently have just over 50 properties but expect to be over 150 by the end of 2021. We need a robust reliable software to scale that quickly and we’ve found that with Hostaway!

I like that on my second day, I've accomplished what I had tried to do with another company three months in, and it was going to take three months more. All I wanted to do was put a calendar and enable booking on my website.  It's now completed on day two of training!!!  Wow.  I wasted three months with the other company and hadn't gotten close to where I am today and spent a butt load of money for nothing, and their homework was ridiculous!

I can't really think of anything so far!

I've accomplished what I set out to do! in two sessions with Uvindu! I still will be learning more as I go through this with him, but he's very patient, and that's good since I'm older and sometimes don't get some of this right off the bat!

Friendly, helpful support people--in this case, Paul and Amanda.  Sophisticated financial reporting and tax caculation tools available in software.

**What do you dislike about Hostaway?**

HostAway has a more sophisticated and versatile financial reporting system so it takes some tweaking to set up reports in a way that one knows one is comparing the data properly to financial reports that one generates via Airbnb and VRBO.  This is not really a dislike, just a note that some additional work is involved while onboarding.

I'm solving the issue of how I can make reporting on financial performance more effective for my company and for the owners it reports to.

The software and service provided by HostAway and my integration specialist Paul S, has been fantastic.  Paul has spent many hours of time helping me to get the software set up exactly how I need it and he does much homework in preparation for our calls.  I am very pleased to be using this very comprehensive service.

I wish I had more time to commit to working on the implementation.  The software is so comprehensive that it takes time to get it just right.

Responsive and competent support, which is indeed excellent. AirBNB implementation is great. Product is constantly improving.

**What do you dislike about Hostaway?**

Implementation of syncing with booking.com is a bit problematic. In some instances, there is no proper two-way synchronization and also messages don't push to hostaway in real-time. That is problematic when there is an urgent communication with a guest and we often resort to using booking's pulse app because there the messages of the guest appear instantly. Also, there are some issues with pushing information to booking.

That we are lacking integration of KLARNA with stripe. If this would be implemented we'd use Hostaway even more.

Managing listings on various platforms and dealing with guests. Also automating cleaning, check-in and guest communication as well as parts of our payment process.

Onboarding with a new software system is always going to have challenges. There is a steep learning curve but my on boarding specialist is helping me navigate the process. I feel very supported and all of my questions are being addressed. The support I’m receiving from my onboarding specialist  is incredibly kind and patient.

**What do you dislike about Hostaway?**

I can definitely feel frustrated that I don’t know how to navigate this PMS system fully yet. It is going to take time for me to learn all of the functionality. I’m sure within six months I will be able to navigate the system effortlessly.

Hostaway is making it possible to combine a number of separate systems that I currently have in place. Once completely on boarded I will be able to utilize hostaway as my main portal for all of the functions of my short term rental business.

Hostaway is an up and coming property management software. We found the price attractive, but Marcus and the customer service team sold us. They are constantly updating and occasionally when there is an issue they immediately attend to our needs. The software is user friendly, and there are great tutorials available.

**What do you dislike about Hostaway?**

Occasionally there are glitches with their updates, but they quickly attend to the issue and update. There are multiple steps to uploading a property and syncing/importing from the other booking engines. We hope in the future it will be more seamless.

**What problems is Hostaway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Property Management and booking engine synced with our website. We are constantly updating and changing our 20-30 properties due to resales and property management changes. Their booking calendar is constantly updating, and we find it very easy to use. We can also allow our property owners access to the calendar without sharing other aspects of the listing.

The flexibility on pricing and the availability of multiple services such as website build for specific listings, email and customer notifications, and reporting services for analytics made Hostaway a standout choice for my business model.

There are a lot of detailed steps required to set up new properties.  If there was a more streamlined one-button type setup, it might be more efficient, especially when multiple units and properties are required to build.

Having our listings on multiple websites is the key factor.  Also having the ability to book with a dedicated web page build for our specific units is great as it offers an alternative to 3rd party booking sites.

The learning curve. it takes a lot to understand a new software and it is not as intuitive as we had hoped but I feel it will get easier and make more sense once we are fully onboarded.

I could not manage the properties that I manage alone without this program. It keeps me organized and makes connecting with my guests and scheduling cleanings a breeze! The feature that allows you to create a "mother" listing with "child" listings connected is amazing when you have a two in one listing.

Some rare things still need to be done directly through Airbnb but I'm sure this will be updated over time.

One of the PM I'm working with migrated to Hostaway and the task feature improved the PM and cleaner communication. The mobile app is can be used to send pictures and attachments before and after the cleaning.

The checklist in the task is big and it can be better by having a popup kind of option. In the desktop version, they can improve the way of how they organize the takes and how they showing them in the calendar.
