**What do you like best about Hostaway?**

Customer Service! Alma Gutierrez has been wonderful while working with me. Over the few calls we have had, we connected very well, and to say the least, she is very knowledgeable, patient, understanding, and a pleasure to work with. About the platform itself, it is very responsive, and has a lot of depth in terms of the features it carries for an affordable price.

**What do you dislike about Hostaway?**

I haven't used the platform for a long time, so I cannot speak to its longevity. However, from the time I've used it it is feature-heavy, and the customer service is there, so if you have any questions, I'm sure that the team will be able to handle it and to give you some sort of a solution.

**What problems is Hostaway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Making it super easy for me to manage all of my properties and having everything in one unified platform rather than using a number of different softwares.

**What do you like best about Hostaway?**

The all-in-one automation + rock-solid channel manager + unified inbox combo.
Once it’s set up (which you already know is painless thanks to their support), it basically runs your business on autopilot. It eliminates 90%+ of the daily manual work that used to eat up hours — messaging guests, updating calendars, handling inquiries, tasks, etc. Most hosts say this one feature set is what finally lets them scale without burning out or hiring extra help.

**What do you dislike about Hostaway?**

Learning Curve & “Too Much” for Small Portfolios.  The platform is powerful, which means it can feel overwhelming or overly complex if you only have 1–10 properties.

Hostaway turns a chaotic short-term rental operation into a smooth, profitable, almost hands-off business. Most hosts say the time + money it saves pays for itself many times over.

I am impressed with Hostaway so far. The AI features are genuinely useful , the UI/UX is clean and intuitive, which makes day-to-day management smoother.

Onboarding has been so far seamless and the team has been super helpful and responsive throughout. Great experience overall

**What do you dislike about Hostaway?**

The custom pages for the booking engine (very few options to customize the template for direct bookings), and the fact that there is no compliance so I need to integrate a third party.

Managing everything in one place without chaos. From channel management and automated messaging to pricing and guest communication, it removes a lot of manual work and fragmentation between tools. The automation and AI features help us stay responsive to guests while scaling the business more efficiently.

**What do you like best about Hostaway?**

Warren Figueroa was a super awesome help for onboarding and made the initial setup super easy. I feel like it will definitely make managing all the different platforms more direct and easy. I really like the calendar feature and how I can make edits to a listing and push it out to all the different platforms. The financial dashboard is valuable for tracking progress and assessing how we're doing on a business level. It's very cohesive. Tasks can be shared with the cleaning crew, and aspects like insurance and smart locks are streamlined through Hostaway.

**What do you dislike about Hostaway?**

I think it would be cool to see when a guest reads the message. That would be helpful.

**What problems is Hostaway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hostaway makes managing properties easy and streamlines all platforms in one spot. I like how I can push edits to different platforms and track progress with the financial dashboard. Sharing tasks with the cleaning crew is seamless, and managing insurance and smart locks is cohesive.

**What do you like best about Hostaway?**

I really value Hostaway for its simplicity in the setup and use of tools, which is a huge time-saver for me. It helps me cut down on time spent going back and forth with guests and eliminates the need to access each individual platform for hosting. Everything is managed in one place, allowing me to track performance easily across multiple platforms. This tool is simple, easy, and has become an essential part of my workflow for managing eight listings.

**What do you dislike about Hostaway?**

Probably the integration with Booking.com could be better. The ability to manage all the same things I can manage on Airbnb, VRBO, etc on Hostaway isn't the same on Booking.com. I still have to manually change pictures and certain other things directly on Booking.com.

Hostaway lets me manage listings on all platforms and track performance in one place, cutting down on time spent back and forth with guests and individual platforms. It's simple, easy, and saves me a ton of time.

**What do you like best about Hostaway?**

I like how Hostaway's menu and platform are straightforward and easy to navigate, which saves me time and makes it easier to access things quickly. It's great that it offers customization options, allowing me to tailor the platform to my specific needs and company size, making it suitable for a variety of users. The initial setup was very easy, and the onboarding experience was great, with my onboarding specialist Mateo being very helpful and knowledgeable. I appreciate the increased customization offered by Hostaway, which was a deciding factor for switching from another product.

**What do you dislike about Hostaway?**

I think the UI is a bit primitive compared to the compettition. It might not be as straightforward as other platforms. The phone app doesn't have a lot of features, including financial reporting and owner statements, or the ability to log expenses. These are very important to me because they'd save a lot of time. I would love to have financial analytics available on the app, rather than only on the desktop. It's surprising that Hostaway doesn't have them as other property management software apps do. It does create more work for me.

Hostaway saves me time and enables me to get more done with less time, offering a better guest experience. It makes accessing things quick and easy.

**What do you like best about Hostaway?**

Bryann, my onboarding specialist, has been amazing, making the initial setup very easy and seamless. His patience in teaching me about all the technological things I don't usually understand has been extremely valuable. I find the automatic messaging feature wonderful, and the locks feature is fantastic. The ability to input door codes and the automations with AI responses are amazing, making me happy with the software and inclined to recommend it.

**What do you dislike about Hostaway?**

The pricing dynamic is absolutely terrible. I would like to see a better pricing software. It's not really a pricing software at all. It's actually just a really terrible addition because it doesn't work. I would like to see a little bit more ease of use as far as the formulas.

**What problems is Hostaway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hostaway helps me manage multiple calendars and accounting for my vacation rental properties. It makes life easier with features like automatic messaging, door code input, and automation, which I find wonderful.

**What do you like best about Hostaway?**

I think Hostaway is a great product. You get a lot of bang for your buck for the price. It's very effective, and I wouldn't be able to run my business as efficiently as I am without it. I like that it has all the tools or most of the tools I need for my business, keeping my tech stack pretty efficient and clean. I'm not bolting on a thousand programs to the back of it, and it handles about 80% of the heavy lifting of my business. The listing editor is great, and the sync works really well. The owner statements and financial formulas work really well and are really clean. I also find the initial setup easy because Hostaway set me up with a one-on-one guide and did the entire thing with me. I can't say enough good things about it; I couldn't run my business without it for sure.

**What do you dislike about Hostaway?**

It seems like over the last few months, they have maybe grown quite a bit or gotten rid of potentially some support people. The AI support bot has started to step in at least as a first responder, which does a decent enough job, but when you really need help and you need a person, especially a skilled person, it seems like the wait time for that has gotten quite a bit longer. I'll add a point of feedback to Hostaway, which is that I think that there should be a premium option for support where we pay, it could be a significant rate, like $100 an hour USD for high level support.

Hostaway helps me list and manage short-term rentals across multiple platforms effectively. It provides great value for its price, allowing me to run my business efficiently without needing additional software.

The robust API and seamless integration with third-party tools like PriceLabs make it a powerful 'source of truth.' I highly value the ability to manage complex pricing markups and availability across Airbnb, VRBO, and Booking.com from one central dashboard. But beyond the software itself, what really made the difference for us was the onboarding experience. Alma Gutierrez was phenomenal—she patiently answered all our questions and made what could have been a stressful transition incredibly smooth for our business. Her support is a huge asset to the company.

The platform has a significant learning curve due to its depth of features. Some pre-built automations could be beneficial.

Hostaway effectively eliminates the risk of double-bookings across multiple OTA platforms. It allows us to seamlessly scale our expanding rental portfolio by automating guest communications and centralizing financial data, which saves us significant manual administrative time every week.

I’d like to see a membership option to track a single property, since I run a small business and available properties fluctuate from season to season.

Mel has been exceptional, truly patient with my temperament and the stress the process has caused me. But I can only say that she has been very professional, kind, and above all proactive, attentive throughout the process.

Staff like Mel are hard to find, she takes her work very seriously and it shows!

Some situations suggest a lack of internal organization or poor communication between teams. For example, billing.

The simplicity of using Hostaway is the most exciting thing for me, along with the intuitive interface. These two aspects are what I was looking for, as they allow for easier delegation to other people within the company for using the platform. The intuitive interface enables collaborators to find solutions independently and intuitively, which is important to me. Additionally, the home boarding process was really very simple and fast thanks to Melania's help, making the onboarding aspect very positive.

I use Hostaway to manage the multi-calendar, assign tasks automatically, communicate with guests, manage accounting, and create reports for property owners, always keeping the accounts under control.

With onboarding app architecture, it requires time to get use to a new platform, which will ultimately make our roles easier from property managers, cleaners and maintenance.

I like that Hostaway allows the use of platforms like VRBO while providing simple solutions for clarity. The mobile view of the calendar is particularly nice, which is perfect for me. I also greatly appreciate the support; Antoine was extremely competent and friendly. He took the time to explain everything clearly and simply, and was able to answer every specific question in detail. The support is truly perfect.

I find the clarity in the calendar on the desktop view needs improvement. Additionally, there are errors in the adoption of notification settings.

I use Hostaway to clearly display and manage bookings from all platforms. It allows us to receive more bookings and also integrate platforms like VRBO, with simple solutions helping with the overview.

Mel was amazing from start to finish. I have only ever used Guesty, so being new to Hostaway, she was super patient with all my questions. Not only helped me guide my way through it, but even got involved with our marketing team to guide them. She is a credit to the company and our company, STAY Group were thrilled to have her as our onboarding tutor.

Honestly nothing. Everything is fully functional, flexible and easy to manage.

It is helping us manage our portfolio and also drive bookings in through your widget which is a huge help, as we do not yet have our own booking platform.

Once in awhile, I get a really fantastic technical support team member like, Kristna A! WOWSA! I got lucky because she was able to help me configure monthly tax remittance.

**What do you dislike about Hostaway?**

Once in awhile, some of the wait times are 45 minutes to an hour. But you guys are working on that so I am rest assured! Otherwise, everything is all good.

HostAway is teaching me how to reset up my vacation rental business model to achieve more exposure in the rental market.

I like the ease of use, along with the central inbox and API integrations in Hostaway. These API integrations make it possible to list on multiple channels without worrying about double bookings, thanks to the real-time updates. I had a great experience with the onboarding process, especially with Alma Gutierrez, who did an outstanding job helping us get started.

Could have better owner notifications, the ability to set up reminders as well as schedule an online payment link with a due date as opposed to only due now.

Hostaway offers expanded opportunities across channels, is easy to use, and serves as a single source to manage properties. Its API integrations help avoid double bookings and keep listings up-to-date.

The onboarding process is fantastic.  My onboarder Ces Capon was amazing.  Friendly, knowledgeable and patient.  And the 24hr help desk is a great too!  I feel completely supported every step of the way.  And the Hostaway platform is comprehensive and easy to negotiate.  I’m very happy ☺️

It makes it really convenient for me to reach out directly to guests' emails or phone numbers, which helps in potentially getting direct bookings in the future. I also love having our own booking site, which allows us to book guests directly from our website and further streamlines the booking process.

Letters could be bold. The lite color makes it hard to see.

The best thing about Hostaway is the support. They are easy to get a hold of, very knowledgeable, and always helpful. I had complicated PMS setting and automations that took a lot of work to migrate over from Guesty, and Gabriel spent a lot of time with me getting all the settings just right. Also, in between on-boarding sessions when I was stuck on something, their 24/7 call support was ready and willing to help. Even joining google meet sessions with screen share to resolve problems and walk me through features I was unfamiliar with. Overall I'm super glad to get away from Guesty and on to HostAway. I think the software is WAY more intuitive.

**What do you dislike about Hostaway?**

Like any software, they are improving things. I like this way better than Guesty, but one of my main reasons for changing was the improved API integration with Airbnb which allows the selection of who the message sender is in Airbnb when sending messages from Hostaway. This is not perfect as you cannot set a default sender, which I didn't know. However, I raised this concern and got a very nice email from the development team letting me know they will actively work on this. They are even leaving my ticket open to let me know once it has been completed. This is such a far cry above the service level of Guesty, I can't even begin to tell you.

**What problems is Hostaway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Like any good STR PMS - this helps me manage all of my calendars, communications, and automations in one place for all my distribution channels. This software is just much easier to use than the previous one I was on (Guesty). One of my chief complaints with Guesty is that you cannot call in for support, and their software is unnecessarily complicated. Nothing is intuitive, not even setting names. Many times when I got stuck, I would spend more than an hour on instant message with support trying to resolve a problem, only for them to say they couldn't resolve it because they were on the wrong team and needed to escalate it, which meant it wouldn't get solved for several more business days, and would have to be resolved by email. Even then, many times, they didn't correctly understand my problem for whatever reason. Hostaway solves this by using intuitive user-friendly UX, and they have support members who speak great English, and are 24/7 available and ready to help solve your problems.

Hostaway delivers exactly what they advertise, plus more. From the get-go our assigned ambassador, Fatih, has been incredibly helpful and right next to us every step of the way. Right away we set up the connections and got access to the main functions we were interested in, but the more we use the Software and the more we consult with Fatih, the more things we unlock and access. 

They've definitely spent a lot of time thinking about what a host/property manager needs out of their software and have made it easy to access and tweak. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a serious channel manager, coming from experience having used 2 other APIs in the past. I can't stress out enough how amazing it is to have a really helpful, always available and cheerful Customer Support Agent at your side, who speaks clear English.

**What do you dislike about Hostaway?**

So far I dislike two things, which is the lack of a night-mode (as I use it on every application and I think it's mandatory) and secondly, the lack of auto-translation, or a translation button in the inbox. There's of course ways to go around this using 3rd party extensions, but it'd be nice to have in the software.

Channel Manager, Calendar Sync, Instant Inbox across platforms or SMS, easy-to-access edits and tweaks for every listing, easy export to all platforms, financial reports, statistics, easy to implement add-ons, really nice and easy to use booking engine and a lot more. 

These features have been exactly what we need to make our Property Management a whole lot easier and less stressful. Everything's all at one place.

Three things come immediately to mind. First, the feature set within the application is very rich and capable. Second, since nobody can be all things to all people, Hostaway partners with with tons of 3rd-party providers in building out a large number of integrations, allowing businesses to tailor Hostaway for their own unique circumstances. Finally and most importantly, their tech & customer support is top notch, allowing for email or phone support 24/7, with quick and speedy response! Yes, the platform is expansive and takes time to learn but the team around the product makes it easy to come to speed on any topic you can think of.

Perhaps Hostaway can make it easier to allow customers submitting feature requests to see if A) their requests have been accepted and B) where in queue their feature request might be relative to all other submitted requests.

It appears that hostaway updated my review score without my consent and also removed some of the content in my original review.

**What do you dislike about Hostaway?**

Customer support is inconsistent. I was locked out of my account, with no phone number work on and nobody responding helpfully on the support number. This was critical as as a business owner, I could not see what was happening on my account when I had active reservations. Hostaway also has lots of hidden fees which I wasn't aware of prior to using it initially. Firstly, they take a % of the booking fee for direct bookings (despite calling it a free booking engine). This means we now have to go out of hostaway to handle payments for direct bookings, which really defeats the purpose of using it. We were also forced to switch to Airbnb's 15% host only fee, which wasn't made clear prior to starting. We took advantage of lots of extra features such as smart lock integrations, but this is just an additional fee on top of the smart lock subscription fee we already pay to the smart lock provider. This seems unreasonable. So, in summary, I would say the product has been helpful in scaling listings, however, we are now looking elsewhere. I recommend comparing the actual running costs of this software with other providers, and agreeing an SLA where it is not possible to be locked out of your account

Automating everyday tasks, eliminating the possiblity of double-bookings, increasing revenue through direct bookings (although reducing revenue somewhat as it still takes a fee from that)
