I have been using Hivel every week now and it has helped me and my team to understand our delivery speed and quality. It has been helpful to present progress visibility to leadership as well. The metrics and insights are very easy to consume and view. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
No major painpoints as of now, everything working fine ... Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I appreciate the realtime data it shows from Git and Jira and helps us easily identify any bottlenecks in terms of coding time, code reviews or merges. I personally liked the Activity screen where we can see the frequency and size of code changes done by the developers. Also the pull request screen where we can see the details of all PRs merged by us and understand the blockers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While Hivel provides a lot of integrations, more integrations can increase its value. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Good metrics and features. Leadership knows what they are doing and the support has been phenomenal throughout. The platform is easy to use and derive insights from. Love the AI features they have built. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes 1 day earlier data does not show up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Really easy to use analytics tool where we can get insights and visibility into developer productivity. Its ability to combine data from different sources to show useful metrics is impressive. I especially like the part where we can see sprint wise data from Jira and understand how much coding work was being done in the sprints. Only Jira or Git do not have this capability. Not a deal breaker, but comparison against industry benchmark is not readily available for all metrics Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Hivel lets us identify what is going well and what not wrt to our engineering teams. In addition to that it gives clear actions which can be taken to address any low hanging areas. The metrics are very useful and the calculation is easy to understand. Their support documentation is very thorough. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The acitivity to update teams is tedious, I wish there was a better way to do that Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I liked best about Hivel is its ability to provide deep insights into our software development process. The standout feature for me is the cockpit, which offers a clear, concise view of key metrics. It helps us assess our organization's performance against specific goals. No more digging through complex data; it's all right there at a glance.
The weekly and monthly activity breakdown was another feature that I found to be quite useful. With this, I could get detailed information about team activity at each level. This granularity could be invaluable for optimizing our workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As with any platform, there's room for improvement - specifically would like to see an improvement in the productivity metrics for QA engineers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The metrics used are very straightforward and they have dashboards to show the data and trends which helps in understanding if there are any blockers faced by our team. The ability to drilldown into granular level and also switch to an org level is very helpful. The team has been very supportive in our queries. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Hivel provide perfect insights about team productivity. When you are handling large engineering team it will always a tedious task to understand the work load and tickets individual team members handling. However, integrating Hivel with GitHub has made this task much more manageable by providing seamless insights into the work being handled by different teams. I find the D3 graph charts generated by Hivel to represent the data in a very intuitive and visually appealing manner, which makes it easier for me to understand the productivity of the team. Nothing as of now. But, I would like to have a feature that will send productivity reports to your inbox on a weekly basis. This will allow you to easily view high level insights into the work being handled by your team. The reports to include information such as the number of tickets closed, the number of pull requests merged, and any other metrics that you would like to track. The product is intuitive & very easy to use. As an engineering manager, it helps me capture project and team-level insights quickly on a single screen, which is very helpful. I've been using it to coach my teams on areas of improvement like code reviews, and to report engineering performance to management. I also use the platform to see where the teams are spending their effort and track if that's aligned with business goals. This ensures timely course correction. Nothing to dislike at this point. I'm able to get all the relavant information from Hivel and therefore I dont see any negative points about the application as it is well crafted. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The platform is intuitive and UI/UX is seamless. I can visualize metrics quickly on a single screen without much back and forth. The Cockpit screen has been particularly helpful in seeing the bigger picture of the entire org's performance on a single screen and comparing the performance of teams.
