**What do you like best about HireRight?**

I tried 4x to have employee screenings, CORI, Nurses AIDE registry. No luck.  I was on hold once talking with a customer service rep, and we were disconnected and no one ever called me back. THere is no orginazation. The Rep's are constantly putting you on hold. There is no 1 on 1 for your first employee reveiw. AWFUL   Stay away.

**What do you dislike about HireRight?**

Terrible customer service, No return calls, The reps do not know the system. Too confusing.

**What problems is HireRight solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No benefits with this company,  just agro, no help, ... Terrible.

**What do you like best about HireRight?**

I've been using HireRight for employee and contractor background checks for over 7 years now.  The process is very simple and affordable.  Customer service is quick to respond to questions and background checks typically come back very quickly.  The interface is easy to navigate and background checks can be submitted in just a few minutes.  Accounts and sub-accounts are very easy to setup and manage.  Adjudication process is very simple as well.

**What do you dislike about HireRight?**

I don't really have anything bad to say about HireRight.  I've been very pleased with their service.  If I had to say something, it would be the list of available background checks can be a bit confusing if you don't know what kind of background check you should be running.

**Recommendations to others considering HireRight:**

If you're in the market for a background check company/platform, I would highly suggest HireRight.  Their customer service is top notch (both phone and online chat).  The interface is very easy to navigate which makes submitted background checks a breeze.  The adjudication process takes but a few seconds.  Highly highly recommend.

**What problems is HireRight solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In my industry, all employees and contractors must have a seven year background check.  HireRight has simplified this process for us to the point where a background check can be submitted in a few minutes and results are typically turned around in a few days, sometimes within the same day depending on the areas where the background check is being run.

THey only reply to my email with not helpful words.

Unprofessional customer services. Super unprofessional staff. I called them, and the staff had no idea about their system and sent two emails for 40 mins. they replied to my email after one week, which is not helpful at all with my problems. 

The poorest service and the most unprofessional company ever.

I actually like nothing about hireright.

**What do you dislike about HireRight?**

Calls to customer service get cut off. Never a call back. I can';t even get them to send an invoice; the only communication is from collections. Criminal reports: in over 1000 requests, there have been 5 actual replies. This does not seem right. Can't get a MVR from NY state with medical certification information. Latest problem - MVR from PA unavailable - for about 2 weeks and blamed this on SDLA. Still billed me and I got them right away froom PA. Bottom line: NEVER any resolution to an issue. NEVER return calls or unsarcastic conversations. 10 thumbs down.

It ran background checks so it did its job.

Clunky interface that looks like something designed in the early 2000s. Horrible customer service (as in nonexistent).

It ran background checks (that were about double the price of the competition). Other than that, no benefits.

**What do you like best about HireRight?**

There is nothing I like about this company.

**What do you dislike about HireRight?**

They do a terrible job with backgrounds.  If you need any assistance you will get a different answer from each person you speak with.  There is no way to make sure things are accurate because no one knows what they are doing.  Reaching anyone at the company is hard.
Things are changing regularly with the company and they do not give any notice so one day you just dont have access to your own reports in ways you previously had.

**Recommendations to others considering HireRight:**

If I were to recommend a background, drug screen, or I9 company it would be anyone except for HireRight.  The product they supply is not of good value.  HireRight overcharges on a lot of their searches and if something is not correct, good luck getting any help.  Even if the error is on their end, such as doing a search that was never authorized and shouldn't have been done, you will be charged for it and you won't be able to get anyone who can give you any straight answers on it.  If you have any delays in the process and have to check in on it, you will get a different answer about what is going on each time you reach out.
This business surprises me regularly that they are still in business.

HireRight has been nothing but a thorn in my side.  They are required to use for one of our vendors but they make a huge mess of most of the reports.  I am still not sure why the vendor uses them but I cannot change it.

**What do you like best about HireRight?**

You can create an account (although instructions were unclear) and log in to see your latest status and report. Pretty easy to connect with a rep online or by phone.

**What do you dislike about HireRight?**

- You will likely get a different answer every time you speak with someone.
- They have no interest in correcting discrepancies or meeting your timeline. You can send them all the additional documents and contacts and they will either reject them, accept them first and reject later or do nothing about it. They will not spend a few minutes to call the direct contact you gave them to verify your employment history.
- Unclear instructions about how to check your status. You will get an initial email that says once you log in with the temporary username and password they will be deactivated. But you can actually try to retrieve your login using forgot your password to check your status.
- If there's a discrepancy or they need additional documents, you may or may not get a delayed email notification. So constantly checking your login or calling them is the best way to keep things moving.

- Background check. It passed eventually but the process was very slow and stressful.

**What do you like best about HireRight?**

Very easy to use, the storage is great within the system. Not confusing at all to click through, very straight forward system. Has different tabs that show if the invitation was sent, and what progress the employment screening is. Been very helpful when you are in time crunching situations to see where the screening is in the process!

**What do you dislike about HireRight?**

Sometimes the fact that the email gets send directly to the applicant is frustrating as the employer doesn't have enough control in that communication. Wish there was a link that the employer could send directly to the candidate to ensure it was received by them.

**What problems is HireRight solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Employment background checks. The benefits include for seamless process for processing background checks. The system is very easy to use, and you are easily able to get all the information that you could need!

Nothing about this practice of trusting some giant privately owned company to collect and store peoples personal information and to judge others from this info or by this incompetent firm.

**What do you dislike about HireRight?**

I have to use Hirerite at my workplace.  They are completely incompetent.  They should not be trusted with such personal information, nor should other's emploment opportunities by decided due to their sloppy work.  But "We the People" must have wanted it this way...?

Do your own diligence.

Running background checks that we have to accept as the best way to select job candidates.

**What do you like best about HireRight?**

Once the information is received it is typically easy to read, review and understand. It works well integrated through tenstreet.

**What do you dislike about HireRight?**

Data takes a while to get back, background checks sometimes miss things, There are too many boxes to check as opposed to a "save my preferences" check when running reports. Also, they get really picky about having the exact right name (hard to do on folks with several names) instead of just giving things to you from the SSN primarily. This makes running those reports frustrating and I have to do it several times until I guess exactly how they have the name in the system. Also some of the picky states like CA, WA and PA are not easy to run reports on. I wish they integrated the legal aspect into their releases so that we can just get it done.

**Recommendations to others considering HireRight:**

A pretty typical background check software. I would look at other options first. They take awhile to get some of the criminal background checks back, and they are not very helpful when you asked them to get on it. Also They won't pull a CDLIS by SSN, I can run all this other information but they really crack down on having the name exactly how they want it to pull a CDLIS.

I recruit truck drivers, this software quickly gets the License information back to me which lets me move forward in the hiring process.

Smooth processing of background checks with focus on candidate's information.

**What do you dislike about HireRight?**

Proper tracking of companies which are closed should be tracked much better. Let's say if i worked at a place which is closed now or is not functional and if it was not on a larger scale the it becomes a bottleneck more often than not.

**What do you like best about HireRight?**

HireRight allows us to contact a nominee to complete and provide its personal data without paper checks. I find it especially useful for pre-employment inspections and training verification. It's good that HireRight has an instant chat feature available so, where we need feedback, we will receive it immediately and keep up with the environment, making it easier for our clients to track the tests.

**What do you dislike about HireRight?**

The background investigation period could take a few days to turn. Unless you intend to incorporate any further websites apart from chosen partners of HireRight, it is hard to maintain the collect page network. Also, when problems arise beyond planned maintenance, the system disruption contact.

**Recommendations to others considering HireRight:**

 HireRight is the appropriate tool for business that needs to complement or opt into full options for screening for experimental drugs, annual MVR pulls. Besides, it is a very affordable tool. However, it may not be suitable for back-up account managers, as it usually requests special permission to have access to your own data and records.

**What problems is HireRight solving and how is that benefiting you?**

HireRight is a tool that is managed in the HR department of my business. It's used for both pre-employment and regular MVR reviews. HireRight allows us to be DOT-compliant, keep workers responsible for upholding our workplace free of drugs and alcohol and make rational decisions about the staff who we recruit. HireRight's ability to conduct foreign inspections makes it easier and simpler as we have many candidates from outside the world.

**What do you like best about HireRight?**

The integration with our ATS system went very smooth and our HireRight implementation contact was great.

**What do you dislike about HireRight?**

They give candidates the ability to opt out of parts of the background check that are required as part of the package. You have to open a new background check and are charged additional al la cart pricing. They have limits on how many MVRs they can submit in certain states in combination with their other clients unless you pay additional fees.

**What do you like best about HireRight?**

The software is very easy to use. Our company used an alternative background check company and that one was very clunky and outdated. It was a very old system and we needed to update the screening software. Then comes HireRight to help us with this process! We've had it for a couple of years and we're quite happy with it. When we send this screening, our candidates typically finish it very quickly, which is important for our company as some of our clients require faster response. HireRight is easy to use and we've used it successfully the last couple of years. It's user friendly, easy to correct and edit checks for employees. 

**What do you dislike about HireRight?**

The time it takes to complete checks for international candidates and pre-employment screening can take some time if you make a mistake on the candidate application. The customer service support could be faster, but otherwise, I'm quite satisfied. Sometimes when our candidates enter their information incorrectly, it takes a while to get an updated spreadsheets and it is a waste of money because the candidate completed an incorrect form. 

**What problems is HireRight solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Problems: It would be helpful for HireRight to contact our candidates if the candidate needs more documents for processing. Sometimes you need more documentation to provide their job/education. HireRight just sends an e-mail, which we have to tell our contractor. Benefits: Ease of sending the documents, ease of editing the documents, and very user friendly.

Incompetent workers, lack of investigation, expect their clients to do the work for them.

Please don't use them to screen applicants. They are incompetent. They will cause a headache for both the employer and potential employee. A joke.

I love that Hireright makes it quick and easy to send your prospective employee the necessary forms for their background screening. When needing to run many backgrounds a day this saves a lot of time. In addition, I like that you can go into each file and track the progress of each background section by section.

**What do you dislike about HireRight?**

When as issue does arrive sometimes their Customer Service team can send you on what feels like a wild goose chase.

**What problems is HireRight solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am definitely solving the issue of time management. And the benefits are the easy tracking of backgrounds to better understand which portion can cause the most holdup.

HireRight gives the best results of background checks, drug test and other employment verification. Also they provide all the documents with verification. Process is very smooth and fast. 

**What do you dislike about HireRight?**

There is no such thing to dislike. Only the chat time is little bit high

The best one for the bgc, drug test, criminal history. Turn around time is very less. Trye and verified results.

We can hire the right candidate with the good backrground and without any issues. Also we can see the status os the bgc online at any time. Before hiring any candidate it is must to verify their past employment and criminal status which HireRight is doing perfectly.

You get you own consultant

You are kept up to date on request. 

Paperless screenings - The ability to send an email invitation to a candidate so they can complete and submit their own background investigation information was a game changer.

I have also had reference requested from me from HireRight and they are very persistant which is reassuring know that they are doing to same with my candidates.

Often to get something resolved you need to escalate it to management and the helpdesk isnt always helpful and do make excuses. It feels as though they need more training and looking at Glassdoor they do have a high turnover of staff.

We have been using HireRight for about a year and everything seems to be going smoothly more or less.  We are having a much better experience, customer service, and quicker turn around time compared to our last vendor, which is why we switched in the first place.

**What do you dislike about HireRight?**

I think there’s a balance between getting the check done quickly and getting it done thoroughly.  Sometimes I wish a stronger attempt was made at confirming information, instead of just writing it off as completed without actually confirming some of the provided by a candidate.

We are having a much better experience, customer service, and quicker turn around time compared to our last vendor, which is why we switched in the first place. Have not had nearly as many issues so we are spending less time managing the vendor which is great.

HireRight is extremely easy to use. I used it several times when I was completing background checks on new hires. It was very easy to navigate through and you also would get the results of the background check back very quick.

There wasn't anything I extremely disliked about it. The only thing that I can think of was you have a lot of options of different background checks that you can do and sometimes it's very confusing which one to select. I would say it'd be helpful if there was more narrowed down descriptions of the types of background checks.

It's very easy to use! If you're looking to speed up the background check process, this is something that I would recommend for your company.

The reporting leaves much to be desired. For instance there is no email address on reporting  - it makes reconciliation in the instance that you are doing batches a bear.

Being able to manage risk compliance with regards to various parts of the business through automated email blasts and an auto schedule is great. Definitely a time saver and makes us feel more protected risk wise.

I love that HireRight is integrated with our Taleo ATS.  It makes requesting and accessing reports very easy. 
 No extra logins to remember.  The turnaround time from HireRight has been great overall.  Reports come back fairly quickly.  And the few times that I've had an issue, I've been able to contact them and they were always able to resolve my issues quickly.

There's not really anything that I don't like about HireRight so far. Everything meets our needs.

**What do you like best about HireRight?**

I was able to get my forms in without going through the printing and scanning process. They outlined which documents I would need to have and made filling them out seamless and quicker than writing out. The review process has needed streamlining for a long time and making whatever documents possible to be completed online makes it easier for users to both keep track and complete new hire documentation.

**What do you dislike about HireRight?**

I have not received frequent updates on my applications review. It would be great to have an update every day or so to get a better idea of how the progress of my Hiring review is going.  It would also be very useful if we were able to complete the entire new hire process using online documentation, instead of the split that is currently being used. However, any documents that are available online certainly help the process.

**Recommendations to others considering HireRight:**

Make sure you are aware which external documents will also be necessary prior to submitting all forms.  This way you will more seamlessly be able to pass through the process.

**What problems is HireRight solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to keep certain digital documents in one place while making it easy to complete them. The process of filling out the extreme number of documents in the new hire process can sometimes be tedious and confusing. Any documents filled out and sent using the HireRight system greatly simplifies this process and helps keep you organized and on track to complete all of the necessary new hire documentation.

One click brings me to the dashboard where all the information I need is listed. And I can send a preliminary I-9 to folks who are set to start so they can start their I-9 before their first day on the job.

Sometimes the customer service takes 24 hours. This can hold up an I-9 being completed in a timely manner.

If you are searching for merely e-verify, HireRight has met all our needs, including notifications via email to update soon-to-be expiring forms of identification.

It is AZ law to use e-verify, but even if it wasn't, this would be an easy, inexpensive way to keep paperless I-9s.

I like the fact you an have several accounts under your main account. It helps with our diverse workforce. We are also able to have separate accounts for our regions in different countries.

In the beginning we had issues with background checks pending for longs periods of time when the BGC did not need to be pending. After 2 lengthy meeting with Senior Account Managers the issue was resolved 

**Recommendations to others considering HireRight:**

Customer service as the call center level is not as the same level as the employer support level. Which leaves our candidates confused. We had a lot of issues around around our education requirements in the beginning. It took months and lots of calls to get things sorted out.  We used Hireright for I9s, Background Checks, and our Drug test program.

We used the I9 and Background checks

HireRight has one of the largest, most comprehensive databases and the product is simple to use and the website is convenient. HireRight does a complete, thorough check on people. 

**What do you dislike about HireRight?**

However it does tend to take long to hear back and they will only verify what jobs are listed - and it must match the application submitted and being reviewed. Also, while HireRight will check every job listed on the background check, they will only verify dates worked on positions posted. So, if the candidate does not post a job and date range for the job from which he was fired, HireRight will not include it.

**Recommendations to others considering HireRight:**

Give HIreRight more time to strengthen certain weaknesses in their service and ask the right questions and do the due diligence before committing to using the service.

Everything online was very easy to use.

Infractions appeared that were not true for the individual.  False addresses.  Information not accurate.

Cost is reasonable for basic, but to go to 10 year criminal charges don't always appear.  Hire right rescanned the information, and only produced the same results which were not accurate.  They were pleasent to speak with on the phone, however the wait time was long.  We are using the service to confirm employees honesty on application.

The background check dashboard is easy to use and follow, not too cumbersome or busy where it takes you several minutes to find what you need or what you want to do.

HireRight is actively involved with legal proceedings about selling information and having it be used in an inaccurate way, this is concerning.  I cannot speak to this in great detail, but just heard of it from legal.

**Recommendations to others considering HireRight:**

HireRight can be a useful tool, but their turnaround time can be lengthy.  Also, with their ongoing and current legal issues, not sure where they are headed or how their reputation is or will hold up.

Pre-employment background checks and periodic background checks as needed depending on the role.  Criminal, education, and SSN verification.

They do all the work! No more having to obtain authorization paperwork from the candidate first. The live chat feature is also easy to use, but sometimes can take forever to get someone on the chat.

**What do you dislike about HireRight?**

The language barrier when being called for a VOE can be hard to understand. Sometimes it takes a long time, more than 10 minutes, for someone to help on live chat. 

**Recommendations to others considering HireRight:**

The implementation team is wonderful, they follow up and keep things moving along. HireRight also allows for billing by location which was something very important in our decision making.

Use it for background checks. We have not used it for reference checks.

That employees are emailed directions to complete the forms and I can track all of the process without having to chase down paperwork.

Length of time information is available for - sometimes you would like to look back at something over 90 days to see when transactions occurred, ie who completed what step when.

I think a more focused dashboard on the initial page after login would be helpful. We don't use this super often so navigation takes me a minute or two to remember.

We use this for background checks for new hires - we get great detailed information from HireRight in a very reasonable amount of time. I only had one background check take an unusual amount of time, but that was due to some issues with the individual. I'm glad they took their time and did a good job for the check.
