I like that there’s a lot of support available to people to figure out how to use Thrive.

It’s difficult to learn. The back end isn’t super user friendly.

Automation rules make it so that our small staff can focus more on member experience and less on the knitty gritty of our template style emails.

Downsides are that the backend is not intuitive and customization can be limited.

The community hub helps engage our members, assist in easier and central communication (one platform to 'whitelist') and organization between committees, posts, groups, topics etc.

**What do you like best about Higher Logic Thrive?**

It has amazing capabilities and when it is setup it does what we want. We like the capability to tailor both the communities and marketing to a multiple of different audiences within our membership and contact base. We find the data we can collect very useful and the training, tools and ongoing support extremely comprehensive.

**What do you dislike about Higher Logic Thrive?**

It does take some time and effort to set up, so you need to set aside the time to do this. However it is very worthwhile.

**What problems is Higher Logic Thrive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gives us much better views of our email effectiveness and helps us target our information to be much more useful. Communities allow us to provide good information to specific types of members and contacts. The investment in time to learn the system is worthwhile as you build subsequent communities. We feel we can provide much better information in a more effective and targeted way and have the data and reporting to monitor this.

**What do you like best about Higher Logic Thrive?**

We’ve been using Higher Logic Thrive at Raptor Technologies to bring our community of school safety software users together and it’s been a big value add. Our customers now have a dedicated space to start discussions, ask questions, and share ideas directly with our product team. Since launching in 2023, we’ve come a long way, and we’re excited to explore even more of the powerful features Thrive offers to maximize the value of our subscription.

What truly stands out, though, is the team behind the platform. Our dedicated contacts, Kimmie and Erin, know the product inside and out and consistently go above and beyond to support us. Whether it’s helping us grow membership, boost engagement, or brainstorm new strategies, their expertise and responsiveness make all the difference.

While we’ve encountered a few minor limitations along the way, the overall experience has been excellent. We highly recommend Higher Logic Thrive to anyone considering a community platform.

Some design and website limitations that restrict customization and layout flexibility.

No visibility into who likes or follows posts and blogs.

Limited options for automatically notifying our Product Team of new idea submissions.

The customer support is outstanding. Whenever we have questions or run into challenges, the support team is responsive, knowledgeable, and genuinely committed to resolving issues quickly.

**What do you dislike about Higher Logic Thrive?**

Some parts of the platform can feel clunky and not as intuitive as expected, especially when navigating between different functions. The biggest drawback is the lack of a standard mobile app, which feels like something that should be built in as a core feature. With more members engaging primarily through their phones, a dedicated app would make the platform much more user-friendly and accessible.

Thrive has enabled us to quickly foster meaningful engagement within our membership. Our members are now able to network with each other more effectively and benefit from having a trusted space to gather information.

Although this is a common challenge faced by most non-profits, I suspect that, like us, cost is always a concern. However, it remains necessary in order to effectively connect with our membership.

Member engagement was quite limited before we started using the Thrive platform. Since its implementation, we've noticed a significant change compared to our previous experience.
