"Hibob Empowers Employees with Easy Leave, Team Updates, and Smart Integrations"
4.5/5
What do you like best about HiBob HRIS?

Hibob puts the power in your hands as an employee, not only can you easily put in leave/vacation days, you can also easily edit or remove them. The platform has a homepage where colleagues can engage and get to know each other, we can post cute and quirky posts on our birthdays or anniversaries and the team can celebrate with us. We can keep track on the entire team cause we have a view of who's out and who's in, we can see brithdays and a whole lot more. Set up and onboarding took less than an hour and we have intergrated Hibob with Slack and Google calendar, we never miss important occasions because of this cool feature. This is a great investment as it has multiple features that employers and employees can use, I mean the possibilities are endless, especially with the AI feature under the help centre page Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HiBob HRIS?

I had a bit of trouble customizing my page and adding a profile picture but this was not for long as I reached out to the Help centre and I found an article that helped me troubleshoot and sort the issue out in a matter of minutes Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient, User-Friendly HRIS for Mid-Sized Teams"
4.5/5
What do you like best about HiBob HRIS?

I like the report features in HiBob HRIS because it makes life a bit easier to be able to just give it into the HRIS and get all of my figures back. I think what I like most about it is very self-explanatory, you can find what you want pretty easily, and you can get the job done quickly and efficiently. I think employees enjoy it because it's not overly complicated. I've had other HRISs where employees go in and just cannot see what they need to find, whereas I haven't had any issues with people saying that they weren't able to find where to put time off or where to update information. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HiBob HRIS?

I don't love the AI feature for reporting at the moment. Whenever I try to use it, I find it very inefficient and probably faster to run the report myself. It sometimes adds unnecessary fields, like passport information, and it can't look to the future. For instance, when trying to run a report for all leavers for the month of July on the 25th, I had already informed HiBob HRIS that someone was leaving on the 27th, but it couldn't include that future information in the report. "Efficient Automation and Great Community, But Lacks In-Person Support"
4/5
What do you like best about HiBob HRIS?

HiBob does exactly what it promises at a high standard. With limited team resources I am able to automate key processes to enable a smooth experience for the wider team, and managers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HiBob HRIS?

The only real downside is lack of in-person support. HiBob has an incredible community in which users can support each other but this does not always help me with my problems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"All-in-One, Smooth Across Devices, and Backed by Amazing Support"
4.5/5
What do you like best about HiBob HRIS?

Everything is in one place, which makes it easy and pleasant to use. It has made our employees’ lives easier, and mine as well. I also love that we can keep using our existing systems, and HiBob notifications show up there too, so people don’t forget to use HiBob. It runs smoothly across platforms and devices without any major hiccups. The pricing feels fair and competitive. I’ve received amazing help and support at every turn, and even though setting everything up took a bit of work, it’s been easy to get help whenever something goes wrong or isn’t working as I’d hoped. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HiBob HRIS?

It was a lot of work to get everything set up, it would help to have a person do it together with me via Teams/Zoom just to answer my questions or help come up with best solutions to begin with. It was also a bit hard to get everything working in accordance with my countries' legislation, so that was something I hoped someone had been more open about when demoing the product. "User-Friendly and Efficient, But More to Explore"
4/5
What do you like best about HiBob HRIS?

I find HiBob HRIS very easy to use, especially appreciating the interface and how I can see information. Our employees enjoy using it, and it has made tasks and reporting very easy and handy. I love the interface and user friendliness; it's easy to navigate and use, and it's helpful with reporting. The initial setup was fairly easy, and I didn't need help from anyone teaching me the platform since I could learn by exploring once I got admin access and then started doing the trainings myself on the HiBob Village. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HiBob HRIS?

I've been finding the task list settings and creating workflows a bit complicated because I don't fully understand it yet. Also, when I export reports as Excel, the headings are filled in red, which I don't like because it looks like something is wrong. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Automations made easy with Bob"
5/5
What do you like best about HiBob HRIS?

I find HiBob HRIS incredibly valuable because of its automation features, which save time and enhance efficiency significantly. I also appreciate the dashboards and reporting functionalities, as they provide detailed insights and help in better data analysis. The AI capabilities being added to HiBob HRIS are very exciting and promise to be extremely useful for analysis tasks and general overall streamlining of daily tasks. Another aspect I like is the comprehensive support I received during the setup of any new modules and any software support questions I have. Additionally, HiBob HRIS integrates seamlessly with tools like Google Calendar, Slack, and Workable, making it versatile and adaptable to our needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HiBob HRIS?

I wish HiBob HRIS had a rota function so that our retail team could use it for time off and rota planning. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Comprehensive HRIS with Intuitive Reporting"
4/5
What do you like best about HiBob HRIS?

I like HiBob HRIS for its ease of use and reporting features. It's great that I can download and filter data in a logical way. I also find the sandbox environment very useful to test out functionality before implementing, which helps ensure we don't break anything. We use these features to report for audits, track, and understand impacts to our population based on site. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HiBob HRIS?

There are no hard and fast rules about how certain positions/position management/profiles should be done. I wish it pushed you to complete these in a logical more natural way with guide me features and hover buttons. For example, if you want to enter a new hire, you should have to know the position ID, level, job outline etc first. It should force the inputting and onboarding to feel more natural and I think maybe these steps could be part of the Talent Management process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Highly Usable and Robust with Room for Improvement"
4.5/5
What do you like best about HiBob HRIS?

I really enjoy the reporting feature because it's really easy to use. I love the AI chat functionality; it’s pretty great and reduces me having to create tickets quite often. The overall ease of use of the system is something I appreciate, especially since it's easy to set up integrations. The formulas I can create in cells are really helpful. I feel like they are pretty good about sending product updates that are interesting and easy to understand. The implementation was very easy and very high touch, which we've really appreciated. It integrates with our ATS, which is helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HiBob HRIS?

I've experienced certain issues with the payroll hub that have been hard to resolve. I've had longstanding tickets that recently closed but didn't really have a real solution, though there are reasons explained behind the issues we face. It's more of an annoyance rather than something that adversely affects our data at this point. Task management in general has a lot to be improved, like how tasks are displayed and the inability to reassign tasks or change due dates, which limits the company-wide use. I can only use it in a very basic way for the company. Also, the kudos function could be improved; I've suggested posting kudos on someone's profile (on top of the dashboard) in a separate tab for better visibility and to create a more social media-like experience. "Great UI and integrations, but the API and reporting need major improvements"
3.5/5
What do you like best about HiBob HRIS?

The interface is genuinely one of the best I've used in an HRIS. It looks modern and polished, and day-to-day navigation is intuitive enough that most employees can find what they need without much hand-holding (there are a few quirks, but I'll get to those elsewhere).

Beyond looks, the feature set is solid. It covers the core HRIS needs well and extends into talent management, learning, and payroll, so you're not constantly bolting on third-party tools to fill gaps.

Integrations are another strong point. HiBob is one of the better-supported systems in this category, so it plays well with the rest of our tech stack rather than becoming an island. That connectivity saves a lot of manual work and keeps data consistent across tools.

On the admin side, customizing core fields is fairly straightforward, which makes it easy to shape the system around how we actually work rather than the other way around. The permission system also deserves a mention: it's clear and easy to reason about, so we're confident that people only see what they're supposed to. We haven't run into any accidental overexposure of sensitive data, which is a big deal for an HR system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HiBob HRIS?

The biggest pain point is the API. It feels like an afterthought rather than something built for an API-first world. The design is awkward, and a number of features and operations simply aren't supported. This bit us during our data migration: several things had to be fixed manually through the UI because there was no way to handle them via the API at all, which their support team confirmed. For a modern HR platform, this is disappointing and a real constraint if you're planning any serious automation or integration work beyond the prebuilt connectors.

The reporting and analytics is the other major weak spot. It's very limited: the filters and operators are basic, and we've been unable to recreate some of the reports we had in BambooHR. If you rely on nuanced or custom reporting, this is worth scrutinizing closely before committing.

The sandbox is another gap. It's designed for HR users to test features and configuration changes, but it doesn't meet the needs of an IT team that requires a stable sandbox for user lifecycle testing with an identity provider (IDP). Despite multiple attempts to find a workable solution with HiBob, this hasn't been addressed. Our previous system (BambooHR) offered a production-grade instance at a low, fixed cost; HiBob has declined to provide anything comparable, which stung given that we felt misled about what the sandbox could actually do.

It's also worth flagging that HiBob didn't offer a trial or POC, and their documentation is only accessible to existing product users. That meant all of our feature and requirements validation had to happen over demo calls. Predictably, this led to a few surprises where things didn't work as anticipated or had limitations we hadn't expected, and some early frustration that a proper POC or access to the docs would have avoided.

Another surprising gap is the lack of any built-in feature for manager's notes or HR notes. Their recommended workaround is to create custom fields, but that doesn't really work for this use case: you can't properly restrict who sees the notes. For example, a manager's notes shouldn't automatically carry over to an employee's next manager, and there's no clean way to enforce that with custom fields.

Finally, while the UI is generally easy to navigate, there are occasional rough edges. Every so often something that ought to be obvious to find isn't, and it ends up generating a support ticket. It's not a dealbreaker, but it does chip away at the otherwise smooth experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The Ferrari of HR Systems, But Setup Takes Time"
5/5
What do you like best about HiBob HRIS?

I like HiBob HRIS because it's very user-friendly, modern, and thoroughly solid. I appreciate the totality of HiBob, as it provides everything we need in one system. I semi-jokingly call it the 'Ferrari of HR systems.' The system is valuable because it's designed not just for HR but also engages employees, making it easy to understand where to go and what to do. This helps save administrative time, allowing us to focus on what really matters, such as the valuable conversations and feedback between managers and employees. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HiBob HRIS?

I find the time and attendance module very light and not suitable for our needs, so we don't use it. It's very basic and doesn't cover the complexity needed for project hours, flexitime bank vs. overtime bank, and so on. Additionally, not a dislike - but a note: setting up HiBob HRIS with our custom needs was quite time-consuming and complex. It requires skills, time, and focus to get it well done.
