Right now, I’m mostly just glad this software exists at all, because it suggests that something better than Heygen is coming eventually. That said, I’m not excited about Heygen whatsoever. The price is too high for the level of quality, the tech just isn’t quite there yet, and I don’t like the way they intentionally misword things to pull more money out of people. I've been experimenting with HeyGen to create training videos for our team, and I have to say I'm extremely impressed.

As a non-technical guy, I was able to create my very first video in about 10 minutes. The platform is incredibly intuitive, and I felt like I was trained on the basics almost immediately just by using it.

My process was simple: I created a script using another AI platform, copied and pasted it into HeyGen, and within minutes HeyGen had automatically matched relevant video content to my script. In less than 30 minutes, I had a professional-quality training video that was ready to use.

In my case, I uploaded a photo of a beloved member of our company and used that image to deliver the training. For companies like ours that are striving to become Best-in-Class, quality training is essential. Historically, creating professional training videos has been expensive, time-consuming, and difficult to maintain. HeyGen changes that equation completely.

What I like best about HeyGen is how easy it makes video creation. I wouldn't be able to list them at the moment as I am focused on learning the tools. It may be that the price is a boundary to be reviewed because for scalable businesses, the linear evolution of cost can be a prohibitive barrier. The AI is advanced, I never needed support, but I believe there are service options suitable for global demands. I love how accurate and nice lipsync is in Avatar V by HeyGen. Not just that, custom motion using a prompt within the same credits makes it a cherry on top. Just 1 feature saves ton of my time and I do not have to record my videos. I will only upload the voiceover, and I get a perfect face video of mine for my youtube channel. Awesome. I love it. It is an excellent tool for creating realistic avatars of yourself or public avatars. It is easy to create an avatar from a photo or a simple 3 lines of script. It integrates well into all of our projects.

There’s no lip-sync preview before generating, so you only find out something is off after you’ve already spent the credits. This really needs fixing, HeyGen. 🖤

The biggest gap for me right now is that captions should be editable after generation. They shouldn’t be locked, and I shouldn’t have to regenerate and pay again just to correct them.

As a content marketer, I use HeyGen mainly to translate video content from Russian into English, and it has become a very valuable part of my workflow.

HeyGen has been central to a fully automated AI avatar content channels. The channel is @faustina.speaks on Youtube shorts, Instagram & Facebook reels. All the AI avatar videos were programmatically created using HeyGen API which was called from n8n automation platform. The API service has been very reliable so far. I like the ease of use.

Then the support team has been awesome. The are very very responsive and quick to answer. The the API documentation is fine.
