The speech-to-video option. As far as I know, it’s currently the only app on the market right now that lets you upload your own audio and create a stable AI avatar with it. That’s the only feature I use, because it’s the only feature I need. Any B-roll material is generated by other AIs.

Onboarding was a bit of a chore, since it didn't let me test that function fully. so I had to choose a voice from the menu, that was annoying. the only way for me to test it, was to buy a month of subscription - thank god it worked out for me, because i really have no extra money for stunts like that. performance is good, no complaints there. I'd maybe like to have other options in terms of format, not just 9:16 and 16:9. also, the ai-avatar is still moving a bit stiffly, the instructions for movements nearly never work out. but the upload for the audio and the transcriptions always work out just fine, so there's a good balance of give and take Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I dislike that my movement instructions are always ignored; at this point, I’ve basically given up on them. Also, the look of the teeth—and the mouth in general—still feels quite unnatural, and noticeably so. If you start with a friendly-looking avatar picture, the moving avatar will probably end up looking clownish. If you start with a more severe look, the avatar becomes very stern very quickly. Right now, I’m mostly just glad this software exists at all, because it suggests that something better than Heygen is coming eventually. That said, I’m not excited about Heygen whatsoever. The price is too high for the level of quality, the tech just isn’t quite there yet, and I don’t like the way they intentionally misword things to pull more money out of people. I've been experimenting with HeyGen to create training videos for our team, and I have to say I'm extremely impressed.

As a non-technical guy, I was able to create my very first video in about 10 minutes. The platform is incredibly intuitive, and I felt like I was trained on the basics almost immediately just by using it.

My process was simple: I created a script using another AI platform, copied and pasted it into HeyGen, and within minutes HeyGen had automatically matched relevant video content to my script. In less than 30 minutes, I had a professional-quality training video that was ready to use.

In my case, I uploaded a photo of a beloved member of our company and used that image to deliver the training. You can even record someone reading a script, and HeyGen can use that person's voice to create future content. The possibilities for personalized training are incredible.

For companies like ours that are striving to become Best-in-Class, quality training is essential. Historically, creating professional training videos has been expensive, time-consuming, and difficult to maintain. HeyGen changes that equation completely.

What I like best about HeyGen is how easy it makes video creation. I wouldn't be able to list them at the moment as I am focused on learning the tools. It may be that the price is a boundary to be reviewed because for scalable businesses, the linear evolution of cost can be a prohibitive barrier. The AI is advanced, I never needed support, but I believe there are service options suitable for global demands. I love how accurate and nice lipsync is in Avatar V by HeyGen. Not just that, custom motion using a prompt within the same credits makes it a cherry on top. Just 1 feature saves ton of my time and I do not have to record my videos. I will only upload the voiceover, and I get a perfect face video of mine for my youtube channel. Awesome. I love it. It is an excellent tool for creating realistic avatars of yourself or public avatars. It is easy to create an avatar from a photo or a simple 3 lines of script. It integrates well into all of our projects.

There’s no lip-sync preview before generating, so you only find out something is off after you’ve already spent the credits. This really needs fixing, HeyGen. 🖤

The biggest gap for me right now is that captions should be editable after generation. They shouldn’t be locked, and I shouldn’t have to regenerate and pay again just to correct them.

It should be simple: open, edit, save.

Definitely, I liked that it is very easy to use. I also appreciate how well it translates, as the sentences in English have a similar length to the sentences in Spanish, and the dubbing and lip sync are impeccable. Sometimes the total video has a slight difference in length, but after adjusting the music a bit, it looks spectacular. The quality of the voices is another aspect I really like, they are very similar to the original voices. Additionally, the initial setup of HeyGen was very easy.
