Through Helpr's app, working parents find and manage trusted backup childcare services, while employers track and subsidize a set number of those backup caregiving hours per year. Backup care fills unforeseen childcare gaps - when kids are sick and daycare can't take them, or during school holidays when both parents need to be at work. Backup care covers families outside of a primary care system - when nannies are unavailable, school is closed, or a last-minute need. During the COVID-19 crisis, backup care has been essential to parents when daycare centers close and in providing assistance to children with remote schooling. Helpr has had success incentivizing some of the largest companies in the country to step up and support their parent employees, while ensuring Flexible Savings Account dollars are maximized and spent on backup care needs. Their responsiveness, professionalism, and being willing to adapt to each event's needs and each family's needs is truly impressive. They are consistent with their SLA and communicate quickly if there are any issues. **What do you dislike about Helpr Family Care Platform?** As an employer, I do wish there was an admin portal that I could use to view our utilization in real-time. My account manager is GREAT though and gets me the information I need very quickly. Another piece of feedback that we have received is that employees wish there was a reimbursement option for care. This isn't a deterrent though as many, when they understand the system, like that they don't have to pay first and then wait for reimbursement. **What problems is Helpr Family Care Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?** Helpr assists are employees in finding reliable, quality back up care if they lose access to their primary care provider. Additionally, we use their core care services to help employees find long, short, and temporary care for their children, adults, elders, and even themselves. ### 4. We have seen a big increase in utilization over time. Helpr is more than just backup care. They provided customized promotions to support our company initiatives. In terms of coverage, there is a wide variety of services to choose from that can be used for dependents of all ages. Our client support manager is great; she is proactive and responsive, takes our concerns and suggestions seriously and quickly comes up with solutions. **What do you dislike about Helpr Family Care Platform?** Our employees are located all over the country. In some areas, the number of in-network caregivers is less than in others. They are the areas Helpr would identify and focus on staffing. Integration was a concern in the beginning since it was not a straightforward eligibility file, but once the files were set up, no ongoing work was needed. **What problems is Helpr Family Care Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?** One of the reasons that employees cannot return to work after maternity leave is childcare need. With Helpr, we are able to address the issues for them. We have seen employees more engaging at work because of this benefit. ### 5. It has also assisted employees post surgery to help with childcare when they are unable to do so. The ability to find someone to assist with driving to appointments has also been a win. **What do you dislike about Helpr Family Care Platform?** There tends to be limited availability in some of our employee populations such as San Antonio, TX and Spokane, WA. **What problems is Helpr Family Care Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?** Back-up childcare, driving dependents to doctor's appointments, helping parents who do not have a lot of family in the area. ### 6. Additionally, it's hard to assist employees since I don't use the app myself, but the Helpr team is hands-on and responsive. **What problems is Helpr Family Care Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?** The benefit helps us lower the burden and cost of child care for our team members around the country.
