What do you like best about Helix Core?

Perforce and Helix are great solutions for version control. Compared to Git, there is much better control over binary assets, which is extremely important for certain projects. Perforce is heavily used at other companies working on similar products, and many users are more comfortable with these products. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Helix Core?

Not open source and requires a little more legwork to get set up. Is overkill for small, single person projects or strictly code-based projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Helix Core?

I am an independent developer who uses Preforce to back up data to a local external storage. The program is great and allowed me to recover my data when I did something wrong by accident and restore to a previous storage I had saved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Helix Core?

Tools like Helix Versioning Engine are a must for any SW company. The amount of downtime a loss of data can cause is unacceptable and retaining data against corruption or versioning should be your #1 choice. If I had a choice between no source control and the source control, I'd always pick the "the". Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Helix Core?

3rd party tool integration could be better but not everyone can play nice. 3rd party client interfacing for mixing with competitor software would be a bonus for already established systems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
