Domino is the most solid platform that we've ever used. It has built-in security features that enable us to maintain our ISO27001 compliance with ease. Domino pretty much does everything for our enterprise. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Not many people are familiar with Domino - mostly because IBM allowed it to languish for a decade. HCL has reinvigorated things, so we're looking forward to seeing what's next. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Inbuilt layered security that is fully integrated with the Domino Directory, along with many security enhancements added to version 14.
Installation of HCL Domino, after intial planning, is simple and fast. Migrating an existing HCL Domino deployment from one cloud provider to another is also a breeze. It only requires one to create a zip file of the Domino Data directory in the old VPS, copy and unzip it in the new VPS.
HCL Domino Leap low-code development can be used to develop enterprise-grade applications that incorporate the security of Domino platform.

Mail, applications, modern interfaces, developer friendly, browser, Notes clients, backwards compatable, it does everything in a single or multiple servers. Short development cycles. Supports all modern protocols. Runs on Linux servers and Window (along with various IBM mid range servers . The adapability of the server is fantastic. It can integrate with multiple platforms. It is the swiss amry knife of platforms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Only that the media have hated on it for decades when they appear to have no idea about how it works and what is does. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The best in class feature which I like the most is the flexibility and simplicity of the Domino Server which makes it stand out from its competitors. It is actually more flexible when it comes to features, we can easily configure the system as per our needs as per as the other people requirements. Additionally many new integration features are comming after every update. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The implementation and customer support of the system can be improved. The connectivity implementation can be advanced so that it must not be in a situation of a deadlock and lag. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Backwards compatibility, fast development, security, all-in-one application server.
Developers with different skill levels can easiily use and implement the software.
Good support, possibilities of integration with different systems via a variety of standards.

The fact many (younger) people don't know Domino and what it can do for you.
HCL should really put more effort in making Domino available to young developers.
Free licenses for students for example. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It works well and It gives you more "freedom" to set up than Google or Office 365 or Exchange.
It's convenient to use for "security through obscurity" policies. A small % of companies use more Domino, so nobody develop virus for that platform Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

So much market share loss over IBM's tenure with product make it feel like a slippery slope to hope the product will endure in a Microsoft dominated space.... Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Highly secure and scalable. We can sacle it anytime as per application requirements. It is highly secure so that easy to protect highly sensitive data. It provides support for authentication and encryption. It also supports replication because of which we can improve availability of application. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Legacy solution because of which it little difficult to integrate with other modern solutions. also it is difficult to migrate.
Sometimes application may face performance issue if it is not configured properly. Lot of things to learn before using it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
