Caveat: We are heavily multi-tasking the launch and troubleshooting of a new multi-storefront website.

I’ve been using Hawk since early 2022, its features and performance have been great. The engine delivers relevant and customizable results to our visitors. We also have significant control over the results using the variety of tools included. The faceted navigation, synonyms, boost/bury, pinning, & keyword replacement tools have been used to a great extent by our site. There are many variations in our product data and the application of the rules were straightforward and worked well once our initial tuning was completed.

The machine learning has also been a big help in continuously improving our search results. It was simple to set up our preferences and it does all the work from there. This in addition to occasional reviews of our reports has made our continuous improvement of results simple.

The reports are another great insight into how our customers are interacting with our site. These collect a significant amount of useful data and allows us to identify & resolve shortcomings effectively.

Overall, I would recommend Hawksearch to anyone who wants to provide a great search experience to site visitors. It is a powerful and flexible site search engine that has been able to handle almost all of our needs. There were a few bugs that came about after we transitioned to their new servers. However, the support team has done a good job in helping identifying and resolving these releativly quickly. Although, I'd like to mention that these bugs had minimally impact our customers.

Secondly, I do wish there was an easier way to test newly added rules without requiring re-indexing. This slows down the testing phase of newly applied rules. This can be a bit annoying if you just have a few minor adjustments to make and want to test them quickly/make any additional adjustments to the rules. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
