As per my opinion, I don't find any negative point on HackerEarth. That's why I used the word "Best" for it.

What I like & find best, is that Hackererth provides the understanding of Concepts, with elaborated practice questions & provides you a platform, to implement all of that, through Competitions & also lets us know, where we stand, how much we have covered & how much is left.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yash A. | Student, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2019

**What do you like best about HackerEarth for Developers?**

Of course, the best thing is learning but if we talk about something specific it is the code arena and if you have skills you can apply for jobs right there in the best companies. Plus you compete with people around the world and this gives you a chance to understand where you stand. I did apply to many hackathons using hacker earth. Almost every hackathon is listed on hackerearth' s website, plus you can apply very easily, it also provides you with the selection process.

**What do you dislike about HackerEarth for Developers?**

Though there isn't anything that I dislike, sometimes just the leaderboard issues are there.

**Recommendations to others considering HackerEarth for Developers:**

Try solving at least one challenge a day, also participate in the contest even if you are not able to do it. Also always try to optimize the solution.

**What problems is HackerEarth for Developers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kumar A. | SDE1, Internet, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 24, 2019

**What do you like best about HackerEarth for Developers?**

There are many contests, both for competitive programmers as well as developers always going on, which help you grow as a programmer. Hackathons are also conducted frequently, and one can learn teamwork by participating in them. Also, the UI is very user friendly and easy to understand.

**What do you dislike about HackerEarth for Developers?**

For most of the programming questions, proper editorial is not present. Mostly, there is only solution code from the problem setter which isn't at all helpful, since if you just need the solution code, you can simply look at successful submissions.

**What problems is HackerEarth for Developers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using hackerearth, I am trying to understand and learn the different types of data structures and algorithms that are used commonly in competitive programming. The blog posts and articles for this purpose are very well written and the questions really make you think. I have definitely improved as a programmer due to this.

  ### 8. HackerEarth - Platform to hack your career

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** PRANJAL A. | Associate Technology Intern, Computer Software, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 22, 2019

**What do you like best about HackerEarth for Developers?**

I like that HackerEarth has a built-in IDE on the same page as each contest question. I also like that you not only have access to the testcases after the end of each contest, but you can also create your own testcases during the competition, and HackerEarth provides the answers to those made-up testcases.

**What do you dislike about HackerEarth for Developers?**

I don't like that for every question, I have to re-select my language every time. Other contest sites automatically set the language on the IDE for the last language selected so that you need to select a language only on the first problem and whenever you switch languages. HackerEarth always has the default language as C, which is fine if you often code in C, but is inconvenient for everyone else.

**What problems is HackerEarth for Developers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

HackerEarth has helped me to practice coding algorithms, which helps me be a better coder.

**What do you like best about HackerEarth for Developers?**

When I started coding on hackerearth, the problems were not well categorized, but with time it has improved a lot and now the way the practice problems have been divided into suitable sections, it is very helpful and organized. Also the monthly contests are very good. With so many good coders competing with you is a boon . The problems are well set and cover all the domains which are required to be in a long contest.I also love the monthly easy challenge as they are hard to solve.

**What do you dislike about HackerEarth for Developers?**

Some problems don't have good editorials. Please ask the authors to post solutions which don't make use of macros. Sometimes it becomes very confusing to read through the code.
The problem of wrong categorization still persists with some problems. Some problems which are marked easy are very difficult to solve at times. The easy tag gives a wrong notion to beginners and sometimes they may lose confidence.

**Recommendations to others considering HackerEarth for Developers:**

If you are a beginner completely devote yourself to this platform for practicing. You should be doing well after practicing implementation and maths on the platform. After that you may get into competitions like circuits and hour storm.

**What problems is HackerEarth for Developers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have solved many problems on Mathematics and Algorithms on hackerearth. Lately, I attempt only circuits. The platform has helped me a lot in learning programming and the question sets are good enough to crack coding rounds of very good companies. The recruiter tab is also good and its easy to manage contests.

HackerEarth, as the name suggests, there's gotta something interesting for the developers and geeks, and guess what yes, it turns out to be the best and one of the ultimate stop for the Intermediate and Experienced Developers, yet the Beginners aren't that far.
From Coding Tutorials to Recruitments, backed by a lot of super Hackathons, Competitive Programming Materials, all in a well organized and disciplined order it is the complete 10/10 package

**What do you dislike about HackerEarth for Developers?**

For this part, there's nothing special or to be urgently noted, it has got everything covered and has an edge over everything that makes it a really vital and supportive platform.

**Recommendations to others considering HackerEarth for Developers:**

So if you have got into the field of Programming, HackerEarth is ought to be your Bulls Eye. As mentioned it's the perfect and a complete package with everything you need, there are a lot of resources available here, just go with the flow on HackerEarth, your destination will be in front of you. Good Luck.

**What problems is HackerEarth for Developers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

What not. Everything a programmer needs during his journey, from beginning to end (this journey never ends, but yet), from testing my coding skills to going through the Hackathons, it has covered every single aspect and stuffs that's required by a developer, and almost all of them have tremendously impacted my journey in a superb manner.

  ### 29. How HackerEarth has helped me to grow as a coder.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 24, 2019

**What do you like best about HackerEarth for Developers?**

The best thing that struck me was their competition called "CodeArena" where we get to interact live with the coders via chat and have live coding battles with them. They also have ongoing Recruitment challenges as well as monthly coding challenges. This gives us a platform where we not only have a great opportunity to apply for jobs, but also can practice coding.Their monthly challenges have rating system and this helps us to strive for the best.

**What do you dislike about HackerEarth for Developers?**

In CodeArena the opponents are chosen at random. But it would be great if a feature is included to fight against a friend of mine that I have chosen to fight against and hence I can send him/her a fight request.

**Recommendations to others considering HackerEarth for Developers:**

Participate in their monthly coding challenges and CodeArena. Their practice tracks are also great.

**What problems is HackerEarth for Developers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am currently pursuing their "Practice Tracks" and learning new algorithms and Data Structures.Their Data Structures track have different levels starting from the basics ( like Arrays,Stacks,Queue,Linked List),Advanced Data Structures(like Trie, Segment Tree,Suffix Arrays,Suffix Trees) and Disjoint Data Structures. These practice tracks are great. They all have detailed explanation of all algorithms and an array of different questions of different difficulty level to practice my algorithm skills. I have participated in their monthly challenges as well , like monthly "Circuit" and "Easy" challenges and all these have helped to hone my algorithm skills and helped me grow as a coder.I have also participated in their hiring challenges and they have a balanced set of questions that screen coders solely on their problem solving criteria.

  ### 31. Hackerearth One of the best platform to learn and to get hired

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Program Development | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2019

**What do you like best about HackerEarth for Developers?**

The best thing which i like about Hackeraerth is its topicwise distribution of practice questions. As i am a computer science student and need to solve problems on various topics . On hackerearth only i get them all arranged with a lot of filters and sorting facility like easy, medium hard and all.
On hackerearth I can also see what type of questions are asked in Hiring contests of big companies like amazon and i can easily prepare for it.

**What do you dislike about HackerEarth for Developers?**

I dislike the Ranking system of Monthly circuits. On Long challenges the one who solves first must not be considered at top as we are college students andas soon as i come from college and see questions its already too late. So i would love if all those who has equal points must be given same rank.
I also dislike the editorials of questions. Sometime when i am unable to solve any problem and i check for editorials . In some of the questions editorials are very nicely written while in some of the questions its written like none beginner can understand it. I want you guys to keep more editorialist and arrange the editorials in proper manner.

**What problems is HackerEarth for Developers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used to fear from the programing questions earlier and now i want more questions everyday. Its all because of hackerearth only . As i solve questions topic wise so its making my Data structure, algo and maths basics very strong and I realise its benefits when i give hiring contests and solve at least one problem everytime.

  ### 32. Best Competitive Programming Platform for beginners as well as advanced programmers.

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2019

**What do you like best about HackerEarth for Developers?**

The things that I loved about hackerearth include-
1.It is very friendly to the beginners. There are ample of Tutorials and practice problems on each topic. This helps greatly to boost your confidence when you are just introduced to Competitive programming.
2.The 30 Day Code Monk programme is Awesome. That programme helped me to set my goals and a deadline to complete them and hence get better at C.P. everyday.
3.The UI is very crisp. And Hackerearth's Code Editor /IDE that is present with every problem is one of the best online IDEs I have ever come across.
4.This site has a endless list of hackathons where people can hone their development skills.

**What do you dislike about HackerEarth for Developers?**

I won't say dislike but there are a few things that can be improved-
1.Stop people from accessing the same account from different devices at a time.
2.Conduct competitive programming competitions organised by hackerearth more often.

**What problems is HackerEarth for Developers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I started my competitive programming journey with hackerearth and it has been a great experience. The code monk program was really very helpful and then I moved to the problem section where the categorization of the problems and the tutorials proved to make it a lot easier to focus on building the logic and going for further optimisation.

**What do you dislike about HackerEarth for Developers?**

Actually we know that every thing has ups and downs but in my personal opinion hacker earth dont have such things, I actually like everything about it. Maybe a better UI should do. Like UI/UX is very important when it comes to developer point of view, so me being a dev, I feel it is lacking in that.

**What do you like best about HackerEarth for Developers?**

It was 2nd yr of my B.Tech when I started to learn programming language but due to less number of tutorials available on the Internet I was unable to learn new concepts and a basic building block to start competitive programming. When I saw the Section-wise tutorial on Hackerearth, I was very happy bcoz it helped me a lot to learn basics and basic problems to solve as well.

**What do you dislike about HackerEarth for Developers?**

There are lots of ambiguity in problem statements, which is very bad. And the ranking in the monthly challenge is based on first come first serve.
