"Gusto Makes Payroll and HR Simple, Efficient, and Easy to Navigate"
5/5
What do you like best about Gusto?

Whenever I log in it is easy to navigate and overall an amazing app to be using. Seeing my paycheck to taking time off is overall amazing work.I've had a great experience using the Gusto app. The platform is user-friendly, intuitive, and makes managing payroll and employee information simple and efficient. I especially appreciate how easy it is to access pay stubs, tax documents, and benefits information all in one place.

The app is well-designed and easy to navigate, even for users who aren't very tech-savvy. Notifications are timely, and payroll processing is smooth and reliable. Customer support has also been helpful whenever I've had questions.

Overall, Gusto is an excellent tool for both employees and employers. It saves time, reduces paperwork, and makes payroll management much more convenient. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a dependable payroll and HR solution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

While Gusto is generally easy to use, there are a few areas that could be improved. The mobile app doesn't offer all the features available on the desktop version, which can be limiting when managing certain tasks on the go. Occasionally, customer support response times can be slower during busy periods. Additionally, some advanced payroll and HR features may require higher-tier plans, which can increase costs for smaller businesses. Despite these drawbacks, Gusto remains a reliable and user-friendly platform overall. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy Setup, User-Friendly Features, and Outstanding Customer Service"
5/5
What do you like best about Gusto?

It was easy to set up. All of the features are user friendly. The price compared to other payroll software was much cheaper. Customer service is outstanding. Every representative has been attentive and has helped me when I've needed it. They have also called just to follow up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

I had issues with employees getting their personal accounts set up. They had to use the forgot password method to create a login. There should be a better way for employees to create a login. Also, the pricing for time tracking is good as longs as it's for employees that need tracked. Salaried employees don't need to be time tracked, yet Gusto requires that all employees be included in the monthly charge. I don't think that's fair. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Clear, User-Friendly Payroll Dashboard with Strong Performance Reviews"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Gusto?

The dashboard makes it clear and straightforward for me to run payroll each cycle, and the grid where I enter information is genuinely user-friendly. I also really appreciate the performance review capabilities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

I’d really like to see the Reporting feature improved. I find it very difficult to navigate, and honestly, I get frustrated when I try to run a specific report and don’t get the filtered results I’m expecting—every time. It makes it hard for me to rely on the reports and make informed decisions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy Setup and Simple Access to Paystubs and Tax Info"
5/5
What do you like best about Gusto?

It was very easy to set up, and I can quickly view my paystubs and access my tax information. It’s also been much easier to manage as my work status has shifted across three roles so far—contractor, employee, and then contractor again. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

I haven’t found any downsides to using Gusto so far. The interface is straightforward and easy to navigate, and whenever I need to provide any missing information, my employer emails me a link that takes me right to what I need to complete. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Gusto Review"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Gusto?

I like that we have our own personal support person. We've had lots of questions and I think having one dedicated person helps to make sure our questions are handled in a decent timeframe and there isn't transferring to different departments involved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

I dislike the bring your broker program. It doesn't make sense to only allow your broker to make changes to our payroll when it comes to benefits.

I also dislike how long it takes to get assistance. We had a major issue where our employees didn't get paid because of the length of time to get assistance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Still and absolute 10/10 for payroll and banking features!"
5/5
What do you like best about Gusto?

Review Update 6/9/26 - Gusto just keeps getting better. The system is incredibly reliable for tracking my hours, and my direct deposit consistently hits a day early, this feature alone has blessed me in so many ways. Their partnership with Clair for small interest-free advances between paydays is an awesome, helpful feature. The interface is beautiful and always very easy to navigate! Prior to my current place of employment, I hadn't heard of Gusto yet, but I am just very grateful that my employer uses Gusto for their payroll needs. Since being introduced to Gusto and all of the services offered, I have decided to keep all of my banking needs with them. Gusto customer service support is quick to respond and in the event a call is needed, the reason for calling is resolved immediately, never long hold times. The software is safe and secure, I could go on and on, I honestly can't say enough great things about Gusto! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

I've been using Gusto for about 1 year now, and continue to like it more and more, I haven't found one thing that I'm unhappy with so far! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Gusto Payroll App: Easy Navigation with Handy Pay Advances, Paycheck Estimates & Time Tracking"
5/5
What do you like best about Gusto?

I love the Gusto Payroll App. I like how easy it is to navigate—everything I need is in one place, which makes managing my information simple and convenient.

A few features really stand out to me: the paycheck advance option, the expected paycheck amount feature, and the time tracking. Being able to view an estimate of my upcoming paycheck helps me plan ahead financially, and the pay advance feature comes in handy when unexpected expenses pop up. The time tracking is also straightforward and ties in smoothly with payroll, so it’s easy to log and keep track of my hours.

Overall, Gusto offers a user-friendly experience along with practical tools that make payroll, time tracking, and staying on top of my earnings much easier. I’d recommend it to anyone who wants an all-in-one payroll and workforce management app. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

"Exceptionally User-Friendly HR/Payroll With Flexible Payroll Splits"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Gusto?

Gusto is by far the most user-friendly HR/Payroll platform I have ever used. I love the fact that I am able to split my payroll to multiple accounts, including the Gusto bank/debit account. Additionally, I like the payroll advance option it gives you to help you out between pay periods but do wish it allowed for more of an advance at first - I was limited to just $50 to help until my first paycheck, which unfortunately was 3 full weeks and it would have been exceedingly more helpful if I could have advanced at least $100. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

As mentioned in the previous screen (what I like about Gusto), my biggest dislike would be the payroll advance option. Starting out with my current company, I was only able to advance $50 but my first paycheck was 3 full weeks out and it would have been exceedingly more helpful if I could have advanced at least $100 or more to help tie me over. "Friendly, Efficient Support and an Intuitive Platform for HR Compliance"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Gusto?

The support is always friendly and efficient! The platform is intuitive and easy to navigate. Gusto also helps small businesses stay in HR compliance without outsourcing HR. Pricing is reasonable, but it could be better for nonprofit organizations! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

So far, I’ve been pleased with Gusto overall. What I don’t like is the pricing model that charges per staff member and/or for any additional contractor added to the platform. As you add people, the cost keeps going up, and as a nonprofit organization, that’s difficult to sustain in the long term. I’d love for all of my external vendors and contractors to track their time through the platform, but paying an additional $16 per person isn’t worth it for us right now.
