**What do you like best about Gusto?**

I like that I can use it to clock in and out from work, and I can see how much my pay stubs were. Probably the best thing is I can optimize my paychecks and decide how much they're taking in taxes from each check. It does my payroll process, and the initial setup was easy.

**What do you dislike about Gusto?**

I don't like Gusto. Clocky giving out. I was using the spending account, but I hate the spending account. The spending account *****. The fact that, like, I can't enter my bank account information and then view it to make sure it's correct, *****. It just does my payroll process thing. That's the only thing that it solves for me. I'm not. Two.

**What problems is Gusto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It just does my payroll process, that's the only thing it solves for me. I like that I can clock in and out from work and see my pay stubs. Probably the best thing is I can optimize my paychecks and decide how much they take in taxes from each check.

**What do you like best about Gusto?**

Ease of use the top thing I like best but a close second is Gusto customer service and support. Payroll taxes especially are not my forte and I have all the trust in the world that Gusto will do them correctly and on time.  They are ALWAYS very professional, fast and knowledgeable.  I have said many times, Gusto is my favorite company and software to deal with.

**What do you dislike about Gusto?**

I would say the only downside is the slightly higher price but the service rendered is completely worth it.

**What problems is Gusto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They tell me exactly what I need to do payroll correctly and even walk me through any tasks I may not be familiar with how to complete.  If I have further questions, their support is very very helpful and fast.

**What do you like best about Gusto?**

The federal and state tax calculation engine that is automated calculates employee deductions with absolute precision. After entering hourly tracking logs from the built-in time clocks, payroll runs are completed in seconds. Self service onboarding portal gives new employees the ability to upload tax documents on their own prior to their official start date.

**What do you dislike about Gusto?**

When the contractor payment processing module is used, the direct deposit to the contractor is significantly delayed from the normal full time employee payment process. Having to allocate payroll into several regional tax jurisdictions needlessly puts the strain on customer care agents. The general ledger export feature is not very helpful in reporting arrays to external enterprise accounting software platforms.

**What problems is Gusto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used to have to manually go through all the hours every month for our distributed workforce management team to make the multi state unemployment tax contributions. This platform can deal with local compliance legislations immediately at every biweekly payment interval. We eliminated costs of accounting overhead and also stayed clear of fines from regional authorities for not abiding by the rules.

**What do you like best about Gusto?**

I love that both of my employers use Gusto. It lets me manage all of my payroll tasks in one app that’s very easy to use. I can enter my hours quickly, and Gusto also reminds me how much time I have left to make any changes.

**What do you dislike about Gusto?**

I don’t really have a downside to mention. Gusto is very easy to log in and out of on different devices, which makes this task simple and hassle-free.

**What problems is Gusto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Recently, my employer didn’t pay me the correct amount. I was able to go into the Expenses section of the app and enter the correct amount, and we were able to rectify the problem very easily.

**What do you like best about Gusto?**

I really like how easy it is to navigate all the features.
- You can see your paychecks.
- You can see an estimate of when your paycheck will arrive.
- You can see all the people who work in your company and how they are related to you.
- You can track all these metrics around benefits and stuff like that.
It's really good to use.

**What do you dislike about Gusto?**

There's not much I don't like. The UI seems a little bit off at times, and for some of the links you have to click a lot of links to get to the page you want. I feel like some of that could be streamlined, but other than that it's pretty great.

**What problems is Gusto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gusto's really solving paycheck information, benefit information, time off information, all of that general HR stuff. It's a central place, and it's easy to navigate and find your information, so that's very helpful.

**What do you like best about Gusto?**

Gusto is a comprehensive platform that's great for onboarding and offboarding. I like that it keeps track of and handles all the benefits, taxes, and other mundane tasks, and it has everything in one location. It also has the ability to time track. What I like most is that it handles payments for benefits and other things like that, automating the process. We use QuickBooks integrated with Gusto, which basically creates journal entries that the salary expenses can be matched to, keeping our books straight. The initial setup was easy.

**What do you dislike about Gusto?**

{"I find the timesheet entry for salaried employees is not the best because it can't be as granular as other platforms have it.","I want more granularity like fractional hours, project-level tracking, rounding rules, and approval workflows—especially fractional hours."}

Gusto is great for onboarding and offboarding, and keeps track of benefits, taxes, and other mundane tasks all in one location. I like that it automates payments for benefits. It also has time tracking, and the QuickBooks integration creates journal entries so I can match salary expenses and keep our books straight.

**What do you like best about Gusto?**

I use Gusto to track my hours for my internship, and it helps calculate my pay and track my time effectively. I love that it tells me how many hours I have worked in the day and overall for the week. I like how user-friendly it is, and it does a great job tracking how much I should get in my paycheck. The initial setup was so easy and user-friendly.

**What do you dislike about Gusto?**

I think that sometimes when I click off the notes section of the logging hours text box, it clears everything out. This can be very frustrating and unreliable.

**What problems is Gusto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

**What do you like best about Gusto?**

It’s simple, easy to use, and doesn’t have too much visual fluff. The navigation bar is straightforward, with tabs that clearly describe what they are. I also haven’t run into any issues while using the system. The pricing was just right for our budget and sizing of the company with all the integrations/access needed.

**What do you dislike about Gusto?**

Initially when setting up my account it was very clunky and I had a hard time setting it up. I cant fully blame the system but it also had to do with hour company having this system before.

**What problems is Gusto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It’s solving a very simple problem for us: we’re downsizing and tightening our budget. This platform fits well with our current needs, and it was easy for the People team to get up to speed quickly.

**What do you like best about Gusto?**

Gusto is very easy to use and makes running payroll and the other administrative details of my small business less intimidating. It's affordable for my size of business (me, one employee and one contractor) and will continue to be affordable as we grow. I like that I'll be able to add other benefits (like healthcare) in the future as we grow.

**What do you dislike about Gusto?**

Some of the workflows are not intuitive, like if I go to run Payroll it says one of my employee's timesheet says "zero," when it should really say something not "0, not approved yet — approve before running payroll?" 
Other than some small quirks like this it's a great tool. I also love that it integrates with Quickbooks, though I find it frustrating that some of the fields do not map / use the same language across platforms. Onboarding was simple, took a few hours and we have had no issues since setup.

**What problems is Gusto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gusto saves me time and gives me confidence that I'm doing the things I need to do as a small business owner who is definitely NOT an HR professional. It has given me the confidence to bring on my first W2 employee which was a huge threshold we needed to cross before I could continue to grow my business. I'm also really excited that I'll be able to offer things like PTO, 401k contributions, and other benefits to my team in one place so I worry less about making mistakes with manual tracking.

**What do you like best about Gusto?**

What I like most about Gusto is that it’s affordable and includes extra features in its plans that you don’t get with other payroll software. I also appreciate that Gusto can grow with your business, so you don’t have to switch providers as you expand.

**What do you dislike about Gusto?**

I think the scheduling and timesheet features still have a lot of room for improvement, especially the Projects feature. I’ve had clients switch systems because they needed more robust time reporting (for example, to meet prevailing wage requirements) and a way to post open shifts.

**What problems is Gusto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gusto is definitely curving the market when it comes to integrations, automated taxes, the best customer support I've experienced with payroll software, and makes benefits administration very easy for growing companies.

**What do you like best about Gusto?**

User-friendly for both admins and end users. It makes single sign-on with Microsoft accounts easy to set up and includes everything a small to mid-size company needs. The initial setup is straightforward, and it’s just as simple to manage ongoing changes. Their support is great and quick to respond.

It also makes it easy to view the org hierarchy, so managing departments and employees stays simple. The automated surveys feature is a big plus, and I haven’t noticed any lag or slowdown. I also haven’t experienced any service interruptions.

Overall, it feels very affordable compared with other known names out there. I haven’t used the AI yet, but I’ve heard good things about its AI intelligence and automation, including Gus or other Natural langage AI assistants.

It needs more features for complicated workflows or integrations.

**What do you dislike about Gusto?**

It needs more features to support complicated workflows and integrations. It would be great to have a native API or built-in integration tools. Also, it’s not as strong as other systems when it comes to customization for high-end, large companies.

**What do you like best about Gusto?**

Gusto has made payroll super easy for our small organization. We have payroll on auto-pay, and it's wonderful to never have to worry about it. It is accurate and runs on time every pay period. It's also made paying contractors and sending them 1099s very easy. We are big fans!

**What do you dislike about Gusto?**

No complaints. As we grow, we plan to also add the benefits and paid time off tracking features.

**What problems is Gusto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We never have to think about whether payroll will run on time or be accurate. With Gusto, it's always on time and accurate. It's also so easy to pay contractors and to issue them their 1099s at the end of the year.

It is easy to use and customer service is fast and friendly! I am a small business and it's really eased up my payroll system.  I used to pay a small accounting firm and they were always making mistakes and it was out of my control.

I am a very small business and it feels expensive.

**What problems is Gusto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My problem was having control over my payroll in the past.  Now I have control of my payroll!  I love not having to collect information from my employees.  They enter it all on their own time!  I also love the tax forms.  They are easy for me as an owner and puts the responsibility on the employee to sign in and get their own documents.

**What do you like best about Gusto?**

I really like that Gusto is very simple to use and user-friendly. It's convenient that they have an app my employees can use to check their pay stubs and W-2s. The user-friendly nature helps us get through payroll quickly and enables us to utilize more of the features. Additionally, Gusto has an HR feature that I sometimes use for updating my employee handbook. It's great that they handle all of my tax payments both quarterly for state and federal, so I don't have to figure out the tax payments on my own. The initial setup was very easy, and the customer service was very valuable. They can provide support quickly, including live customer representatives. I also value their simplicity and great customer service, and I've referred Gusto to several colleagues who enjoy using it. I've already recommended Gusto to several friends and colleagues, and I would rate it a 10 out of 10.

I use Gusto for paying contractors and employees. It simplifies tax payments, handling state and federal taxes quarterly. It's user-friendly, speeding up payroll processing. The app lets employees check pay stubs and W-2s easily. The HR feature helps update my employee handbook.

**What do you like best about Gusto?**

I use Gusto to view checks, look at PTO accrued, and clock my hours. It's nice to keep everything housed in one spot. With a very small company of 13 people, it was challenging not having a way to submit PTO requests. Now, everything is laid out nicely and simply. I like the ability to review hours before the end of the pay period if there are any issues with time tracking. The interface is simple and easy to navigate, keeping everything in one spot, so I always know where to go. During tax season, things will be very simple. I also like the employee contact sheet because I often don't have quick access to everyone's numbers, and this is a great way to have that info on hand. The initial setup was very easy; our brand new office manager could set it up swiftly without issues. Shifting from old-school methods to Gusto is a big upgrade, moving away from printed checks.

**What do you dislike about Gusto?**

I think a quick tutorial when making an account would be helpful just to walk through all the different ways you can use the app/site.

Gusto lets me view checks, track PTO, and clock hours easily in one spot. It improves PTO management, simplifies time tracking, and provides quick access to colleagues' contact info.

**What do you like best about Gusto?**

I really like Gusto's payroll services because they are super easy to use and really quick compared to other sites we've used. It's great that it allows a quick turnaround, so if there are any issues or if we need to run payroll later, we have up until the night before to submit, unlike others where you have to do it two to three days in advance. It's also easy to go back and correct any mistakes in payroll. We used Gusto before and switched back because it's been reliable and offers good value for money.

**What do you dislike about Gusto?**

The document section in Gusto could be improved. While it's great for storing important employee files, I wish we could upload documents that aren't shared with staff but might be needed for future use, like a leave of absence template. It would be convenient to have it on Gusto, ready and filled with necessary text boxes, so I don't have to upload it each time I need to send it to someone.

**What problems is Gusto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gusto provides a reliable HRIS system and excels in payroll, making it quick and easy to use. It allows last-minute payroll changes and easy error corrections. Document management for employee files is beneficial, though uploading non-shared documents could be improved.

**What do you like best about Gusto?**

The interface of Gusto is very intuitive. I appreciate that there are notifications that remind me to do payroll, submit forms, and call out when I might be eligible for a tax credit due to my specific circumstances. I hae been incredibly pleased by how much Gusto handles for me, putting me at ease when it was time to do my taxes. I appreciate and have valued the Guideline integration as well as I am a solo entrepreneur and hadn't the first idea where to go to start a 401K. I have tried Wave, and Quicken and Gusto is hands down the easiest to use and the most reliable. I did have one one issue where my state tax did not get submitted on time. I received a notice in the mail with a fee. I easily found how to submit a report to customer services who promptly shared that they had fixed the issue and would be issuing me a credit for the small late fee I had incurred. The Customer service is excellent!  When comparing pricing for the services provided, Gusto is the utmost overall value for what you get, and I'm 100% satisfied after 6 months of use.

**What do you dislike about Gusto?**

I absolutely love the invoicing feature, but I would appreciate more of an ability to add in notes or comments for each line item I add. I provide a variety of service and would love to be able to overview what projects the task covered.

**What problems is Gusto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's solving tax payment submissions, running payroll, helping me contribute to my 401K, and helping me create a user-friendly, seamless invoicing system for my clients.

**What do you like best about Gusto?**

The timeclock is easy to use. The information is clear and understandable, and pay periods are clearly defined.

**What do you dislike about Gusto?**

I greatly dislike all instances of AI integration, and wish that it would be removed completely. I also dislike the integration of predatory "payday loan" companies and personable-sounding emails. Most people interact with their payroll in a way that is strictly professional, and I feel like straying too far from this is leaving your company at risk of seeming too unorganized and unprofessional. Especially the fact that AI is integrated into the review process--I am certain that customers will input feedback which is misconstrued or re-written improperly by the AI, and those reviews will thus be inaccurate and untrustworthy.

**What problems is Gusto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gusto works well to manage my timeclock. I appreciate that I can see an estimate of my upcoming pay period and view schedules. Onboarding was easy. Pricing and performance seem to be on-track with other options.

**What do you like best about Gusto?**

I love using Gusto for keeping track of my time because it simplifies my daily tasks by allowing me to clock in and out with ease. The feature to log in on my phone and the option to clock in enhances my user experience significantly. I find it very easy to access, which is crucial for managing my work hours conveniently. The ability to view my check stubs also adds to the overall usefulness of Gusto, providing me with a comprehensive overview of my earnings. Despite needing some time to initially get used to the interface, the daily use has made it intuitive and easy to handle. Overall, Gusto is working out great for me, without any notable issues so far.

Nothing at the moment. Everything is working out great for me

The user interface is very intuitive and does not overcomplicate navigation functions or information layouts. Even without any formal training, I was easily able to locate any information I needed without having to search through multiple links. I also appreciate the additional suggested options available to users under the Benefits section, such as third-party insurances offered at a discount that can be taken directly out of my check, and I actually took advantage of the pet insurance through the Lemonade offer for my dog Arlo!

My only dislikes about Gusto relate to the Pay features and tracking. It would be nice if the "Track paycheck status" and "View upcoming checks" features actually displayed future pay information instead of just looping back to each other on the same two pages. Not sure if this is an isolated flaw due to the way my company's Gusto profile is set up, but this would be a great feature I would use regularly if it worked. Also, I once again don't know if this is just a "my company" thing or all of Gusto, but it would be nice if paychecks were distributed at the start of the determined pay day (9AM) instead of at the close of day (5PM).

As a small business of <5, Gusto has been integral in our time and pay tracking, as this was previously being recorded manually in spreadsheets on a daily and bi-weekly basis. No with the clock function, lunch break and time off tracking, and integrated payroll (previously we had to outsource these numbers to ADP), we don't have to spend any time or resources on tracking these numbers and have higher confidence in their accuracy.

I probably like every feature of Gusto. The time tracking and the geofencing options are what really stand out for our clients. The employees can input their times according to various tasks they do, and they just have to time in and time out by selecting their task in the drop-down feature. All of those entries are only made when they are in the location fixed by the geofencing option, which works good. The setup process was really good because the onboarding team from Gusto was very helpful. Our accountant was also connected with them, so everything went smoothly. The payroll team made sure the first payroll was run properly. So the onboarding process was really good, and the assistance was top notch.

**What do you dislike about Gusto?**

I think probably the geofencing option does not work offline. I would really love that the sensing option is turned on when it works offline so that whenever the employees are online back again, the time could be entered accordingly. Because a lot of times, we have sites in the mountains where there isn't any Internet service. So then it becomes a hassle for us to use the geofencing option. There are also two features that I want to be improved. One is if I am reimbursing an employee on their own health insurance plan.

The Gusto platform is so easy to use.  I have used ADP and Paychex and they are so unnecessarily complex, and this is coming from someone who has a payroll and HR background. Gusto is so easy that even a small business owner with no previous experience processing payroll could handle it.  The layout is very user friendly. The software basically walks you through everything step-by-step.  I can run payroll in a flash.  And onboarding is also super fast.  It sends the new employee a welcome message and reminders about documents they need for their I-9 and notifies other staff that a new employee is coming on board.   It reminds you about birthdays and anniversaries for staff as well.  And you cannot beat Gusto's price. I highly recommend.

Honestly, nothing is really bad about it. I cannot think of anything negative.

I love that Gusto allows employees to change their clock-ins on their own. Tracking paychecks is one wonderful perk, but the best part is the savings goals feature. With the paycheck tracker, I know ahead of time what to expect from my upcoming paycheck, and it's nice to see the amount I'm receiving without having to check my bank account. The savings goals feature is one of the best I've come across in an employee app. It's incredibly easy to set up a savings goal that not only takes money out directly from my paycheck but also accrues interest. The ability to name goals and create multiple savings goals is an incredible feature. Additionally, the initial setup was extremely simple, and I was signed up and an employee via Gusto before my company even added me to their internal systems.

Gusto has been very user-friendly for me. Both the app and the website are easy to use and navigate, and clocking in and out is simple. I also like the payday tracking feature because it lets me see when my paycheck is coming and the amount.

The company calendar is helpful for PTO since I can see when other staff members will be out, and the overall process for requesting PTO is easy and straightforward. In addition, my workplace uses the expense feature. As a teacher, I buy items for my classroom and then submit them for reimbursement, and the process is easy to use. Before using Gusto, our company tracked staff PTO in Google Calendar, which ended up cluttering and overloading everyone’s calendars. It’s much more helpful to have PTO in a separate place that we can reference whenever needed. Previously, my HR person tracked reimbursements and kept that information only for herself, so I had to separately create my own log of the reimbursements I submitted. Now I don’t have to take that extra step. Overall, having everything in one place for our organization has been very helpful.

**What do you like best about Gusto?**

It is very easy to use, even for people that are not fond of technology. It has good integrations with Google workplace and Slack. I never had a technical issue or problem about the platform's performance. The support team is always eager to help although they can sometimes take quite some time to help us with our issues. Price wise, I think that it is an economic option for many companies that are getting started.

**What do you dislike about Gusto?**

Unfortunately, we needed to move to a bigger provider that allowed better PEO Healthcare plans for our employees. With Gusto we were stuck with UnitedHealthcare and many employees were having issues with it. I had to manually externalize through a broker to obtain Anthem BC, and then this year we decided to move to Rippling to get access to Kaiser and Aetna.

Easy tracking of onboarding tasks, tax registrations, payroll reports.

There are some settings that have been difficult to find, like how to let a contractor go. I also would love if there was a more affordable plan when working with contractors only, since Gusto does not need to file with the state quarterly for them.

**What do you like best about Gusto?**

Everything is in one place such as payroll, on-boarding, benefits, time tracking and so no need to jump between three tabs with three different logins trying to remember which password you used and that alone is worth it. Also the support team also are genuinely good people who respond fast and follow through. When i had questions taking over payroll duties, someone was there.

**What do you dislike about Gusto?**

Reporting is the weak spot and as I need one clean report but instead i’m downloading two or three reports and combining them in excel which is annoying when clearly all of the data exists in there somewhere. The LMS side is bare and doesn’t even show the right answer if someone fails a question which is a weird thing to leave out.

**What problems is Gusto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Processing payroll manually took time that i did not have. Gusto has taken care of it all. Onboarding new hires go through a paperless process and i no longer have to hold their hands throughout the entire process and also mployee records and time tracking are integrated together so if a new hire starts or a previous hire leaves; nothing will fall through the cracks.

Whenever I need help, I can quickly connect with a real person who is knowledgeable and able to resolve my questions efficiently. It's reassuring to know that expert assistance is available when I need it, making payroll and HR tasks much easier to manage.

One thing I don't like is that it's not easy to apply a pay increase retroactively. It would be helpful if Gusto made it simpler to enter a raise with an effective date in the past and automatically adjust payroll as needed.

I use Gusto for onboarding paperwork, payroll, and managing my direct deposit information. I appreciate how it keeps all of my onboarding and payroll information in one place and makes it easy to complete my hiring documents electronically. I like how it allows me to access my pay information without having to deal with a bunch of paper forms. Another thing I like is that everything is organized in one place, making it easy to access my documents without having to search through multiple websites or forms. The website is straightforward, and the overall experience felt simple and user-friendly. It made onboarding and payroll tasks easy to manage, and the platform was simple to use. From what I've heard, the setup was fairly easy, and as a new employee, my onboarding process was simple and straightforward.

I think Gusto could provide a little more guidance for new users during the onboarding process so it's easier to understand what each section is for. Adding a few more explanations for forms and payroll terms could make onboarding easier for new users.

Still not much challenges were faced. Few times had mistakes with payrolls and support team was friendly and guided through to fix the problems.

Gusto was used to pay our contractors payroll. And options in plan gives for Gusto users right working tool. Adding of contractors is a very easy and time saving.
