**What do you like best about Gusto?**

I love Gusto for its ability to solve payroll and tax issues by efficiently filing taxes for us, which significantly reduces my administrative burden, when the taxes are filed correctly if at all. I find the document management features very beneficial, allowing me to upload, edit, and distribute documents like employee handbooks and policies seamlessly to staff members. This feature is enhanced by the capability to have different sections of a form filled out by employees and the administration side, which greatly aids in collaborative documentation and accuracy. Additionally, the initial setup process was straightforward and uncomplicated, reflecting Gusto's user-friendly design.

**What do you dislike about Gusto?**

I find that Gusto lacks a built-in accounting software feature similar to QuickBooks. This limitation means I need to manage accounting separately, which could be more seamlessly integrated within Gusto.

**What problems is Gusto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Gusto to solve payroll and tax issues, as they handle tax filing for us. It also allows document uploads and edits for onboarding, enabling shared form filling between employees and administration, streamlining our processes. Some issues we have had is Gusto not filing the tax form and us being charged late fees and Gusto has said before someone else has filed the taxes so they couldn't but no one else can file the taxes.

**What do you like best about Gusto?**

I like how easy it is to interact with the website. I like that I can see the date I am getting paid when I login, and that past pay stubs are easy to get. I find this most useful when I am needing documentation of pay stubs such as when applying for a rental, I can easy find all that on my profile. I also really like how easy it is to switch/ split my paycheck. At other jobs, it was always a pain to switch my bank account that is connected to direct deposit, but gusto makes it very simple. I also like I can get my W2 online and not have to wait for it in the mail, as i like to do my taxes as soon as I can to get it done. With this feature I can do it very easily.

**What do you dislike about Gusto?**

I would day gusto satisfies all my needs as an employee getting paid. I guess there are features that I havent tried as it seems it would take a while to input information for budgeting. Generally I am happy with this platform.

**What problems is Gusto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I had more confusion about W2 and paycheck breakdown before using this plateform, but now I feel like i have plently of resources at my disposable to understand my financials.

**What do you like best about Gusto?**

 I still like the ease of use for small, uncomplicated businesses. I also like that it integrates with QuickBooks Online, making my job as an accountant easier.

**What do you dislike about Gusto?**

I would like it to be able to track locations for 1099 contractors, and be able to split hours amount different cities. In Ohio, that is the biggest challenge, the city tax authorities. Being able to track these in Gusto would be a great feature for construction businesses, as well as other service based businesses that travel. The tax notice research is not accurate. Amended returns for OH cities not made for adjustments to prior periods, causing me to have to pick up the slack. I also did not like how it automatically added Guideline to a client, that was using Human interest at the same time, causing me strife. 

**What problems is Gusto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is making it easier for me by atomating tasks. Most clients are single owner S Corps and need a regular salary, Gusto easily lets me set that up, and keep them regular.

**What do you like best about Gusto?**

I like that the interface is really easy to use and navigate. The support team seems really available and the FAQ pages are easy to access. It makes it easy to clock in and clock out and to edit any shifts in case I need to go back and add a note to my hours. It also keeps my tax documents and pay stubs easily accessible and lets me see when upcoming paychecks are set to release. Earlier this year, I was getting all my tax documents in order to file my taxes, and though those documents are sometimes difficult to find through your job, Gusto's interface made it easy to navigate to the pay stubs, W-2 forms, and other documents I needed to make the whole experience smoother. The interface being simple, straightforward and not too cluttered makes it easy to use on a day to day basis. It's clear and visually simple but refined, so I'm not wasting time trying to navigate around a cluttered or clunky website. I can also access it from my phone and the app is super easy too, so if I'm on the go I can access all that I need. The setup was pretty easy with the instructions that were sent, and it was smooth and straightforward.

**What do you dislike about Gusto?**

On the mobile app, I think that there might be a discrepancy in the total hours for the month or for the pay period. The mobile app does not always include PTO time in total hours. Since the breakdown is a little bit more detailed on the website version rather than the app, I will typically just double check it on the computer in order to view my total hours.

**What problems is Gusto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Since I work from home, Gusto makes it easy to clock in and out and edit shifts when I take a break or add a note to my hours. It keeps my tax documents and pay stubs easily accessible, and lets me see when upcoming paychecks release.

**What do you like best about Gusto?**

I find Gusto pretty user-friendly, which makes handling tasks like payroll, time sheets, time off requests and balances easier. I also appreciate how it manages employment offers and onboarding. It's great that I can send everything electronically to a new employee and keep track of what's completed. The initial setup was fairly simple too, which was a relief.

**What do you dislike about Gusto?**

I don't like having to always log in with a passcode when I switch between my admin account and my personal employee account. It would be nice if Gusto would keep us logged in or save the password without having to enter password and code every time.

**What problems is Gusto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Gusto for payroll and tracking time off balances. It makes sending employment offers easy and keeps track of what's completed.

**What do you like best about Gusto?**

Review Update 6/9/26 - Gusto just keeps getting better. The system is incredibly reliable for tracking my hours, and my direct deposit consistently hits a day early, this feature alone has blessed me in so many ways. Their partnership with Clair for small interest-free advances between paydays is an awesome, helpful feature. The interface is beautiful and always very easy to navigate! Prior to my current place of employment, I hadn't heard of Gusto yet, but I am just very grateful that my employer uses Gusto for their payroll needs. Since being introduced to Gusto and all of the services offered, I have decided to keep all of my banking needs with them. Gusto customer service support is quick to respond and in the event a call is needed, the reason for calling is resolved immediately, never long hold times. The software is safe and secure, I could go on and on, I honestly can't say enough great things about Gusto!

**What do you dislike about Gusto?**

I've been using Gusto for about 1 year now, and continue to like it more and more, I haven't found one thing that I'm unhappy with so far! 

**What problems is Gusto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I outlined this in my review. Everything is Gusto is making life so much easier and efficient. I am speaking from and employee of Open Doors/ User perspective. I've used many other systems for payroll tracking, etc. but nothing that even comes close to comparing with Gusto! I'm very impressed with the system. 

If I had to select the thing that is most beneficial to me, it is the savings account/debit card that you can enroll for and possibly be paid a couple of days early in some cases. When using that card, it is awesome how it tracks and allocated expenses.

**What do you like best about Gusto?**

We've expanded into using Gusto for contractor payments and management 
alongside our core HR needs. Having employees, contractors, 1099s, and 
payroll all in one place has cut down on tool sprawl for our team. The 
onboarding flow for new hires is straightforward and the automated tax 
filings continue to be dependable. The mobile app updates for time 
tracking and PTO requests have also been a nice quality-of-life 
improvement.


**What do you dislike about Gusto?**

Reporting could still use some work — pulling custom cross-year 
comparisons or combined payroll + contractor payment reports takes 
more clicks than it should. Deeper integrations with benefits providers 
would also help streamline open enrollment cycles.

**What do you like best about Gusto?**

It's been years since I started using Gusto and it still remains my favorite payroll app. I love how easy it is to find any information I need: whether it be my paystub or my tax information...it's all just a couple of clicks away. I also really love the paycheck tracker and how it keeps me informed of where my paycheck is as it's processing, this makes any delays visible way in advance and I can reach out to my boss if something looks out of place. I also really really love their pay splitter...so so easy to use and a great way for me to save! 

**What do you dislike about Gusto?**

Nothing! I love Gusto! Super easy to use and very user friendly! 

**What problems is Gusto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gusto is solving the issue of keeping track of my pay and any info related to it. In the past, it was difficult to track down my paystubs or tax information. It also solves the problem of wanting to easily split my pay if necessary.

**What do you like best about Gusto?**

Since my last review, Gusto has continued to exceed our expectations. What stands out most is how easy it makes payroll and employee management. Tasks that used to take considerable time are now completed quickly and accurately.

Our team appreciates the intuitive interface, and onboarding new employees has been seamless. Payroll processing has been reliable, giving us confidence that employees are paid correctly and on time. Whenever we've needed assistance, customer support has been knowledgeable and responsive.

The biggest benefit has been peace of mind. Gusto allows us to spend less time worrying about payroll and compliance and more time focusing on growing our business and supporting our team. We continue to be very satisfied with the platform and would recommend it to others.

**What do you dislike about Gusto?**

It's difficult to identify any major areas for improvement because our experience has been consistently positive. As the platform continues to grow, additional integrations and advanced features for larger or more complex organizations could provide even greater flexibility. For our current needs, however, Gusto performs very well.

All we have to do are enter our staff's hours and Gusto does all the rest. It is a wonderful system. As a user as well, I can pull up my app at any time and see everything I need to know about my personal info to include all pay information.

**What do you like best about Gusto?**

One thing I've really liked recently is how Gusto has expanded its integrations. It feels much more connected to my overall compensation and retirement benefits, especially with IRA-related services. Even as more functionality has been added, the experience has stayed simple and intuitive. The different systems work well together, so I can manage and understand my benefits without feeling like I'm jumping between disconnected tools.

**What do you dislike about Gusto?**

Gusto does a great job simplifying healthcare enrollment and giving a high-level understanding of my benefits. That said, healthcare details are notoriously complex, and the more granular aspects of coverage such as specific treatment costs, provider nuances, or detailed plan comparisons are still difficult to surface within the platform. 

**What problems is Gusto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating a clear visualization of the benefits package, as well as being able to communicate company structure and organization. Gusto has expanded the use-case from just payroll to anything benefits/compensation related and even keeping track of the org structure, and a new way to introduce new-hires.

**What do you like best about Gusto?**

Gusto continues to beat out any other payroll provider I've ever used, after three years of experience with them. The website is simple and intuitive to use; the app gives all our employees a "self service" kind of experience. We haven't had any issues whatsoever with tax payments being made to the correct organizations, or with forms being filed correctly or on time. In a couple instances, I actually had the wrong tax percentage entered for our state unemployment insurance, and Gusto caught the error and corrected without any additional action from me. It all runs smooth as silk. On the rare occasion I need to contact them, it takes almost no time to get a smart and relatable human on the phone. I have at no time been punted to another person or had to call a second time, etc. They are great!

**What do you dislike about Gusto?**

One thing I wish they would do is combine the websites for Gusto and Guideline, which have now merged, so we don't have so many logins. Two logins for each of our businesses adds up. Additionally, with Guideline, now referred to as "Gusto by Guideline," PLEASE add the ability to enter an SSN for a beneficiary. Just entering a name and classifying the relationship does not impart any confidence whatsoever that that person will be contacted if the account holder does pass away.

**What problems is Gusto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Gusto for payroll at two companies, and both integrated seamlessly with Guideline 401(k) management. Recently, Gusto and Guideline have merged, but I don't expect to notice much of a difference since it was already flawless before.

**What do you like best about Gusto?**

I like the service is fairly simple to use for when you need to run payroll. There are automated tools that do work but they require some fine tuning around timing, especially for international contractors.

**What do you dislike about Gusto?**

Before allowing international contractors to change their mode of processing you should notify the company. We've had contractors change to another payment option and it costs us more money. We may be ok with that depending on the situation but notice would be best.

**Recommendations to others considering Gusto:**

Don't let the simplicity of Gusto fool you into thinking it's not enough. Behind the scenes, the Gusto system is comprehensive and ready for companies to scale. As always, do your research to make sure what Gusto offers meets your company's needs.

**What problems is Gusto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our primary issue was needing simple payroll that was easy for our admins to complete. We're seeing a serious time savings when running payroll and our employees love the new interface. However, state filing has not been good. we have had a couple of occasions over the past 6 months where we were charged late fees by a state. Gusto points the finger at anyone but themselves.

**What do you like best about Gusto?**

As an employee who uses Gusto regularly, one of the things I appreciate most about the platform is how easy it makes it to access and manage important payroll information. I have been using it every year and it has always been helpful and reliable! Whether I need to review past paychecks, download pay stubs, access tax documents, or verify upcoming payments, everything is organized in a way that is intuitive and easy to navigate. I do not use payroll software every day, so having a platform that makes information readily accessible without requiring  training is a major advantage.

Over the past year, I have also noticed continued improvements to the overall user experience. The dashboard is clean and straightforward, notifications are helpful without being overwhelming, and it is easy to find the information I need quickly. I especially appreciate having payroll records, tax forms, and benefits-related information centralized in one place rather than spread across multiple systems. The self-service functionality saves time and reduces the need to contact HR for routine requests.

Also, the breakdown of earnings, deductions, taxes, and benefits is clear and easy to understand. Having immediate access to historical records is particularly useful when preparing financial documents, vis applications, or reviewing compensation information. Features that may seem simple such as easily downloadable pay stubs and tax forms have consistently proven valuable throughout the year!! Thank you!

Nothing to improve this year! And amazing customer service. Thank you!!!

**What problems is Gusto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For me, it has eliminated the confusion and delays around pay stub access, paycheck tracking, and understanding payment schedules. I no longer have to guess when I am getting paid or dig through emails or HR portals to find old pay stubs, everything is centralized and easy to access.

One major benefit has been the ability to generate customized reports and export exactly the information I need for things like housing applications or visa paperwork. Gusto’s built-in reporting tools let me filter what I need, and when something is not obvious, customer support is right there to help. That level of transparency and control over my own employment records is something I really value. I live that I do not have to rely on a third party every time I need something.

**What do you like best about Gusto?**

Between managing our employee benefits, time-off, and payroll, Gusto makes the whole thing so smooth and seamless. It is so simple to add and edit details, manage historical information, access helpful reports, and it automatically takes care of so many of the important tax filings that would otherwise take me hours. Their customer service is incredible. The staff are kind, patient, helpful, and just so easy to work with. Using Gusto saves me not only time but it removes the stress from the HR and payroll process. I couldn't recommend Gusto more!

**What do you dislike about Gusto?**

I have made errors in the past with the manual addition of benefits because rates vary a across staff and benefit level and it can start to get complicated when you have a lot of people, plans, and coverage options. However, I did make a pretty big mistake once and the Customer Service helped me resolve it across the board for all employees for the whole year and made me feel so much more confident that my end of year numbers were accurate.

**What do you like best about Gusto?**

Another service that I found I really liked is the splitting up the billing option. I recently added a new bank account, and with that I was able to very easily connect and split my payments between different accounts. I have found they are also really great with updating my HSA account and making it clear how much money I can spend and how much money I have spent. 

**What do you dislike about Gusto?**

One thing I'd like to know is that they did fix the issue with the Google login. One thing I would like improved would be seeing the pay time off that was accepted, declined, or pending a little bit more clearly. To me, it's not super intuitive. I think it should automatically be hidden until the user chooses to press on either pending, declined, or accepted PTO request. 

**What problems is Gusto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problems Gusto has solved for me has been clocking in and out with ease, and managing my times off. It benefits me by taking off the stress of managing my time punches and taking off. I feel like I can trust this platform and how user friendly it is

**What do you like best about Gusto?**

I've continued to appreciate how easy Gusto makes payroll and employee management. The automated reminders and notifications help keep everything on track, and the employee self-service features make it convenient for team members to access their pay stubs and tax documents. The platform continues to save time and reduce administrative work.

**What do you dislike about Gusto?**

I'm still only using Gusto for payroll and haven't used it for other benefits yet. But since my last review Gusto have really upped their game in making the experience and process even more user-friendly and as seamless as possible. From the dashboard when you log in, to completing a payroll literally takes seconds, provided there is no extra input required for that particular payroll. And even if there is, it's easy to do and very easy to navigate. 

**What do you dislike about Gusto?**

While they've definitely taken steps to make things easier to find, I still do find it a little confusing sometimes to find documents I might need. There's a clear menu bar on the left side, but even inside this menus sometimes it can be hard to find where documents are because the tabs inside the menu are not always so obvious. I know that these are things Gusto is actively trying to correct and get better at. 

**Recommendations to others considering Gusto:**

I'm sure there are other payroll services out there that have been around far longer and offer far more. It goes without saying that it's worth checking them out and comparing depending on your company's needs. I know that for me and my company, Gusto is great.

Payroll is such a simple task that it is not a worry at all when it comes up. IN 2 minutes it's completely done. And if I ever receive anything in the mail regarding my payroll (either from the state or the IRS) I simply take picture of the letter, email or chat with their customer service and it gets taken care of. SO the benefits - practically no headaches with regards to payroll and major time saved.

Gusto recently updated its contractor payment interface to appear more table-like and more itemized—chunking out base pay, tips, overtime, and reimbursement. We're able to see all the important info without too much scrolling and can easily visualize payments across different contractors.

Looking forward to seeing how the newly announced AI agents improve the platform though I'm wary of how over-investment in AI tools means other areas of the product are neglected. I hope a balance is struck.

**What do you like best about Gusto?**

I am a Payroll Specialist for an Accounting and Bookkeeping firm, so I use Gusto along with another well known platform to perform all of my payroll tasks. I can say that there are certain things that I like a lot more on Gusto then on the other platform, such as ease of navigation across the platform, helpful, generally knowledgeable and friendly customer service and multiple different options of contacting customer service including chat, (which I use most frequently) email, phone call (when the lines are open) or a call back feature. They have a pretty helpful knowledgebase if you are trying to resolve an issue on your own as well. I did utilize their certification programs when I was first learning how to navigate Gusto as well, which I found very helpful and being able to add the badge to my signature lets our clients know that I have done my due diligence to learn the ins and outs of the Gusto platform. Gusto has a ton of useful features to offer it's clients, and we also use Gusto for our own payroll platform, so I use it as a user as well as an Administrative role and find ease of navigation to be across the board as both types of users.

**What do you dislike about Gusto?**

So far with my personal experience, there have been a few areas that could use improvement. I have had a few encounters with customer support, primarily through chat, that have given out incorrect information which lead to further interactions needed with customer support for the same issue. There have been numerous bugs and issues on the site that I have needed to report as well. There are still a few features that clients would like to see Gusto develop, such as options for Roth 401k deductions (post-tax), as one example. I have also been told on numerous occasions by customer support that I would be contacted further about a specific issue, and never heard back from anyone regarding my case. I have also requested call backs and never received any call back.

We have been able to sell a lot of our clients on Gusto's payroll services, which helps our business grow and gives our clients confidence in our abilities to handle their payroll with precision and care on a trustworthy and fairly priced platform.

I really appreciate how Gusto keeps all the functions under one login, which makes things a lot more streamlined. The user interface is simple and appealing, perfect for a mid-size firm like ours. It might not have all the intricate workflow capabilities, but simplicity is better for us. I love that it allows us to accurately track job costs by logging operations hours and labor burden under specific codes, and we can easily pull these reports monthly. Gusto's reporting is strong enough for our needs, and I've found the setup incredibly clean and straightforward. The initial setup was super easy, and if your data is clean, you can migrate payroll in less than two weeks. It’s a tremendous choice if you thoughtfully plan your needs.

The only improvement I would suggest is more admin capability and access on the benefits side. If there is a missed enrollment for example that a broker failed to make you have to go through customer service and request the amendment. I would like to have a waiver process where the admin could have those rights like some other systems. I understand it cuts down on liability for Gusto but does add some time. Would not make that a determining issue that is more an edge case that could be simplified especially if you get headcounts greater than 50.

**What do you like best about Gusto?**

I think its pretty easy to find w2 and paychecks which I seem to constantly need and dont need to go through the hassle of asking my boss. The ability to access these especially very old ones is great.

**What do you dislike about Gusto?**

I feel like thre is so many features I do not access because I just dont know about or feel comfortable because am I supposed to be using them for my benefit or is it fluff to sell things. For isntance cash flow.

**What problems is Gusto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I like to see how much money  I make each period in comparison to previous periiods so it is easy to go back each time and look at how much money I received and then compare it

**What do you like best about Gusto?**

The platform is very user-friendly and makes managing work hours simple and efficient. Clocking in and out takes just a few seconds, whether I'm using my computer or mobile device, and it's easy to track my hours and timecards.

One of my favorite features is how straightforward it is to request time off. The process is quick, approvals are easy to follow, and I can always see my available balance without having to ask anyone. Everything is organized in one place, making payroll, attendance, and time-off management stress-free.

Overall, Gusto is reliable, intuitive, and saves a lot of time. I would highly recommend it to any company looking for an easy-to-use workforce management and payroll solution.

**What do you dislike about Gusto?**

At this time, I don't have any significant suggestions for improvement. Gusto has been easy to use, reliable, and provides all the features I need for managing my time, attendance, and time-off requests. My overall experience has been very positive.

usto is solving the hassle and complexity of managing payroll, benefits, and time off—all in one place. It eliminates the need for multiple systems or manual tracking, which saves time and reduces errors. For me, it means I don’t have to worry about whether my pay is processed correctly, and I can easily access everything from my paycheck details to PTO balances right in the app. It’s also helped my employers stay compliant and organized, which creates a smoother experience for everyone on the team.

**What do you like best about Gusto?**

I find it easy to manage all aspects as an employee, such as knowing when holidays are coming up, when I will get paid next, and being able to look back at past pay stubs. I really appreciate the ability to do all this on my own without having to reach out to someone else.

**What do you dislike about Gusto?**

This is so minor, but one thing that I don't really care for is when I'm approving employees' vacation time. I can't see in the same window if any other employees have vacation around that time just to be able to see that full view.

**What problems is Gusto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gusto helps us with payroll, maintaining 401(k) plans, and allows employees to self-regulate vacations. It's easy for me to access holiday schedules, pay stubs, and manage time-off without needing others' assistance.

**What do you like best about Gusto?**

Gusto has a lot of features, one of my favorites being the ability to edit your clock-in time even while you're clocked in. This is especially useful so that I don't have to wait to clock out to fix my clock in time. It's a very intuitive and easy-to-use software. It was integrated seamlessly with our startup. I use Gusto every day, and I appreciate how it's not just a clock-in/out software but also implements features to integrate with my finances in general. Its super easy to use and the tax add one was an exceptional bonus.

**What do you dislike about Gusto?**

I wish there were a way to do a mass entry process and input a ton of hours at once. I also wish I could toggle between date entries by just pressing Enter.

**What problems is Gusto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We primarily use Gusto for paying our employees while staying in accordance with IRS regulations.

**What do you like best about Gusto?**

One thing I’ve noticed is how easy Gusto makes it to keep track of everything in one place. Whenever I need an old paystub, tax document, or payroll record, I know exactly where to find it without digging through emails. The pay notifications are also helpful. it’s nice that the platform feels straightforward and not overly complicated.

**What do you dislike about Gusto?**

I would definitely recommend it for small companies. If I had to suggest one improvement, it would be making some of the payroll and tax information easier to understand for employees who are not familiar with HR or payroll terminology. A few more explanations or quick guides within the platform could make it even more user-friendly. Other than that, I haven't really encountered any major issues.

**What problems is Gusto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gusto is a simple to use platform for employees trying to access and organize their payrolls. I find it extremely convenient to use in a busy lifestyle where I do not have time to organize important documents such as paystubs, W2s and other related documents.

I continue to appreciate how Gusto provides an all-in-one platform for managing both contractors and W-2 employees. Beyond payroll, I value the integrated HR features, including hiring resources, performance management tools, onboarding support, and employee learning resources. The platform is intuitive, saves time, and makes it easier to manage the administrative aspects of running a business without needing multiple systems. I also appreciate the transparency and ease of access to important employee and payroll information.

Overall, my experience with Gusto has been very positive. If there is one area that could be enhanced, it would be providing more guidance around multi-state tax setup and compliance requirements during the onboarding process. While I understand these regulations can vary significantly by state and may not be entirely within Gusto's control, having access to more specialized educational resources or expert support for state-specific tax questions could be helpful for new business owners navigating the setup process.

I like using Gusto for payroll because it makes it easier than calculating all the deductions myself. I really appreciate the ability to chat with an actual person to get an answer, which is super helpful. Additionally, the ease of use is nice. Its pretty simple UI design makes it intuitive.

**What do you dislike about Gusto?**

I wish Gusto had more features, especially with journal entry changes in accounting software, like using manual checks in different accounts than direct deposits. I find the process of handling employee leave cumbersome as I'd prefer an option to mark an employee as inactive instead of skipping them on each payroll. The benefits and deductions setup feels backwards because I have to add the first one through the deductions tab and then can manage everything from the employee page afterward. It would be simpler if everything could start from the same spot.

**What problems is Gusto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gusto makes payroll easier by calculating deductions for me. I like that I can chat with a real person for answers. Its simple UI is intuitive and easy to use.

The ability to go into a submitted payroll and make changes now without having to cancel the entire payroll and redo it is definitely a game changer!

**What do you dislike about Gusto?**

We use classes in QBO. I would like the ability to set a class code for the journal entries that Gusto makes in QBO so I don't have to go into every line and add the class. 

**What problems is Gusto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Payroll is easy to do and easy to submit. I spend much less time doing payroll than I used to with QB Online. Onboarding is a breeze because Gusto walks you through setting up new employees and ensures you are complying with state and federal laws for hiring.

**What do you like best about Gusto?**

I really appreciate the dashboard and how user-friendly it is. I think the vibe of it is actually really nice. It's easy for me to use on the admin side, and it's easy for employees to use on their side as well. It's comprehensive without being overly complicated. The initial setup was quite easy, which I found convenient as we are a new company.

**What do you dislike about Gusto?**

One of the things that is not ideal is the state tax setup has to be done with a third party, and some of the third-party integrations in the past haven't been the best. Also, there's no way to retroactively correct pay and have it be auto-calculated, so math has to be manual and input in as additional pay if there's a change in payroll that needs to be retroactive back to a specific date. It would be much easier if the system could calculate those numbers automatically.

**What problems is Gusto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gusto is great for payroll management, time off, and policy tracking. It's also helpful for employees to see their pay stubs and assists with compliance on the HR and operation side.

**What do you like best about Gusto?**

The software is very easy to use and employees like it.  It is easy to onboard people and some of the tools make running the office more smooth (like the ability to look at the calendar,etc.)

**What do you dislike about Gusto?**

I find Gusto's filing systems and the ability to clean out old information from the account to be lacking. This functionality doesn't work as expected and can cause clutter in our data management. Additionally, the inability to add or edit a policy halfway through the year is problematic. For instance, if there's a mid-year policy change such as a leave allocation, the system fails to detect and apply these changes properly. This can lead to discrepancies in leave management. Furthermore, Gusto's benefits integration is not very impressive; it lacks the seamless integration needed to manage employee benefits effectively.

The ability to have an automated payroll is the best benefit. Beyond that, the time tracking, leave balances, and consolidated source of employee information makes life easier

I like how user-friendly Gusto is. I know exactly where to go to find what I am looking for. It's straight to the point, neat, and enjoyable to use. I can also see all my documents and benefits, which is great. Gusto is much more user-friendly and easy to use compared to the previous software we used. The initial setup of Gusto was very easy, and I am very satisfied with my experience.

I am very satisfied with my experience and don't have anything to dislike.

I use Gusto for timesheets, requests, contact info, and org structure, and I love its user-friendliness and neat layout. It's easy to find what I need and manage documents and benefits.

**What do you like best about Gusto?**

Everything is so easy to find in Gusto, it's a hub for everything you need related to HR. I also love the pig mascot on the loading page, I smile when it changes outfits for the season!

**What do you dislike about Gusto?**

It might be nice if they started including a calendar view of time off, so that I could see if my team's requested PTO overlaps in any way. I also wish that time off could be better integrated into Outlook - I do have this set up, but it shows half days as full days, which can become confusing.

**What problems is Gusto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A web-based HR solution as opposed to having multiple forms stored on our server. It helps us stay organized and focused on our work instead of dealing with a mess of files. I also love how I can find information about all of my team members on Gusto.
