**What do you like best about Growth Velocity?**

I really appreciate Growth Velocity's ability to capture direct, unbiased feedback from buyers, which provides valuable insights into product, pricing, and messaging. Their interviewing methodology and reporting are particularly valuable to me. The interviews are thorough, seeking truth and nuance, and their reporting platform is easy to interact with. I also love that interview reports are usually available within 24 hours. I'm impressed with Willem, who is a great interviewer with a solid understanding of sales and product in software contexts. He asks smart questions with our business context in mind and has been a good partner in every sense.

Growth Velocity helps capture direct, unbiased feedback from buyers and offers product, pricing, and messaging feedback, competitive intelligence, and sales process feedback. The interviews are great at seeking truth and nuance.

**What do you like best about Growth Velocity?**

Growth Velocity will tell you the objective truth of what your customers think, which can make the difference between your business succeeding or failing. They are easy to work with and have real expertise in the product management and marketing process for technical products. They employ a rigorous, consistent and reliable method to interview customers and prospects unbiasedly. The process is transparent, with an agreed-upon moderator's guide, interview recordings, transcripts, and summaries. Most valuable are working sessions with the client team after conducting interviews to help understand insights and transfer knowledge so your team can develop an effective strategy.

**What do you dislike about Growth Velocity?**

Less dislike, more of a disclosure: Growth Velocity works best when you have a senior internal champion to align the client team on what they want to learn and ensure that your team will listen to, ingest and act on the insights learned from the research. The truth can hurt, and the customer needs to be open and "ready to receive."

**Recommendations to others considering Growth Velocity:**

It's an easy decision to work with Growth Velocity, and I built a long-term relationship with them, partnering with projects across three companies and numerous studies. Innovative, high-value, thorough, reliable and enjoyable to work with. If you care about being genuinely customer-centric in product management, marketing, sales, customer success, etc., you'll wonder how you got along without them.

**What problems is Growth Velocity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Customer (or target audience) interviews and analysis about why customers choose (buying criteria), why qualified opportunities choose or don't choose us (Win-Loss Analysis), how our value proposition and product offering compares to the competition (Competitive Analysis / Comparison), why customers use our product or why they churn (Engagement / Churn / Product Roadmap Prioritization).

**Describe the project or task Growth Velocity helped with:**

We partnered with Growth Velocity to understand why prospects select or do not select our offering.  We get granular and actionable insight into buyers' decision-making process, their experience with our organization, and our technology offering. We hear how and why our competitors were perceived by prospects to get a better understand the market dynamics.

**What do you like best about Growth Velocity?**

The insights we get are detailed, actionable, and well supported with transcripts. We have a tool that enables easy search of findings and allows a large group of users to access the findings on demand. The quarterly share-outs and regular check-ins also ensure good collaboration and information sharing. I see the Growth Velocity team as part of our GTM organization as they bring great insights for us to act on.

**What do you dislike about Growth Velocity?**

Nothing particular. The tool, which hosts the win/loss interviews that the team tags very well for us, takes a bit to get used to. I wish that it would also host all the great analysis slides we received over the last 2 years in that central location. But having the access to years of win/loss interviews in a single place is very helpful.

**Recommendations to others considering Growth Velocity:**

Growth Velocity team learned about our space pretty fast. Make sure to invest time to build a good survey together and review the survey as the needs change.

**What problems is Growth Velocity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The key benefit is getting in depth insights into what is going on in our sales cycles and understanding what our buyers need and expect. Growth Velocity brings us actionable and objective information from the market and helps us shape our GTM strategy and execution. We can become more responsive to the market because we get this critical feedback quickly via Growth Velocity.

**Describe the project or task Growth Velocity helped with:**

We were having a really tough time understanding why a company would churn or why a company would not select us over another QA company that looked to do exactly what we did. 

We needed to hear from our loses and really dig into what was causing a user to churn or just not use us at all. 

Simply put, we lacked visibility  and that was hurting the ROI of our go to market strategy.

**What do you like best about Growth Velocity?**

Willem is an incredibly gifted interviewer. Being able to run a good interview requires a deep knowledge of our platform but also a deep knowledge of the space. Willem takes a ton of time to understand both. 

Not only is he great at interviewing, he is also amazing at keeping every valuable nugget organized and digestible from each interview.

**What do you dislike about Growth Velocity?**

You need to make sure you give Willem good customers to interview. This is probably obvious but some companies just can't give you a ton of valuable insights. Willem is great at asking open ended questions but some people just lack that ability to elaborate in a meaningful way.

**Recommendations to others considering Growth Velocity:**

If you have a over 30 Closed Lost opps and over 20 closed won, I think you will drive a ton of value from Willems findings.

**What problems is Growth Velocity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Some of the most important tasks I do / team does
- Copy Creation 
- Defining ICP 
- Building Targeted lists 
- Prospecting

Having a clear direction for value props and ICP defined by actual customer interviews was a massive help. I can't put enough emphasis on how important it is to spin your cycles on high priority leads, the time savings and peace of mind that comes from knowing all your decisions are backed by complex interviews is a great advantage to have.

**Describe the project or task Growth Velocity helped with:**

We have worked with Willem at Growth Velocity on a series of projects to understand the stages of our customer lifecycle. Why did they need a solution like ours? How did they go about researching various solutions? What were the factors they considered before adopting us? And what were the factors that ultimately led to them either becoming long-term customers or choosing a competitor? 

While we interact with customers often and run NPS surveys a few times throughout the year, these interviews Willem conducted helped us understand the prospective customer mindset in a way we had not understood before.  The analysis from his interviews has been invaluable as we try to close some gaps in our acquisition funnel.

**What do you like best about Growth Velocity?**

Willem is a master at remaining neutral, which I believe sets the customer at ease to give honest feedback, even if it’s painful for us to hear. He was also able to get up to speed on our product and even our competitive landscape to have an in-depth conversation with a customer about our industry. By the time his project was nearing completion, we viewed him as a customer expert and even included him in many projects beyond just his customer research.

**What do you dislike about Growth Velocity?**

I wish we could move faster for Willem’s sake and ours. It takes some time to identify the right customers and find customers willing to share their experiences. None of this is Willem’s fault, but we know how powerful the insights can be, and the hurdles to get started (in our business at least) can be significant. The projects always require more lead time than we anticipate.

**What problems is Growth Velocity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Willem’s insights forced us to make adjustments to our product roadmap. He pointed out that because analytics for mobile crash is integrated earlier in the mobile app lifecycle,  prospective customers often overlooked our primary offering because our crash offering wasn’t up to par. Our product team decided to invest significant resources into our crash offering to capture customers earlier in the lifecycle.   

We have been able to improve our acquisition engine because of the insights Willem has provided. His research helped us refine our Ideal Customer Profile and make it more robust and impactful. He has also helped us identify critical weaknesses customers perceive about our chief competitor (and market leader by a long shot). This has allowed us to reposition our core messaging to address these weaknesses during the awareness and consideration phases. 

Our value proposition is much stronger having worked with Willem at Growth Velocity, and the best part is that we did it with feedback directly from customers.

**Describe the project or task Growth Velocity helped with:**

We were solving for several problems. First, to improve our understanding of why we win and why we lose. So that we can win, and exit earlier, on opportunities that we would otherwise have lost. And to find more of the prospect profiles where we do well, and be more consciously competent in closing those. We've completed that initial win-loss analysis of the bottom of the funnel, and now we’ve engaged Growth Velocity to analyze the top of the funnel and the middle of the funnel. We invest marketing, BDR, and sales resources to engage in a sales cycle with opportunities that we shouldn't invest in because they're not a good fit, and they continuously wash out. And then to understand the rest of the population. What assets, nurturing, etc can we provide to convert more of those or accelerate the conversion of those?

**What do you like best about Growth Velocity?**

There are three things I really like about Growth Velocity. First is Willem’s consultative manner. He’s helped transform the questions or issues we're asking about into: what data should we be looking at, how should we ask the questions, and how should we structure the process for the best outcomes. Second, I really appreciate the insightfulness of the readouts in terms of understanding the patterns and implications of the data, as well as having detailed feedback. And third, his work has given us an independent outside-of-the-organization look at what's going on that eliminates any bias or defensiveness.

**What do you dislike about Growth Velocity?**

I really don't have any complaints here. I wish Willem’s team worked for free and worked solely for us 24 hours a day.

Don't waste too much time evaluating them - pick a project and get started

**What problems is Growth Velocity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We’ve gotten more than the output about our wins and losses that I expected we’d get. We’ve gotten actionable insights that have made an impact throughout the company, not just in sales and marketing, although it started there. We embraced these as insights from an independent source and put them in front of the combined sales and marketing teams. And then in front of our entire CEO staff. And ultimately they were presented to the entire company so that our people could hear this and in a non-defensive manner think, what can I do here? Based on what Willem’s put out, what can my team do? What can our group do? Everybody has wanted to figure out how they can help with these things.
