I use Grid My Business to monitor the local ranking of the Google Businesses I manage. I like that it has multiple options for scanning size and distance, from 3x3 (cheap + suitable for a simple overview) to 15x15 (pricier but much more precise); I have the freedom to get exactly what I want, depending on the need. I also use the monitoring feature to monitor the ranking of selected few Google Businesses, which saved me tons of time doing a new scan daily. The accuracy is pretty decent too. I've compared the ranking in Grid My Business with what I saw in my phone's Google Maps; the ranking will be spot on or in line with real-world results. This gives me the confidence to use it as a benchmark for my clients.
