What I like best about greytHR is how simple it makes everyday HR tasks.
It has definitely improved convenience in my workflow, especially during month-end when I need quick access to payslips or tax-related details.

One thing I dislike about greytHR is that the UI feels a bit outdated and navigation isn’t always smooth.

Sometimes it takes a few extra clicks to find simple things like leave history or past payslips, and the system can feel slightly slow during peak times like month-end. The mobile experience could also be improved, as it’s not always as intuitive as the web version.

greytHR solves the problem of managing everyday HR tasks manually and through back-and-forth communication.

Earlier, things like checking leave balance, applying leave, or getting payslips required reaching out to HR, which could take time. Now everything is self-service—I can mark attendance, track leave, and download payslips instantly.

**What do you like best about greytHR?**

The software is highly intuitive and straightforward, making it easy to access all the necessary information with just a single click. Managing and organizing data for multiple employees is also simple and well-structured.

The integration of other softwares along with GreytHR are made easy and all the required datas are processed from one software to another and no need to copy paste every time you make changes.

The customer support is on point and very helpful especially during the critical stages. They have always come with solutions when required.

All our employees are solely dependant on the GreytHR portal for their payroll and tax break up data and have never heard a single complaint on the portal and most of users frequently use the portal for reimbursement and anything related to payments.

We have Implemented several different workflows and checklists for the ease of use and it works flawlessly and also helps us with less strain and copy paste work.

There isn’t much we dislike about it, but we do wish updates would be released more frequently.

This tool assists with managing payroll and reimbursements, as well as tracking expense claims submitted by employees.

**What do you like best about greytHR?**

Working at Alten as a design engineer and technical documentation specialist, the administrative side of HR payroll queries, leave requests, pay slip access  used to require going through the HR department for almost everything. greytHR changed that dynamic noticeably.
The automation of core HR tasks is where the platform earns its place immediately. Payroll calculation, tax deductions, and pay slip generation all happen automatically without manual intervention. For a large organization like Alten where these processes run across a significant number of employees, the reduction in manual workload and the consistency that automation brings is a practical and visible benefit. The margin for human error on something as sensitive as payroll is also much lower when the process is handled systematically rather than manually.
The Employee Self-Service Portal is the feature used most regularly on a day to day basis. Being able to access pay slips, update personal information, and manage leave requests independently  without raising a ticket or waiting for an HR response saves real time. In a busy engineering and documentation workflow where administrative interruptions break concentration, having that self-sufficiency built into the platform is genuinely appreciated.
What also stands out is how well the platform connects different HR functions together. Attendance tracking, leave management, performance management, and even exit formalities all sit within the same system. At Alten, where project teams move across different assignments and timelines, having all of that in one integrated platform rather than spread across separate tools keeps things organized and easy to reference.
The scalability is worth mentioning too. greytHR clearly works for organizations of different sizes, and at an enterprise level like Alten it holds up well without feeling overcomplicated or under-featured for the scale of the operation.

**What do you dislike about greytHR?**

there are no dealbreakers here. The platform does its job well enough that none of the limitations have come close to making a case for switching. But a few rough edges are worth mentioning honestly.
The user interface is the most obvious one. It is functional and gets the job done, but it feels like it has not kept pace with how modern HR platforms look and feel today. Navigating between sections at Alten occasionally feels a little clunky  not broken, just not as smooth or intuitive as it could be. For a first-time user coming in without training, finding the right section or completing a multi-step task is not always immediately obvious.
The reporting features are another area that feels underdeveloped relative to the rest of the platform. For a design and documentation professional who regularly works with structured data and detailed output, the reporting tools feel a bit basic. Generating customized reports  filtering by specific parameters, formatting output for project or compliance purposes  requires more manual work than it should. The data is there, but getting it out in a useful, tailored format takes more effort than expected.
System speed is an occasional frustration. There are times, particularly during peak usage periods, where the platform responds more slowly than normal. It is not a consistent problem but noticeable enough to mention  especially when accessing pay slips or submitting leave requests during busy periods.
That said, none of these issues meaningfully disrupted daily work at Alten. They are areas where improvement would be welcome, but they sit comfortably in the category of minor inconveniences rather than genuine workflow blockers.

At Alten, the scale of the organization means HR processes touch a large number of employees across different projects and assignments simultaneously. The problems greytHR solves are not small ones  they are the kind that quietly consume significant time and create real risk if not handled consistently.
Payroll complexity is the most critical problem it addresses. Salary processing, tax calculations, and pay slip generation involve a level of detail and accuracy that leaves very little room for error. Before a platform like greytHR, these processes required significant manual effort and oversight. Having them automated means the numbers are processed consistently every cycle without depending on manual input at each stage. For an engineer focused on design and documentation work, knowing that payroll is handled accurately in the background without requiring personal involvement is a genuine relief.
Attendance and leave tracking used to involve a level of manual coordination that added unnecessary friction to an already busy working week. greytHR allows direct logging of time and leave requests through the platform, with balances updated automatically. At Alten where project timelines and resource allocation depend on accurate attendance data, having that information updated in real time rather than consolidated manually at the end of a period makes planning and reporting more reliable.
The Employee Self-Service Portal has noticeably reduced back and forth with the HR department. Downloading tax forms, checking attendance records, updating personal information  these used to require raising a request and waiting for a response. Handling them independently through the portal removes that dependency entirely and keeps focus where it belongs  on the actual work.
Performance and exit management is an area that often gets handled inconsistently in large organizations. greytHR brings structure to goal tracking, performance reviews, and offboarding including final settlements in a way that keeps the process organized and traceable. For a company like Alten where employee movement across projects is regular, having that structure in place reduces the administrative complexity that would otherwise fall on HR teams and managers.
The overall benefit is straightforward. By automating the repetitive and time-sensitive parts of HR operations, greytHR frees up both employees and HR professionals to focus on work that actually requires human judgment and strategic thinking rather than manual data management.

**What do you like best about greytHR?**

I really like the interface of greytHR; that’s probably the main thing for me because it’s simple and easy to use daily. Since I mostly work from home, it’s really convenient that I can directly log in from the portal and mark attendance without needing a biometric system physically.  The home page is also pretty useful because I can quickly see things like attendance status, upcoming holidays, leave balance, and payslip details all in one place. Another feature I use a lot is the request or ticket section because if I face any issue, I can directly raise it through the platform itself instead of following up manually.  I also like that there’s an Engage section where employees can post updates, create polls, or wish someone on birthdays and work anniversaries. It makes the platform feel a little more interactive instead of just being an HR portal.

**What do you dislike about greytHR?**

Well, I don't want greytHR to show all of this on the home page. I mean, I can literally see in one click my payslips and all on the home page. Personally, I feel some sensitive things like salary-related details don’t need to be directly visible on the front page and can instead be managed somewhere inside the sidebar or another section.  Sometimes on mobile, some pages also feel a little slow while loading, especially attendance records and detailed attendance information. Apart from that, I haven’t faced many major issues while using it daily.

**What problems is greytHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use greytHR to log my attendance conveniently from home without needing a physical biometric device, and I can easily view attendance status, upcoming holidays, leave balance, and payslip details all on the homepage.  It basically solves the problem of managing multiple HR-related tasks manually because most things are available in one place itself. I don’t need to contact HR for small things like checking leave balance, downloading payslips, or viewing attendance records.  It’s also helpful while working remotely because I can manage attendance, requests, and company-related information directly from the portal without depending on physical office processes.

I was using greytHR for payroll processing, attendance tracking, and leave management, and I found it managed employee data, payslips, PF, and ESI efficiently. I appreciate how it streamlined attendance regularization and payroll runs with minimal efforts. It significantly reduced manual efforts in payroll and attendance management, which used to be time-consuming and error-prone when done manually in Excel. I love that everything is streamlined in one place, solving issues related to regularization, payroll accuracy, and compliance, like PF, ESI, and TDS. With greytHR, I can process payroll smoothly and control last-minute issues. The payroll and attendance management features are simple to use and structured so that once the data is updated, payroll processing is smooth with very little manual intervention. GreytHR provides clarity, time efficiency, control dependency, and reduces manual follow-ups. I find the data and reports very useful, especially in payroll validation and audits, allowing me to see data quickly without depending on other resources. Managing the employee lifecycle in one place, from onboarding to exit formalities, is also a significant benefit. I have better visibility and control when handling multiple employees, avoiding missing data.

**What do you dislike about greytHR?**

They could improve the UI and user experience. The navigation is not friendly and it takes multiple steps to access certain reports. The report customization and workflows can be better. Sometimes we need to rely on external trackers. The support and resolution time is delayed sometimes. The UI and navigation can be improved to make the entire experience intuitive. Not all the features are accessible easily and we have to click multiple times to access sections like report, payroll inputs, and attendance data. The layout can be improved as it feels slightly cluttered in a few sections and it's harder to identify while doing sensitive activities like payroll.

**What do you like best about greytHR?**

The best thing I like in GreyHR is that you can apply for regularization of attendance very easily. You can also see the allocation of paid leaves and sick leaves. On top of that, you can swipe to sign in for attendance, plan your leave there, and request manager approval, which is very quick.

**What do you dislike about greytHR?**

Sometimes the page loading isn’t fast; it takes some time to load. Also, at times it says that my swipes are not visible.

It solves my problems, like planning leave, applying for it, and regularizing my attendance. It also sends notifications if I miss something. It gives me my salary breakdown, including any deductions, and I can easily download my payslips.

I like greytHR's payroll accuracy and the peace of mind it gives me regarding compliance. It automatically calculates complex statutory deadlines like PF, ESI, and TDS and updates whenever labor laws change, so I never have to worry about missing a deadline or filing incorrectly. I also appreciate how everything runs on autopilot, while still allowing me full control when needed. The payroll accuracy means zero calculation mistakes and no employee disputes, and the compliance management ensures I never miss a deadline or pay a penalty, turning payroll from a weekly headache into a five-minute task.

**What do you dislike about greytHR?**

The mobile app still feels clunky and limited compared to the desktop version; basic approvals or quick edits often require me to switch back to the laptop. The interface can be slow to load during peak hours, and some settings are buried under unintuitive menus. The recent new UI on desktop is slow and sloppy, and main menus such as the employee list are too small compared to other elements. They really need to focus on what matters the most; every time I am not going to read the guide, but a full employee list on one page will give me a good glance and save a next click. Offline access and more settings and control in the mobile app will do great.

The Only Problem i face is Regarding the Attendance Sync Issue, there are atleast one or two case in a month where the greythr dosent Sync the Biometric and Mobile Swipes Properly With the Musteroll, Marking them Absent instead of present, creating Uncertainity between the Employees about their Attendance

The best thing I like about greytHR is how it streamlines monthly payroll runs and cuts down manual effort with solid automation. Employees can handle payslips and leave requests on their own through the self-service portal, which is super convenient and saves HR time. The reliability for small to mid-size businesses makes daily operations feel practical and efficient.

The UI feels a bit cluttered when you're first poking around, all the options take some getting used to. The mobile app isn't as smooth as I'd like for quick checks on the go. Still, doesn't take away from the core stuff working well.

GreytHR fixes the nightmare of doing payroll by hand every month, tracking attendance, and juggling employee records. The YTD report feature of greytHR is the best feature of all and I access it a lot and also like it a lot.

The login should me more seamless and faster in greytHR as many times, while logging in, it takes longer time and asks for password authentication, which should be made more faster login and this slow login feature is the thing which I don't like much.

GreytHR is solving the problem of human management with offering a comprehensive platform where access of salary reports, applying leave, accessing IT statements, getting visibility of leave balance, birthday information of employees, access of YTD reports, many impactful HR features are available at one click within the platform and hence greytHR is solving problem of effective management of human resources of an organisation.

**What do you like best about greytHR?**

The interface is very user friendly and I don't need to spend much time with employees teaching them how to use the Greythr app. It is quite self-explanatory when it comes to applying for leaves, checking daily attendance and downloading payslips. Also, the admin version of the app which I use as an HR manager is efficient and makes my daily operations work much easier. It gives me all the consolidated data of employee's attendances, late comings and also automatically deducts the salary on their payslip if I put half-day for an employee when they are late to work.

**What do you dislike about greytHR?**

The server sometimes hangs up which causes the app to logout automatically. This is a bit of a hassle as all the employees then need to log back into the app every time they want to use it. It doesn't stay automatically logged in.

**What problems is greytHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We sued to keep track of all the data of our 25 employees on excel manually and literally on physical paper handwritten before Greythr. It helps us to keep all the employee records and data at one place. It has also made tracking of leaves, daily attendance, late comings much simpler and it saves us a lot of mental work and time. So, I can definitely say that it has increased our productivity by automating all the HR operation tasks.

Initially we are completely reliant on the human workforce to manage the payrolls and the attendance system in our org, which has cost us and also involved in human errors. GreytHR is a great application, and I find it better than other HR applications. I can view my leave balance, apply for leave, and check my payroll details, which makes it very convenient.

I appreciate how greytHR offers ease of use and understanding, making it simple to navigate and utilize for various HR operations such as attendance, leave balance, employee details, and onboarding. The process for enrolling new employees or adding them is straightforward and efficient, which greatly enhances administrative efficiency. Additionally, the simplicity and functionality of greytHR were significant factors in switching from our previous software, Zimyo. These attributes collectively contribute to my high likelihood of recommending greytHR to others.

**What do you dislike about greytHR?**

I find the user interface of greytHR can be improved. There are instances where many features are buried within menus, making it challenging to find specific functions. Additionally, the advanced admin access can be confusing, particularly when it comes to editing rules. Although I haven't personally tried managing these features, observing their usage indicates their complexity.

I use greytHR for attendance, leave balance, and employee onboarding. It eases HR operations with its user-friendly interface and excellent functionality, though attendance notifications could be timelier.

I especially appreciate the automation of payroll—it has saved me hours of manual work each month and significantly reduced calculation errors. Their mobile app is also a big plus, letting me approve leave requests, check payslips, and track attendance on the go without needing to log in from a computer.

While the platform is great overall, I’ve noticed that report customization and advanced filtering could be more flexible. For example, when I want very specific data views, I sometimes have to export and manually adjust them outside the system. Adding more options for real-time filtering and custom report templates would make the tool even more powerful.

Customer support is also up to the mark.
