Their customer service is outstanding, and they respond to my requests immediately. The cost is excellent value, as the fees are very reasonable for the quality provided. They save me a lot of time because I don't have to be a technology expert; they make everything easy for me. The initial setup was simple, as they guided me through each step, virtually holding my hand. **What do you dislike about GreenGeeks?** So far, I have nothing to dislike. **What problems is GreenGeeks solving and how is that benefiting you?** GreenGeeks makes hosting easy without needing technical expertise, offers excellent performance with fast page loads, and provides outstanding customer service. Decent Service, until you try to leave **Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2024 **What do you like best about GreenGeeks?** 97% of the time, the hosting worked OK, uses standard cpanel install **What do you dislike about GreenGeeks?** - Sites would experience unexpected downtime and crashes. - Despite selling "wordpress" plans, they refuse to support database errors even if you hadn't touched your sites for months and it's clear the problem is on their end. - The biggest shafting is what you get at the very end when your term is up. Price goes up 3.5x what you originally paid 3 years ago AND THEY DISABLE BACKUPS, keeping you from leaving. They claim "unlimited storage" for the service but concocted a rule that said backups are disabled over 10GB and refused to enable it. And my account was below 8GB! They are shady and conniving enough to motivate me to write this long rant. Stay away. These guys aren't even good at business. Their dirty tactics motivated me to write this review AND it will cost them way more to acquire a new customer than to sign an old one up at a discounted rate. Their customer support is excellent, and their dashboard makes it easy to use and implement. They also have one of the high-paid affiliate programs in the market. **What do you dislike about GreenGeeks?** They do provide some great offers when we are starting, but their price increases after using it for the initial years. **What problems is GreenGeeks solving and how is that benefiting you?** They have one of the fastest servers out their, which makes our website load pretty faster. If you're just starting out with your website, you can get a reliable host for a great price. There customer support is amazing and I have not had any issues in the past. **What do you dislike about GreenGeeks?** If you're scaling, suddenly the amount you have to pay is going to be very high. And you can get a higher plan from a better service provider such as Cloudways. **What problems is GreenGeeks solving and how is that benefiting you?** I wanted a cheap but reliable host to get started with WordPress. For that purpose, GreenGeeks hosting was great. Initially, I had multiple sites in the same account, including a WooCommerce website. They allowed me to keep it for a long time without limiting the resources. ### 6. They recently removed it. It was not all their fault, based on the price changes by cpanel which is 3rd party server management software. **What problems is GreenGeeks solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use greengeeks for a shared hosting solution for most of my clients. Easy to use, solid pricing and phone support for my clients. ### 10. Every time I have needed support I have received nearly instant response from the chat agent. The bandwith and resource allocation work great for most sites using wordpress and drupal. Email setup through cpanel works great and is really nice to have unlimited storage on the primary domain on my reseller account. **What do you dislike about GreenGeeks?** The firewall and IP blocking rules are a little strict for shared and reseller hosting. One of my clients needed to access their web app simultaneously with about 12-15 users. There was no performance issues with the hosting, but the firewall kept blocking their ip address. Greengeeks was not able to lift this rule for this client on reseller hosting. I noticed that on the new plans for reseller hosting they have changed from limited storage space and unlimited cpanel accounts to a new model. The new model allows for unlimited storage space but the plan pricing is based on number of cpanel accounts. I don't forsee any issues with this model for things like prototyping, but I believe it will increase costs for the reseller as new clients come on board. **Recommendations to others considering GreenGeeks:** Reseller hosting is the best by far I've used when compared to A2 hosting and hostgator. **What problems is GreenGeeks solving and how is that benefiting you?** Instant cpanel creation for prototyping websites and web apps. I'm able to have nearly unlimited projects in different stages of development with reseller hosting. We have been using email through the reseller hosting for our company, as well as some of our clients.
