**Reviewed by:** rohan k. | manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Grammarly?**

I have been using Grammarly for almost three years primarily to improve my professional skills and to detect and correct grammatical errors in my writing. I initially discovered Grammarly through a YouTube ad and found the trial period very useful, which led me to purchase a subscription because of its substantial value. I appreciated how easy it was to set up and utilize, thanks to its smooth and user-friendly interface. ### 7. Valuable Writing Assistant, Needs Better Integration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Grammarly?**

I like that Grammarly allows you to change the tone and gives you suggestions without overriding your own language or style. The initial setup was very easy.

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

Sometimes I struggle with having it integrate with my app/programs across other platforms. With the desktop app, it is unclear when it will work within one of my programs such as Microsoft Office or Outlook email. The widget needs a function where you can hide it and still be able to use the Grammarly functions.

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Grammarly handles edits for me after revisions, lets me change tone, and provides suggestions without altering my language or style.

  ### 8. Seamless Web Integration with Ease

  ### 10. Powerful AI Tools and Insights That Elevate Writing

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Erin C. | Creative Copywriter, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 26, 2025

**What do you like best about Grammarly?**

I like the AI/plagiarism checker. I use the word count and rewrite features often. I like that they send weekly insights and keep track of how many words and the emotions behind what you write.

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

The price is a little steep. I didn’t cancel my free trial fast enough. When I contacted them to try and get a refund and said that I would have paid the new deal of 50%off, they gave me the 50% discount. They DONT DO REFUNDS, so I was happy with what I received.

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When I use my lap top, it doesn’t add punctuation or auto correct misspelled words. This is where Grammarly comes in. It makes it really fast an easy getting my writings ready to publish.

  ### 11. Cool tool, but can still be super buggy

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eleanor B. | Administrative Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 01, 2024

**What do you like best about Grammarly?**

I still enjoy and use the sentence structure help. I still like that there's an easy way to turn off Grammarly for some writing sessions.

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

Grammarly can still be buggy. Often I will change a sentence per their edit, but then it will prompt me to re-write it *again* which is a bit maddening. The robots can't make up their mind.

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It definitely catches misspelled words and proper grammar mistakes effectively. I also like the AI function if I find a sentence I wrote a bit jumbly and would like it cleaned up.

**Official Response from Natalia K:**

> Hi Eleanor,

Thank you for sharing your honest feedback. We really appreciate you taking the time to explain both what’s working well and what’s been frustrating.

We understand we may not always be 100% accurate, as there are limitations to what a program can do. However, rest assured, we're always learning, and our team is open to feedback from our users on how we can improve our product.

If you stumble upon a suggestion from Grammarly that feels off, please send us an example at https://gram.ly/47tlPic so we can have a team member take a closer look. Alternatively, you can click "Dismiss" or the trash can icon, which helps our algorithm learn over time.

  ### 16. I Love Grammarly

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John W. | Conference President of the Pilgrim Holiness Church of New York, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Grammarly?**

I used the free version for a while. I really like the benefits of the free version. However, I upgraded to the paid plan. I love the help it gives you when writing and in correcting documents sent to me. I use it for all of our Church Conference communications and for our Church Conference bi-monthly Magazine. Grammarly is easy to use and implement in my work day. I love the number of features that it gives.

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

Sometimes I want to use a word several times in a paragraph to emphasize it. The constant suggestion to change the word can be frustrating at times.

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Grammarly gives me the confidence to produce a great-sounding document or magazine. I think the suggestion to reword a paragraph to improve its sound is helpful.

I like Grammarly because it's so easy to use for my NICE of Columbus correspondence on a weekly basis. The system helps me write good grammar sentences and offers a clear message to my counsel. **Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Grammarly?**

I use Grammarly mostly for work, and I love that it's easy to understand and mostly catches corrections. It's a better spell checker than what is in Google/Word and helps with the tone in my work.

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Grammarly as a better spell checker and to help with tone in my work. I love that it's easy to understand and mostly catches corrections.

  ### 19. Very Innovative product for the time and still relavant but became pay to use recently

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** MOHD S. | student, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Grammarly?**

Its one of the first of its kind software i have used initially i had only autocorrect then i installed grammarly on phone and suprisingly it was very easy to setup it also integrated with my keyboard and basically any textbox i am using. This made me use it almost daily to write my mails and assignments it also had alot of features for a simple application such as tone correction etc which i didnt think was possible until chatgpt its very realiable and can be used for almost anytype of use.

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

Well in the current context i think grammarly has made alot of their basic feature part of their premium plan which defeats the purpose of offering it to school and college students, an earning individual doesnt really heavily rely on grammarly.

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Its makes interacting with the digital world in english very easy and convenient since english is not my first language grammarly had made me very confident in communicating in english with virually anyone online i can write quality mails, i can express my thoughts online without being mocked and i can even correct my tone in which i am writing for particular ocasion so as to not hurt any sentiments. I can even negotiate in english for better deals.

  ### 20. Correct mistakes for clear texts

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** KOSTIANTYN S. | Creative Copywriter, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Grammarly?**

When you have to write texts from a spoken source or translate from one language to another, mistakes are more likely to be made. Even if a person has learned the language by using it every day, this is not a guarantee that they will not make spelling mistakes. That's because memory gives the spelling as it is, without checking, especially if the person is not a native speaker of the language they are translating into.
The latter is the responsibility of Grammarly, as it sorts misspelled words and structures into categories and provides a summary of the number of errors in the text. Then, in the right pane, the user can correct them with one click. The advantage is that the service offers spelling options even if the initial one was wrong. So, the final text

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

Functions came with AI, and get more in-depth understanding of texts, are still paid. So, if to use any others AI-tools, it needs to choose what is the main for the budget.

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Grammarly proofreads texts to improve spelling and correct mistakes. It is a thing required if the text is for a foreign audience.

  ### 21. User-Friendly Yet Inconsistent Suggestions

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hiraj L. | Media and Celebrity Projects Assistant, Public Relations and Communications, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Grammarly?**

I find Grammarly very easy to work with, especially the suggestions it provides. It boosts my confidence in the words I use, making me sound more confident. I also appreciate its ease of use and the simplicity of its installation process, which takes just a few minutes. Once installed, it integrates seamlessly with Word, allowing me to review and correct my text effortlessly in one go, and I can choose whether to accept the changes or not. Additionally, Grammarly is user-friendly, with an option to use it directly online by uploading documents for immediate editing. Overall, it's very accessible and quick to set up.

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

One thing that does not work well with Grammarly is that there are times when it would suggest alternate sentences or changes like using an n dash, m dash, or comma. When I accept these changes, Grammarly will often provide another alternative, creating a loop where it goes back to the previous suggestion or keeps suggesting and resuggesting the same change again and again. It feels like a tug of war and requires me to look at changes multiple times. If this could be fixed, it would be great.

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Grammarly to help with punctuation, especially with commas, and to restructure wording since English is not my first language. It assists in drafting content and letters better.

  ### 22. Great Writing Aid, But Recent Updates Complicate Corrections

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Parit K. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Grammarly?**

Grammarly is one of the best platforms for everyone because it can be easily integrated into any system or smartphone. The best part is that it helps me improve my writing skills in my daily work at the company. When I have to work on an FRS document, Grammarly helps me organize it properly and suggests corrections for any syntax mistakes I make.

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

When I’m writing and make a grammar or spelling mistake, Grammarly suggests the correction. Earlier, I could just click to fix it directly, but now it doesn’t update automatically. Instead, I have to open a popup and then apply the update, which makes the process a bit complicated for me.

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Grammarly currently helps me with my daily work at my company. For example, when I’m working on tasks like FRS documents or making modifications, it provides suggestions for my paragraphs and wording. It also helps me catch spelling and grammar mistakes, or any other writing issues. When I submit my work for review by senior team members, Grammarly helps improve the quality of my writing and saves me time by reducing the need to verify my document through other tools—everything is handled directly through the Grammarly extension.

  ### 23. Essential Writing Assistant with Powerful AI Features

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anjaly T. | Market Research Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Grammarly?**

What I like best about Grammarly is how it helps improve my writing by checking spelling, grammar, punctuation, and tone. I also like its suggestions for better words, plagiarism check, and the overall score that helps me evaluate my content. The generative AI feature is also very helpful for improving and rewriting content quickly.

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

The only downside I’ve noticed is that the AI features have a limit in the free version. To get unlimited AI assistance, you need the premium plan. Other than that, Grammarly works really well.

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Grammarly solves the problem of errors and unclear writing. It helps me write correctly, check grammar and punctuation, improve tone, find better word choices, and even rewrite content using AI, which makes my writing clearer and more professional.

  ### 24. Revolutionized My Writing with Intuitive Corrections

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mohak K. | Software Engineer 1, Computer Software, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Grammarly?**

I like Grammarly's real-time sentence rewrite and tone detection most, as they transform my clunky drafts into clear text. The suggestions make writing feel intuitive and professional without constant second guessing. I also appreciate its plagiarism checker and generative AI features, as they ensure originality in technical documents and offer fresh ideas for complex explanations.

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

I dislike that Grammarly occasionally overcorrects stylistic choices and misses context-specific nuances, which frustrates me when writing technical documents. Specific areas that need improvement are its recognition of technical terminology, its tendency to overcorrect structured text, and its nuance detection for tone and styles.

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Grammarly for real-time grammar, spelling, and style corrections in emails and documents, ensuring clarity and professionalism. It solves issues like typos, grammar slips, clarity, tone mismatches, and makes writing feel intuitive and professional.

  ### 25. Grammarly as a working and learning tool

I'm using it on my daily work routine and it help me to polish the way I write and communicate with my teammates and leadership. It helps me to sound more professional and to make less to no mistakes.

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

Sometimes I intentionally write stuff in a more friendly way intentionally missing commas or with a structure that is not grammar correct and even after I dismiss the suggestion it keeps trying to fix the text.

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me to avoid spelling mistakes and to sound more professional and polite at work. Also it helps me to learn English while writing and checking some word/sentence connection mistakes.

  ### 26. Great Writing assistant for daily business use

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Karan K. | Software Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Grammarly?**

I use Grammarly both as a browser extension and as a Windows app, and it works like a charm. What I like most is that it highlights my grammatical errors as I type, which saves me time since I used to check for mistakes only after finishing my content. Its integration with Slack and Microsoft Teams is also excellent. Now, I don't have to worry about grammatical errors in any formal messages I send to my superiors on Slack.

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

The only thing that I find a bit annoying is that it sometimes makes my informal or casual messages sound too formal.

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I sometimes work as a software developer and also take on freelance projects. When I draft emails or communicate with clients and superiors at work, Grammarly proves to be very useful. ### 27. Excellent Features and Support, But Pro Version Is Pricey

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paril T. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Grammarly?**

I use Grammarly extensively and really appreciate its features. It’s easy to use and simple to integrate into any system through its extension. Grammarly helps me work more effectively and accurately in my company tasks. It integrates smoothly with both Windows and Mac systems, allowing you to easily identify syntax errors and correct specific words through its website or extension. Additionally, its step-by-step guidance and responsive customer support have been very helpful for me.

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

I dislike a few things about Grammarly. The free version is very limited, and the premium version is quite expensive. For example, when I check a whole paragraph, the free version only allows one or two corrections. But when I actually need it, the limit has already expired, which makes things difficult for me. Sometimes, the extension also doesn’t work properly — it shows the correct suggestion at first, but when I click to apply it, nothing gets updated.

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Grammarly helps me improve my grammar skills and solve related problems. When I create documents or write any content, it helps me identify errors in words or syntax one by one and suggests corrections. This makes my work more effective and improves the quality and presentation of my documents. Using Grammarly in my company work saves me time in identifying mistakes in text or documents and increases the accuracy of my tasks.

Some suggestions must be checked manually in order to fit a particular business context. The advanced functionality is not readily available on the lower plans. It might not adjust entirely to industry-specific jargon. The tool is internet-dependent for its full functionality to be achieved. The above constraints are not used to undermine its usefulness in a working context.

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

It sometimes struggles with context awareness, specifically in small communications and where more industry-specific nuanced jargons or terminologies are used. Also sometimes, the suggestions given on the pretext of the emails are usually way off and there is no clarity given on the reasoning of those suggestions.

  ### 42. Real-Time Feedback Boosts Writing Confidence

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Apna K. | Computer , Computer Networking, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Grammarly?**

I use Grammarly for polishing emails, making them sound professional or friendly. I love how it catches grammar and punctuation mistakes, like misplaced commas or subject-verb agreement errors. It’s like having a second set of eyes. I appreciate the real-time suggestions, which are like having a co-pilot as I write. It points out errors as I go, so I can correct them on the spot, improving my writing flow and efficiency. This real-time feedback acts almost like a 'pre-proofreading' process, reducing the need for endless revisions. The initial setup of Grammarly is super straightforward, which is another reason why many people find it easy to get started.

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

Sometimes, Grammarly can miss the mark when it comes to context. For example, when using industry-specific terms or a more casual, conversational tone, it might flag something as incorrect when it's actually fine in that particular context. Also, while Grammarly does a good job of detecting the tone of your writing, sometimes the suggestions for adjusting tone feel a bit generic. It might not always capture the specific vibe you want, like aiming for a friendly but professional tone. More granular adjustments, where it could learn from your past writing style or mimic your voice better, would be great.

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Grammarly for polishing emails, making them sound professional or friendly. It catches grammar and punctuation mistakes, acting like a second set of eyes. The real-time suggestions help me correct errors instantly, making writing more efficient and reducing the need for revisions.

It acts like a teacher by suggesting the correct word and providing explanations. Because of this feature, I don't make any grammatical mistakes and can confidently connect with others in English or any other language via email or chat. Grammarly also helps improve my written and verbal skills.

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

The free version of Grammarly has limited features, and a premium subscription is required to take advantage of all features. It is not accurate for some Indian languages like Tamil or Kannada. Additionally, the customer service team takes several days to respond to issues.

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using Grammarly saves me time during proofreading and boosts my confidence before sending or submitting any written content. It works smoothly with tools like Google Docs, Microsoft Word, and email platforms, maintaining consistent writing quality across different platforms.

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

One thing that could be improved is the cost of the Premium plan, as many useful features are locked behind it. Sometimes Grammarly also suggests changes that don’t fit the context, especially for technical terms, names, or intentional writing styles. The browser extension can feel slightly slow on long documents, and occasionally it repeats suggestions that aren’t necessary.

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Grammarly to check grammar, sentence clarity, and spelling. It helps correct mistakes in real-time, improves sentence structure and tone, and saves time on proofreading. It avoids grammar errors, enhances clarity, and ensures professional tone, increasing my writing confidence.

  ### 49. Essential Tool for Non-Native English Speakers

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brijesh U. | Marketing Specialist, Internet, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Grammarly?**

I like how I don't need to copy and paste the entire sentence to grammar and tone check. Grammarly sits right above the text box as a floating widget and corrects me every time I make a mistake. It's really helpful as a non-English speaker because it ensures that I use written communication effectively, framing sentences in a way that others, including English speakers, can understand the tone I want to convey. The initial setup was easy too, just install an app.

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

Sometimes the widget fails to appear, but this is very rare. Apart from that, I would like a feature which takes text input like ChatGPT so that I can ask Grammarly what to do with the sentence.

**Reviewed Date:** January 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Grammarly?**

I really appreciate how it integrates seamlessly with my browser and becomes a natural part of nearly everything I do online. I also value the convenience of being able to cut and paste my writing for review. I have also used it to review others' writing that I am evaluating, and being able to use its features in that way has been an important part of my work.

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

I've experienced problems with it being removed from my browser or platform, which means I have to reconnect it each time. This issue has occurred often, especially when using Word.

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am a very fast typist and frequently overlook simple mistakes in my own writing. While I am usually an excellent proofreader when reviewing others' work, I tend to be less diligent with my own. Grammarly has helped me catch these errors and has improved the quality of my writing overall. I also notice that I often adjust my writing style based on the suggestions Grammarly has made in my previous work.
