I wasn't looking for anything fancy, so to me, the most important thing is that Grain's transcription quality is good compared to the other tools I tested. It is surprisingly accurate in multiple languages. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I was very disappointed when they eliminated the option to add non-recorder users. This was one of the reasons why we chose Grain and now we'd need to pay for a whole additional seat for colleauges that only are going to view videos and check highlights. Certain aspects of the interface and adding highlights to stories can be clunky. UPDATE: It was incredibly frustrating to find that, upon downgrading our subscription, we were locked out of our own meetings/recordings. I work at another SaaS and, no matter what plan our customers are on, we believe that they are always the owners and in control of their own data and content. It's just wild to me that a tool would lock you out of the content you have created. I told them I was planning on deleting the account and wanted to export my recordings beforehand, and Grain said I had to pay for a whole month of a superior plan first in order to export MY OWN meeting transcripts.
