"A solid observability tool that keeps getting better"
5/5
What do you like best about Grafana Labs?

Grafana makes it really easy to visualize metrics and logs from different sources in one place. I like how flexible it is you can connect Prometheus, Loki, and even cloud services without much hassle. The dashboards look clean, and you can customize them quite a bit. I also appreciate the alerting features and the fact that the open-source version still gives you a lot of power. Their documentation and community are also great when you need help Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Grafana Labs?

Some of the more advanced features can be hard to figure out at first, especially if you're new to observability tools. Managing a lot of dashboards can get tricky unless you're very organized from the start. Also, some useful features like team management and reporting are only available in the paid plans, which might be a limitation for smaller teams or personal projects. What do you like best about Grafana Labs?

Grafana is our go-to tool for monitoring application logs and errors, both during development and in live production environments. It is straightforward to use and was simple to implement, thanks to its seamless integration with the tools connected to our application backend. We rely on it daily to identify errors that aren't apparent from the frontend. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Grafana Labs?

While Grafana is excellent overall, managing permissions and fine-tuning user access across multiple dashboards can require some initial configuration. "A Disappointing Experience with Grafana Labs"
0/5
What do you like best about Grafana Labs?

The concept behind Grafana’s platform is promising—visually appealing dashboards, broad integrations, and the possibility to monitor metrics all in one place.

However, our overall experience turned out to be very disappointing.

Despite only testing Grafana Cloud’s Prometheus service for a short time—and encountering immediate limits that prevented any real functionality—we were billed thousands of dollars with no clear explanation or help.

Attempts to resolve the issue were met with minimal cooperation and opaque justifications that left us feeling let down rather than supported. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Grafana Labs?

Our company’s experience with Grafana Labs has been extremely disappointing and frustrating. We briefly tested Grafana Cloud’s Prometheus service—at most for an hour—and encountered immediate technical limits (remote write cap and rate limits). Despite those limits preventing a successful setup, Grafana still billed us thousands of dollars (over $4,000) for alleged “usage” we can’t verify.

When we requested a detailed breakdown (such as which metrics or IP addresses were involved), Grafana’s support team could only repeat that they saw a large volume of data hitting their cloud, insisting it was our fault without giving concrete evidence.

Their attempts at resolution were minimal at best—offering small partial refunds on a huge invoice—and pointedly ignored our contention that the usage data they claimed to have seen was inconsistent with our actual test.

Even after explaining that we never got the service fully working and canceled in fear of racking up more charges, Grafana was unwilling to provide a fair or transparent resolution.

If you’re looking for a cloud solution that stands behind clear pricing, customer-friendly policies, and helpful support, our experience shows Grafana Labs doesn’t meet those standards.

We ended up paying an unjustifiably high bill for a failed test and received almost no cooperation in understanding or rectifying the situation.

It felt like a money grab rather than genuine customer support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Amazingly easy to use and visually appealing"
5/5
What do you like best about Grafana Labs?

We are using Grafana to build visualizations for many types of data on our systems. The basic usage is of course DevOps DevOps-related graphs and visuals, but we are also using it to display line of business data dashboards. Grafana is easy to set up, easy to use, and produces high-quality graphs and dashboards. Its ability to connect to multiple data sources is an important feature, as well as the ability to extend it using external plug-ins. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Grafana Labs?

What I find less appealing is the pricing of the enterprise version and the fact that some important plugins are only available on the enterprise or cloud versions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
