"Solid Platform for Government Market Intelligence"
4/5
What do you like best about GovSpend?

The depth of procurement data is what stands out most. Being able to see historical purchase orders down to the line item, alongside active bids and contract information, gives you a much more complete picture of what agencies are actually buying rather than just what they say they're buying. The platform is also surprisingly easy to navigate given how much data it pulls together. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GovSpend?

There is a bit of a learning curve when it comes to building effective searches. The platform has a lot of capability, but getting your filters and saved searches dialed in takes some trial and error upfront. Better onboarding resources or guided setup would help new users get to value faster. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Saves Time with Efficient RFP Analysis"
5/5
What do you like best about GovSpend?

I like using GovSpend for researching existing and expiring contracts, which is very helpful. The tool is great for finding RFPs to bid on, and the AI tool makes the RFP review process quicker. I especially appreciate that it saves me hours per RFP to figure out if the opportunity is a good fit for us. The competitive analysis feature is also valuable. The initial setup of GovSpend was easy, and I appreciate having a good customer success manager. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GovSpend?

Narrowing down the RFP keywords to find exactly what I want in my daily digest can take a few attempts before filtering out noise. We sometimes get some RFPs that have nothing to do with the keywords we inputted. We started using 'exclude keywords,' but that means I have to update it every time I see something irrelevant. "Fast, Clear Visibility into Government Spending Data"
4.5/5
What do you like best about GovSpend?

GovSpend gives our team clear visibility into government spending data without having to dig through dozens of state and local portals. The biggest value for us is speed. Instead of manually searching individual procurement sites, we can quickly identify who is buying, what they are buying, how much they are spending, and which vendors are winning.

The filtering capabilities are solid. We can narrow by vendor, agency, state, contract amount, and time frame, which makes territory planning and account research much more efficient. It is especially helpful for:

1. Identifying net-new prospects based on actual spend behavior

2. Tracking incumbent vendors and competitive activity

3. Understanding historical contract values before outreach

4. Preparing for renewal or rebid conversations

The data helps our sales team go into conversations informed, not guessing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GovSpend?

Like most large data platforms, there’s a learning curve at the beginning. New users need a bit of time to learn how to filter correctly and interpret what they’re seeing, and some records also require additional context. If you’re making strategic decisions based on a specific contract line, you may need to validate the details directly with the agency.

It’s also not a replacement for a CRM or a relationship-building strategy. It’s a data tool, and it works best when it’s paired with a clear sales process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Insightful Tool with Strong Support, Room for UI Improvement"
4/5
What do you like best about GovSpend?

I like the support that GovSpend provides. They offer a concierge, an individual we can talk to for improving our search results, using the tool better, and gathering additional information. It's really helpful to have a partner and somebody who can help you out, especially when being onboarded with a new tool. The initial setup was very easy. They give us a trial period, making it easy to jump right in once we had an account. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GovSpend?

The platform is sometimes a little unintuitive. Some of the search criteria, navigating between tabs, and organizing data is not super intuitive and easy to understand. It takes a little bit of effort to consolidate multiple searches into a single project. Although they are making improvements daily, it can still be a bit challenging. There are also gaps in the data available and while they do support you in getting that missing data, that can sometimes be too slow for my workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient Filtering and Saved Searches with GovSpend"
5/5
What do you like best about GovSpend?

I love the fact that you can create a saved search in GovSpend and revisit it each time you log in rather than having to start all over again. With the saved search, it creates the report, so when I log in, all I have to do is just click it and it pulls up exactly what I'm looking for, whether it's in the public sector or federal space without commingling. GovSpend's filtering feature helps narrow down exactly what I'm looking for rather than providing generic accounts to filter through manually. Additionally, the setup was relatively easy, as I did not need assistance from anybody else. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GovSpend?

I wish there was a way that it will not just pull every key search along with once I receive an RP. I wish there was an easier way to clear that off my system so I'm not receiving a daily reminder. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about GovSpend?

I really like the AI features and the breadth of knowledge that GovSpend offers. It's been helpful in finding out where my customers' current needs are for IT and where they're looking to be in the future. This has allowed me to meet a number of new customers. I also found the initial setup to be very easy to roll out. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GovSpend?

Ease of use to begin. Had to have 3 training sessions to really understand how beneficial the tools are Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Empowers Bidding Insights and Competitor Analysis"
5/5
What do you like best about GovSpend?

I like that GovSpend lets us easily search for potential bids based on keywords, making it convenient to find relevant opportunities. I also appreciate the competitor analysis feature, which provides insight into what and who our competitors are selling to, and helps us understand their customer base. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GovSpend?

No matter how much we fine-tune our saved searches, there seems to be a lot of irrelevant bids that make their way into our saved searches. It would be nice if the new AI features got implemented into that to kind of make results more relevant to what we go after. If there was just a checkbox that says 'this is relevant to me' or 'this is not relevant to me' and have an AI automatically filter results based on that so that it shows us less bids that we would not even go after, it would be perfect. Or if the AI asked why it wasn't relevant to us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient RFP Tracking with Powerful Filters"
4/5
What do you like best about GovSpend?

I use GovSpend to prospect in my territory, and it helps me stay updated on what RFPs are available and what my customers are buying. GovSpend sends me a daily digest of new RFPs, keeping these opportunities at the forefront of my inbox and mind. I like the rich set of features, especially the intelligent filters, which assist me in searching and identifying specific accounts to work with in my expansive territory. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GovSpend?

The daily emails could be more tailored to my accounts. My territory has a specific enrollment size, and it pulls all accounts within the territory, so there are a number of false positives. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Comprehensive Public Sector RFP Insights in One Place"
4.5/5
What do you like best about GovSpend?

There is comprehensive information available on RFPs related to public sector organizations. It’s definitely a very good place to check if an organization or an individual wants to learn more about procurement-related opportunities associated with public sector entities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GovSpend?

One thing that could be improved is that previous search strings still remain in the search box, so I have to clear or reset it before starting a new search. Another helpful enhancement would be to include vendor information once an opportunity is closed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortlessly Streamlined Research with GovSpend"
5/5
What do you like best about GovSpend?

I like using GovSpend to consolidate all the information I'm looking for quickly and organized, which saves me tons of time. I really appreciate being able to filter my search results to my specific territory. The meeting intelligence feature is also a big plus for me; it allows me to keyword search specific terms and jump straight to that part of the meeting, saving me 5-10 hours a week of just listening. The initial setup was very easy and user-friendly, requiring not much training. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GovSpend?

Sometimes the items listed on purchases or POs are very vague and not detailed with brands or models. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
