The quality I liked most about GoToTraining was the ease of use to add questions to registration, polls, and run different types of reports. Also, more options and features were available after they did the most recent update. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The most significant downside I experienced when using GoToTraining was that it was very glitchy when logging into my GoTo account and would inconsistently start meetings. I would say this happened 25% of the time. After talking to support, it seems nothing could explain it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

GoToTraining was our primary webinar software prior to and at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. What I liked most was how relatively user-friendly it was, generally speaking, but specifically the control that administrators had OVER the training was very robust. This product is designed to have a captive audience, and without much call-and-response from the audience or open forum Q&A, unless utilizing the chat. I also appreciated how simple but direct the attendee reports were. The formatting was easy to read, and did not require much editing for archival purposes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
This is designed for a captive audience. So for my organization, we used this as a way for distance-learners to effectively "stream in" and view a live class. Students at that time were not appearing on camera or miked, so any questions from students attending were sending questions along through the chat. Once COVID-19 hit us and we were forced to move to virtual classes, we found this to be ineffective and severely limiting, especially for classes that covered material needed to obtain a license, as those are intended to involve a lot of interaction both face-to-face and audibly. GTT was limited in this sense as no more than five attendees (including the presenter) could appear on camera. So while I can wholeheartedly recommend GoToTraining, I will just add the caveat that one should know *what* they are looking for in a virtual meeting software before implementing. The most helpful aspect of GoTo Training is that you can use it from anywhere to have training rooms remotely and conduct your sessions online. The GoTo Training application comes as a combined unit in the GoTo application, where GoTo Meeting is easily accessible. So there's no additional download required, making it easier to set up a session. You can host a training session similar to meetings or schedule them for a future date with the help of the calendar. The calendar is synced with the same schedule as your webinars and meetings, so you can ensure there is no overlap. During training sessions, you can share your screen or a specific window with the participants involved and present slides. The quality is excellent and the texts are legible when reading through a shared screen or presentation. You can use your training room to exchange instant messages at any time. When sharing or presenting, the participants can use the virtual hand raise tool to request some time to ask you questions with your permission. If the question is specific to one participant, you can wait until after the end to create breakout rooms for those participants without taking up everyone's time to discuss. You can also use the virtual whiteboard for further explanation and drawing.
GoTo Training is the ideal training platform for our interns and fresh recruits. We can record our training and save them on the cloud for anyone to view at any time. This allows them to go through the videos if they don't fully recollect any of the topics discussed during the training. GoTo provides well-informed reports on each training session we conduct, with real-time statistics on attendance and participation. Furthermore, GoTo Training can be integrated with Salesforce, which is handy when we need to train people to get accustomed to the CRM software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I haven't found any downsides to GoTo Training. It's pretty easy to work with and we use it regularly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Throughout the training process, the dashboards and whiteboards may be extremely useful in explaining how the connectivity will be set up throughout the demonstration to the client. Different areas of a training display make it simple to see where the material is while also addressing participant questions. The option to insert quizzes among aid sections makes the information more engaging. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The Whiteboard function isn't really useful. There is a highlighter to underline stuff on the presentation slides, yet it might be considerably more beneficial if it included a decent whiteboard capability. The user interface is mediocre; the Meeting attendance list, chats, and conference settings should all be tied-up to the side. They are tough to store and might generate distractions during conferences. I believe that most of the constraints are on my end since I occasionally receive pixel-sharing films, thus I believe that the issues are due to my internet connection. The dashboard and withe board can be very helpful during network training and explain how the topology will be configured during the lab or demo to the Partner. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I think more of the limitations are from my side because sometimes I got some pixel-sharing videos so I think that problems are related to my bandwidth connection. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

To be honest it is not a great meeting software so no feature I like particularly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The UI is not great, the Meeting attendee list, chat and meeting controls should be dockable into a corner. It's difficult to put them away easily and can cause distraction during presentations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Different sections of the training screen make it easy to see where the content is and look at participant's queries at the same time. The ability to add quizzes in between help makes the content a bit more interactive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The Whiteboard feature isn't that great. There is a marker to highlight content on the slides but a descent whiteboard feature would make it even more useful. It is also a bit complex to navigate and change microphone or headphone settings in the application. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is easy to use, some vendors are using it so we needed to learn how to use it and it was really easy. Remote trainings are even easier now. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some people do not use it at all so for some training we need them to install it and learn some basics. Once they are set up everything is good and easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Great tool to allow training across multiple geographic regions. Love the ability to "test" knowledge and adjust training accordingly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Inability to maximize screen while screen sharing. Buggy, and customer support isnt the best. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
