I feel confident that my data is safe and I don't need to pay for an extra QB license, since we share one login **What do you dislike about LogMeIn Pro?** It is a little expensive, I wish they had a cheaper alternative since I really only use it a few hours per month and for one specific purpose. **What problems is LogMeIn Pro solving and how is that benefiting you?** My bookkeeper can access my dedicated finance computer and I also am able to access that computer from my main computer and work across both of them seamlessly. It saves me a lot of time, having a single keyboard and screen and running 2 computers. ### 8. Phone, tablet, laptop or PC. Easy on any of them. Has saved me from having to run in and adjust something so many times. (facility operations is a 24/7 situation) **What do you dislike about LogMeIn Pro?** I don't have my double screens like I do at work, but oh well! Have had a few glitches with connection but that seems to be my work equipment and not LogMeIn. **Recommendations to others considering LogMeIn Pro:** To me it is like being on my work computer. It is easy to learn. If you plan to use it on your phone, there are only a couple of things that are tricky and they depend on the source program. I am also very near-sighted so a small screen doesn't bother me. Zoom and pinch work well. When you go to a PC or laptop, if you have multiple screens, flipping between them can be obnoxious but getting in the car and driving in is more so. I can do everything as if I were in my office except go physically pickup what I have sent to the printer. **What problems is LogMeIn Pro solving and how is that benefiting you?** I've never been an early riser. Getting logged on in the morning when there's a need is quick and easy. Same goes for late night calls. I only log into one machine but if I had to do many machines, no doubt, it would be a lifesaver. ### 9. Not only that, but they send out an invoice with an email ar.us@logmein.com that they later claim is not one they use (but its on all the invoices they sent), and on the invoice, indicated we could pay by check or send wire / ACH to their account listed, but nowhere did they indicate they were going to withdraw the money by ACH. After the withdrawal they also did not send a receipt or a copy of the transaction (which is required by law). Clearly, they are intentionally misrepresenting and doing this knowingly. **What problems is LogMeIn Pro solving and how is that benefiting you?** Ability to connect meetings and presentations online. Realized this is a BAD company that just wants to bill you. ### 15. After the campus was shut down on March 16 due to COVID-19, I continued to use the software at home until the middle of August. LogMeIn Pro saved us a lot of time and possible exposure in that I could log in from my home into my office computer. It cut down on all of the copies that our volunteers were making to bring me needed documents. Originals were delivered or I picked them up then I could enter everything from my home laptop. It's like being in the office without actually being there. ### 17. It is reliable and effective as a remote access tool and the remote management features will provide most of the functionality you need to manage your devices. **What do you dislike about LogMeIn Pro?** The price. It is around 50% more expensive than similar products that do exactly the same thing or more. They have taken advantage of their market dominance to gouge their customers. Choosing my numbers doesn't help a lot since the numbers aren't in order of the layout. **Recommendations to others considering LogMeIn Pro:** LogMeIn Pro is a great product and has very good pricing compared to others in this market. I can use LogMeIn Pro from inside most browsers to remotely access my work desktop when I need to. Reasonable to use. **What do you dislike about LogMeIn Pro?** The company offers a very basic product and likes to charge extortionate prices to use. Once they have you signed up, they will continuously increase your subscription fees without permission. You will end up paying ridiculous amounts of money for a very basic service. An individual subscription gives you access to only two computers and now goes for $391USD a year! I originally paid $49USD a year, so you can see how far they have gone from the originally agreed amounts. Based on other products available, this company is a big SCAM, and you should find your remote desktop solutions somewhere else. Look up freeware solutions that will be much better suited to your needs and keep you out of this corporate greed. **Recommendations to others considering LogMeIn Pro:** Don't do it. The ease of the application is also great. Very user friendly. **What do you dislike about LogMeIn Pro?** I wish that I could black out some of the monitors on the computer I am trying to access. For example, I have 3 monitors at my work and would like to black out 2 of the three monitors, so my work is secure but coworkers can still access the security cameras on the third monitor. As of right now, LogMeIn does not have that capability. You can only black out all monitors or leave all monitors visible. **Recommendations to others considering LogMeIn Pro:** See if there is a trial period you can access before purchasing and then try to learn how to use the product to be most effective for your company. There are so many tools and options that I'm sure alot of things are not used as much as they could/should be. **What problems is LogMeIn Pro solving and how is that benefiting you?** It helps me work from home during COVID. I have access to my QuickBooks software and access to DropBox, etc.. I do not have to redownload everything onto my PC at home which is great because it would really slow down that computer, if I were to have everything "redownloaded". I can also pull up things for my coworkers at the office, when I am at home, and they can see what I am referring to easily. ### 33. Great quick solution to transferring, storing and accessing files from an office computer from home. **Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospitality | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2020 **What do you like best about LogMeIn Pro?** It was easy to setup and good value, it's quick to log in remotely and do the things that you need to do (provided your internet connect is of a good speed) It has been a great tool to use in order to get files from work to my home computer without needing glitchy VPNs and heavy pieces of software. **What do you dislike about LogMeIn Pro?** It sometimes crashes which is annoying but because it's only the software that crashes it means everything is still as you left it on the host machine so no real biggie. I have to restart the host machine at least once a week else sometimes it gets stuck on the "verify identity" part of the login process. The Command + Tab function doesn't work on the host machine when using it which becomes annoying Also, although there is an option to select to use Cmd + Opt + Esc on the host computer this never seems to work so you can't force quit anything on the host machine unless you right click on the application itself. **Recommendations to others considering LogMeIn Pro:** Make sure you test the software to make sure it works for you and also make sure you test it from your home setup (if you're accessing work machines) to make sure that your internet connection can cope because if your internet is too slow I can imagine that using your machine remotely would be a very painful ordeal. **What problems is LogMeIn Pro solving and how is that benefiting you?** Being able to access my work machine like I am there in the office means I can use the office printer when I'm not there as well as being able to transfer large files quickly from computer to computer securely is amazing! ### 41. It allows for a streamlined connection to my drives that are only accessible at work. It has been awesome to be home during the COVID pandemic and still be able to work. I feel confident that I can work anywhere at anytime, even if I end up sick. **What do you dislike about LogMeIn Pro?** Connection stability needs to be worked on. At least once a week, usually Wednesday mornings, I get kicked out of my work computer and LogMeIn and have to re-log in several times before the stability returns. This is the most frustrating part of LogMeIn. **Recommendations to others considering LogMeIn Pro:** I would recommend this project if you are a light user with documents at your place of work. Unfortunately some of our project managers are unable to use this system due to the size of the drawings they need to download. They use a separate system to access those large drawings. Everyone else in the office, the administrators, accounting department and human resources use their own LogMeIn account. Seems to be working out well for us.` **What problems is LogMeIn Pro solving and how is that benefiting you?** As a Payroll and Human Resources Administrator, it has allowed me to continue to complete payroll each week with little issues. It has helped me to better streamline my position and be able to allocate my time better. It has also shown me where the missing gaps are at work.
