It is easy to use and has many AI model that can be leveraged.It has around 150 plus gen ai models and tools that can be used to quickly deploy ML workflows and with ease. It is open

We had primary use case around model training and repository. For that, we need to connect with BQ and Google Store buckets which vertex AI does seemlesssly and without any extra efforts. The biggest downside in my opinion is it's pricing structure. Initially, when you starts it seems ok and one can quickly launch new models using it. But as you move forward you find pricing structure a bit too steep and complex to understand.
Other than pricing, a big concern to me is vendor lockin due to complex integration with third party services. Once you start using vertex AI, you try to use GCP services only as it's an effort to use third party tools and services.
