I like how seamless and scalable it is. It’s really easy to set up, manage, and scale databases without needing to worry about the underlying infrastructure. A thing I dislike about Google SQL Server on Google Cloud is the cost. It can get quitepricey, especially as a database grows or if you need high availability and failover setups. The documentation, while good, sometimes lacks depth espeacily for more complex use cases, and troubleshooting issues can require digging into multiple tools or services, which isn’t always straightforward and adds multiple steps before resolving your task/issue. Google Cloud has a reliable infrastructure and provides an easy-to-manage service to deploy our existing SQL Server workloads on Google Cloud. It allows the use of database management tools that we already use, like SQL Server Management Studio. The service provides a collaborative and developer-friendly environment with integration capabilities between our existing SQL Server database system and various Google Cloud query services and data tools.
