"An All-Inclusive Education Solution"
5/5
What do you like best about Google for Education?

What I like best about Google for Education is the myriad of apps and the suite of options available to educators. This includes everything from Gmail, to Drive, to Google Docs, and more. Google Calendar is a fantastic way to keep all stakeholders in the know about events and meetings taking place in the near future. Google Docs allows multiple users to edit and dictate at the same time, and give their opinion when necessary. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google for Education?

I think the only dislike I have about Google for Education is the fact that some institutions have not fully integrated, so the potential is unrealized and can be hard to facilitate collaboration. Honestly, there's not much to dislike as Google has provided a full spectrum of resources that only enhance opportunities across the board. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Google for Education?

I like that the suite of products are designed to work together easily. I also like the amount of support services offered to learn how to use the products. Unlike Microsoft, it is designed for collaborating and real time editing and feedback, all valuable tools for classroom learning. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google for Education?

I don't like that some of the tools have special admin controls teachers cannot access. Having access to controls for both admin and teachers would allow for the products to be used in classrooms more effectively. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A great all-inclusive solution for student and teacher work."

What do you like best about Google for Education?

Google is great at making easy to use documents that are able to be started quick, shared with others, and worked on collaboratively at the same time with the option to get as creative as possible along the way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google for Education?

The one negative that I have run into is when one student keeps deleting (either accidentally or not) other students' work in a shared document. Being able to go into version history and revert to older versions greatly helps with this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Google for Education?

Ease of use is the reason that I think most educators and parents love Google Education. Everything is in one space and the interface is pretty natural to what everyone is using already. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google for Education?

I would love to see some further integrations, like grade passback, some better reminder systems like automatic notifications. But it's pretty great for what it is. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Google for Educationn vs Microsoft"

What do you like best about Google for Education?

When I was with IT at a University, we had to choose an enterprise solution. We experienced the need to rapidly scale due to exponential growth of student and adjunt populations. We had traditionally been a Microsoft school with staff adopting Outlook and the campus utilizing the full suite of Office products. The first factor we had to address was ownership protocols. With admission and/or hire, incoming students and staff were provisioned with Microsoft accounts but, upon leaving the University, they had to relinquish accounts within 30 days...when a kill script stripped the account and returned available license to pool for reuse.

Google for Education offered a managed solution that provided long term viability and access for both students and staff...all with a coveted .edu extension. The office suite plus drive with a lot more licenses meant the onboarding process could be essentially automated and reduce help desk traffic well beyond any staff or student transition or graduation. Pluss i was much more cost-effective and the set up and maintenance was seemless. Not having to Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Google for Education?

Google created an easy-to-navigate experience. Everything we need is is in one place and works seamlessly. It does not matter what level of technological understanding you possess, the Google help sites, courses, and community forums can help. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google for Education?

Google Meet could use some visual improvements, however, Google is constantly updating. Google Classroom could use some changes, for example, I would like to be able to schedule assignments for all classes at once. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Google for Education?

Google Education has such a wide range of educational information available to teachers and students that it is hard to choose my favorite. Compared to competitors, this app is more accessible and easier to navigate! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google for Education?

Sometimes the app has small glitches, which make the whole page feeze. When this happens, I usually have to re start whate er device I am on. The problem is then fixed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
