## Google for Education Reviews
  ### 1. Google for Education is the best organizational tool in your educational center

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 17, 2019

**What do you like best about Google for Education?**

Google for Education is the best organizational tool for your educational center, as you can create a multitude of users with their email accounts and unlimited space. It serves both students and teachers, facilitating teamwork among teachers and improving student productivity in the classroom thanks to enhanced communication between teacher and student. It is possible to upload notes and exercises to a cloud repository that can be accessed from anywhere and any device as long as there is an internet connection. Additionally, Google for Education is free upon registration and submission of the necessary documentation to Google.

**What do you dislike about Google for Education?**

Some features more related to teaching are missing, such as attendance control.
Relying on the Internet connection sometimes causes issues with the availability of documents.
The setup takes time and requires an administrator with high-level IT knowledge.

**Recommendations to others considering Google for Education:**

Highly recommended, although it should be noted that the implementation is difficult, complex, and lengthy. You will need specialized personnel if the computer science teacher does not want to participate and collaborate in its implementation.

**What problems is Google for Education solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is used for teachers to work in teams, sharing minutes and grade templates that are filled out by all members of the educational community at the center. It is free, does not require maintenance costs. It is very useful for improving the teacher-student relationship, and Google for Education also includes other internal tools such as Google Classroom, which further enhance the experience of delivering classes or educational courses.

  ### 2. Google is taking over the world......and it's okay!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Melissa A. | Social Studies Teacher, Primary/Secondary Education, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 19, 2018

**What do you like best about Google for Education?**

I really like how integrated everything is for Google Education. It is easy to share documents between students for working together and reviewing. It has the ability to see the revision history, which has helped me to explain to parents why their child has gotten a zero for cheating.
One of the best parts is the unlimited storage. I have a ton of things in my Drive that I know I wouldn't have storage for otherwise.
I also like the advent of the Team Drive. It makes it very easy to collaborate with colleagues within the school and district.

**What do you dislike about Google for Education?**

It can be difficult to find things, even when searching due to how much you can have in. I wish you could put things in multiple folders and could have more color options for folders. The colors really helps to find things quickly, but I have run out of colors to use.

**Recommendations to others considering Google for Education:**

This is definitely a great system. Google is easy to access from everywhere. It has made collaboration between students very easy!

**What problems is Google for Education solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Google for Education has really helped with an email system, ability to easily do group work, and not have to worry about viruses from students using jump drives in the district computers.

  ### 3. Google for Education,

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 29, 2019

**What do you like best about Google for Education?**

Google for Education is simple to setup, the interface is intuitive and there is a wide variety of services available.

**What do you dislike about Google for Education?**

The name Google scares more and more people and their organizations. Free is one thing, but the continuous privacy issues keep raising questions about the privacy of students and teachers. Now and in their future.

**What problems is Google for Education solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Some school are very happy with Google, some are not but either way it is about the tools students can use to improve their work.

  ### 4. Google for Education

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 27, 2018

**What do you like best about Google for Education?**

Google for Education is a cloud service offered by Google to educational centers completely free of charge and it works great. It offers the possibility to create an entire park of user accounts for students, teachers, and parents, easy to manage and administer thanks to its powerful intuitive interface provided by the admin console.
Additionally, it offers unlimited space for each of the accounts in the Google Drive service.
It also adds additional programs like Google Classroom that help you manage classes and share material with your students securely.
And of course, it does not exclude the well-known Google office tools such as the calendar for sharing events, Google Docs as a word processor, Google Slides, Google Sheets, etc. All of them available online and usable through a browser, collaboratively. This greatly facilitates teamwork.
It greatly facilitates the migration of previous Gmail accounts to the new domain with Google School.

**What do you dislike about Google for Education?**

What I don't like about Google School is that it doesn't include a database manager within its office suite. It should also be noted that the registration process requires a lot of documentation from the center to be submitted to Google's offices and takes about a month. The implementation cannot be left in the hands of just anyone; it must be administrators or technicians with high-level IT knowledge. Other than that, there are no complaints, only gratitude towards Google for offering this expensive tool in its G Suite for businesses version at zero cost for educational centers.

**Recommendations to others considering Google for Education:**

Recommended one hundred percent. You can have your email with your own domain managed by Google, plus several tools that will facilitate the daily tasks of an educational center, and all of this for free.

**What problems is Google for Education solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use it to have managed email from the Gmail console but with our domain name. That is why it is used in communications (internal, with parents, and with students). We also take advantage of the unlimited Google Drive storage possibilities to store a large number of bureaucratic documents of the center and share them among all the workers. The included tool, Google Classroom, is also especially useful for organizing classes of certain courses, as a centralized sharing repository of educational resources.

  ### 5. GOOGLE SCHOOL FOR THE EDUCATIONAL CENTER.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Luis H. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 05, 2018

**What do you like best about Google for Education?**

Google for Education is an online platform, identical to G SUITE for BUSINESS. But with the pleasant surprise that for an educational center, it is completely free.
The advantages are:
 - Having unlimited accounts in Gmail but with your own domain. That is, they won't end in Gmail. They will end with the domain that the educational center has contracted.
- Unlimited space in Drive.
- Access to classroom tools to organize student accounts into classes according to the course they are taking.
- Availability of Google Forms to conduct surveys both internally within the center and with students and parents.
- Availability of collaborative online office applications from Google without any limit (Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides, etc.).
- Facilitates teamwork for the entire educational community.
- Innovates the center in communication technology.
- It is compatible with Chromebooks, promoting learning in the classroom.

**What do you dislike about Google for Education?**

What I liked the least was the time required to achieve the final implementation. It doesn't happen in a day or a week:
- You have to contact Google and follow a long and complex registration process, in which a lot of documentation from the center has to be sent.
- It takes a lot of time to register all the teachers and students of the center, and it is necessary to have the help of several administrators to carry out its daily maintenance, control the registration and deregistration of user accounts for teachers and students in the center. And creating an account takes ten minutes; if we assume that there are 500 accounts to create in a center, this gives us 5000 minutes (more than 80 hours of work), which the computer science teacher cannot do if they also have to teach classes and grade assignments.

**Recommendations to others considering Google for Education:**

The registration and implementation time is very long, but it's free, go ahead and bring technological innovation from Google to your center and make the work of all the staff and the organization with parents and students easier. It is a complete, very intuitive, and functional tool.

**What problems is Google for Education solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The benefits are maximum because it does not require economic investment. Google offers it for free to educational centers. Google for Education has allowed us to have a professional-looking email for each member of the educational community, and it has helped organize students by classes. It has facilitated teamwork among the teachers at the center when dealing with bureaucratic matters. In summary, once the long initial implementation phase is overcome, it has made the way the center works easier.

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Google for Education?**

This is a great product for schools not because it is free. The features that are available in this suite of products is overwhelming. The support is also free for schools. If you can define what you are trying to get done, google Tech Support can help you find an app or setting in the admin section.

**What do you dislike about Google for Education?**

If the product is free, what are you giving up in data? The support people are knowledgeable but cultural difference make communication difficult. The support documents are good but which one applies here.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2018

**What do you like best about Google for Education?**

It is easy to use and distribute assignments to students, as well as easily grade quizzes through google forms. Google classroom allows students to receive and keep up with assignments, even if they are absent from class. Gmail makes communicated with coworkers and parents super easy.

**What do you dislike about Google for Education?**

It did not sync with my gradebook, so I had to manually enter grades, which was unfortunate, but not the end of the world. This was not an issue with Google for Education, but more so a problem with the gradebook company (Synergy). Many Google products do record grades, however. Google forms even has a quiz option for that.

**Recommendations to others considering Google for Education:**

I highly recommend Google for Education. I was a big fan of the product when I was in the school setting. Kids love the features and find it easy to use. Teachers, even those who are less tech savvy, find it manageable and useful in a multitude of class settings.

**What problems is Google for Education solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Google makes communication, standards, grading, and overall school environment better for administrators, teachers, and students. I can use google to easily communicate with administrators when a problem arises in my classroom, but I can also quickly distribute and collect work from students, even if a student is absent from class.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rebecca M. | 7th grade Language Arts & Social Studies Teacher, Primary/Secondary Education, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2018

**What do you like best about Google for Education?**

Google for Eduction seamlessly links various Google apps together for students and teachers to use on a daily basis.

**What do you dislike about Google for Education?**

I dislike that teacher accounts cannot be changed include our title (Mrs., Mr., Miss, etc) instead of our first name, unless we replace our first name with that title. Additionally, GforE does not work very well with iPads, as they have very different formats. The ease of use is not there for younger students.

**Recommendations to others considering Google for Education:**

Google for Education works best when used with Chomebooks or Chromeboxes for students. iPad use is not as seamless due to the different platforms. Google for Education works great with Promethean boards and allows for the teacher to be away from the computer and back at the front of the classroom.

**What problems is Google for Education solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Google for Education allows students and teachers to connect via the various apps. Google Classroom links directly with Google Drive which allows for students and teacher's drive accounts to be organized through the use of the Google Classroom app. Additionally, the ability to collaborate between students or student and teachers is vital. The use of Google for Education is helping to shape the next generation of businesspeople.

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2018

**What do you like best about Google for Education?**

All of the products available through Google for Education are constantly being updated and adapted to the needs of educators. I'm especially fond of using Blogger for a classroom blog and Google Classroom for my different sections of students. This streamlines the process for me, saves me time prepping for different sections of students, and enables me to send my students meaningful resources at any time of the day.

**What do you dislike about Google for Education?**

I would prefer that the educator training to become a Google Educator was less time consuming. It is exceptionally important that all teachers are certified, but our time is limited. Also, there needs to be a better training platform so we can seamlessly integrate all of the Google for Education products within our classrooms.

**Recommendations to others considering Google for Education:**

Try it out! It is well worth it.

**What problems is Google for Education solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've streamlined assignments and parent communication through Google for Education. I'm also able to link to many other products. ### 25. Off the Charts, Google Is a Powerhouse

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carly M. | 5th Grade Teacher, Education Management, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2018

**What do you like best about Google for Education?**

Google has done a wonderful job of integrating their numerous applications for education into their already fantastic user interface. Applications are ease to access, to navigate, and to move from one to another without losing your place or progress in the work you've done. From Drive to Classroom to Sites, my students are able to seamlessly transition from one activity to another.

**What do you dislike about Google for Education?**

The only difficult I face with Google for Education would be student access to certain functions. Some applications are not available to students on their laptops. Because this may be an administrative choice, teachers have a difficult time fixing this problem. Nevertheless, Google is mindful of the education based content, and these protective measures can ultimately benefit students.

**Recommendations to others considering Google for Education:**

I am unaware of the exact cost to use the Google Suite for Education, but I cannot imagine it is inexpensive. While the cost may be more than some businesses can afford, their support is worth the cost.

**What problems is Google for Education solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our entire district is able to use the same applications with the same formats. Collaboration and sharing is so easy!

**What do you like best about Google for Education?**

Google Apps for Education is the best set of apps released with educators in mind. The user friendliness is unbeatable! I cannot say enough good things about these programs! These programs are unbeatable. I don't know what I'd do without this set of applications!

**What do you dislike about Google for Education?**

The only thing I dislike is the Excel program and the corresponding forms. I am great with using forms, but cannot get the information to organize in a friendly way. I might just not have a strong enough knowledge base.

**Recommendations to others considering Google for Education:**

Just jump in! It's so user friendly and adds so much to your classroom. You won't regret it! :) It really is as easy as it sounds and you'll regret not doing it if you don't. Trust me on this one. It is a game changer as far as being innovative and creativity goes. Even if only Google Classroom, try it out.

**What problems is Google for Education solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The connectivity that is available is priceless! It's the first leap towards a PLN and connecting with other educators from all over the world! This is a real game changer in that regard.

  ### 32. Google for Education in a Classroom

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Charlie B. | Teacher, Education Management, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 26, 2017

**What do you like best about Google for Education?**

Google's collaboration tools are wonderful in a classroom setting. My students are able to work on projects together from across the classroom, school, or even across town. This ability to collaborate is key for working with students in the 21st-century. The ability to go back to previous versions allows me to easily look back to see what the students have been working on and for how long. This also allows me the chance to easily see who was working on which part of an assignment. The wide range of tools offers an excellent replacement for Microsoft Office.

**What do you dislike about Google for Education?**

Although Google for Education is a suitable replacement for Microsoft Office, there are some things that Google's apps cannot do that Microsoft excels at. As Google continuously updates their apps, this gap has lessened, but there are some issues that still come up, especially when working with spreadsheets.

**Recommendations to others considering Google for Education:**

This has been a huge asset for our district. I would highly recommend at least trying it out since it is a free resource. I have also seen universities switch to Google for Education, so this is clearly where higher level education is going as well.

**What problems is Google for Education solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Google for Education is free. This has allowed our IT department to reallocate resources that used to be spent on Microsoft Office licenses. The collaboration component has also helped our students to transition into a 21st-century environment. Using Google for Education has helped our district to step into a more modern environment for our students and staff.

  ### 35. A powerful and free apps platform for education

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matthew D. | IT Manager, Education Management, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 15, 2017

**What do you like best about Google for Education?**

Google provides a robust platform for teachers to get their work done. The combination of familiar tools like Drive, Gmail and Calendar lends the system a sense of familiarity. While the new tools like Keep, Meet and Classroom provide teachers with many options on how to develop and deliver content to their students. The administration tools let me fully control and manage the user experience to keep everything consistent.

**What do you dislike about Google for Education?**

Sometimes, Google deprecates useful features. For example, you used to be able to host HTML documents out of Google Drive. While I understand that this contradicts with Sites, it allowed students to write raw HTML code and make their own websites without using any dev tools. Google also updates other features where the new version is not really any big improvement over the existing version. Google recently updated the login window for Chromebooks and Chromeboxes. The new login window is substantially larger than the old one and it blocks most of the new background that I deployed to my Chromebooks and Chromeboxes.

**Recommendations to others considering Google for Education:**

Make sure to have training strategies in place for your staff and make use of the G Suite training extension.

**What problems is Google for Education solving and how is that benefiting you?**

By moving to G Suite, we have greatly reduced our yearly spend on Email. The new hosted system has removed a lot of stress and worry versus having an on premises solution.

  ### 36. Efficient and easy to use

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cristy T. | Assistant Director, SRB & Marketing, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2017

**What do you like best about Google for Education?**

It's everything in one product: from storing your own documents/files to creating your own files without needing Microsoft office. Plus with Google Calendar, the whole team can always see where you are and if you are available for meetings or not. With tools like Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides, Google Calendar, Google for Education is a great resource for colleges and universities. My favorite part is the easiness you can share documents in between coworkers and students making it easy to add or edit documents.

**What do you dislike about Google for Education?**

Since administration chooses what employees can use/not use, sometimes is inconvenient that you do not have access to google developers for website resources. Other than that, I do not see anything I do not like. It's very easy to use and useful for every daily activity.

**What problems is Google for Education solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Communicating with my coworkers, managing my daily/weekly/monthly meetings/holidays/office celebrations, creating documents, sharing documents/files with coworkers and students for easy collaboration, storing important files that I can work on from different computers, keeping track of changes that have been made to documents by coworkers/students.

  ### 37. User Friendly Educational Tool

**Reviewed Date:** July 20, 2018

**What do you like best about Google for Education?**

As far as user friendliness, nothing beats google. For both students and teachers.

**What do you dislike about Google for Education?**

It had less to do with Google and more to do with the school’s software in place. VBCPS was only partially switched over, and the other program was much less user friendly and not very comparable with google.

**What problems is Google for Education solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It’s great students especially those that are aspiring teachers themselves, as well as a valuable resource for presentations and smart devices.

  ### 38. Great apps that give access to students and faculty

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amanda C. | Administrative Office Technician, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Google for Education?**

I love that Google for Education gives access to word and excel type files that you can access anywhere on any operating system without having to have the microsoft suite downloaded to your computer. It's a great tool for students and faculty alike. It also allows sharing between documents, which is highly valuable for documents you need to share or for group projects.

**What do you dislike about Google for Education?**

Right now I don't have any qualms with the google for education products. It's great how connected it makes everything. I haven't had any issues with it thus far.

**Recommendations to others considering Google for Education:**

Go for it. It's a great tool that brings people together. It's a great way to work on shared projects and keep your coworkers in the know.

**What problems is Google for Education solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps to share documents with the people that you need to share them with, without having to put them in a file that everyone has access to. It's easy to see who the document it shared with and who was the last one to make any changes to it.

Love, love, love the shared drive for teammates. Sharing IEPs privately with teachers is a breeze! I love the way Google makes it super easy to collaborate between kids, as in Google Docs real time editing etc.

**What do you dislike about Google for Education?**

Lack of support for teacher / student direct communication. Google Classroom is still a pretty immature platform for e-learning and it's only sufficient for day to day scheduling of assignments.

**Recommendations to others considering Google for Education:**

Amazing value for your money! Great solution for education needs.

**What problems is Google for Education solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It makes it easy for my school to provide with unlimited google software for my students, which they usually love and want to use as they're familiar with it.

  ### 43. All-in-One

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2018

**What do you like best about Google for Education?**

I have been using Google products for many years now, but this is the first year I have really committed to using Google for Education. My school district has been using Google since I have been employed with them, but this year I decided to step it up and use Google Classroom to keep both myself and my student organized. I like to be able to share the Slide presentations that I show in class instantly through Google Classroom as well as post any websites, comments, reminders and accept grading sheets online.

**What do you dislike about Google for Education?**

I really like using Google Classroom, but I wish that I could see a timeline of when documents get turned in. I am able to see who did and did not turn in the documents, but I would like to see a list of when they were turned in. This would help me when I am trying to update my any lists I am keeping. Rather than checking through the whole class I can check to see who has turned assignments in since I last checked. I also wish that Google would come up with a system similar to SchoolTool, or something that would communicate with SchoolTool. I grade work on Google Classroom, write it down for a hard copy and transfer grades to SchoolTool. I do my best to keep all 3 updated, but sometimes I miss one.

**Recommendations to others considering Google for Education:**

Create a way for Google Classroom to communicate with other programs that schools use, like SchoolTool. Also, for assignments being "turned in", allow teachers to see a timeline of when assignments are being turned in with a timestamp of some sort in the "To-Do" folder. An added bonus would be to indicate if the teacher has opened the document already.

**What problems is Google for Education solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Google for Education is helping me have less paper in the classroom. I teach Art in a middle school. Currently when I bring home work that can be a hefty load, on top of 100+ grading sheets that makes for even more. Instead of bringing home artwork paired with grading sheets, students can complete their grading sheets online through Classroom in school or at home. I also like using Google Slides and Google Forms with my students. Google for Education allows students to actively assess themselves and what is happening in the classroom through the various tools that Google offers.

  ### 44. Google Education

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 22, 2017

**What do you like best about Google for Education?**

Google offers solutions for basically everything that one could wish for that solve what are both instructional problems or just annoyances. I like that it has streamlined everything that I do so that I can do the same amount in less time and more seamlessly. Some of the issues that it has helped me address: how to communicate with/ work with absent students on makeup work; Communicating and providing resources/ differentiation; general organization of my curriculum; time spent copying...

**What do you dislike about Google for Education?**

I don't actually dislike anything! I just find that there is a learning curve and while I have learned a lot there is still more that I could!

**Recommendations to others considering Google for Education:**

So many schools use this it will greatly help with collaboration.

**What problems is Google for Education solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As mentioned:Some of the issues that it has helped me address: how to communicate with/ work with absent students on makeup work; Communicating and providing resources/ differentiation; general organization of my curriculum; time spent copying. I have realized that I have more time in my life to focus on refining my curriculum, trying new things and that the progrmas google offers helps me organize the "data" I take to sese if my changes are working.

  ### 45. Google is great!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Music | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 08, 2018

**What do you like best about Google for Education?**

I like that Google allows so much space on your device. It is easy to use and always coming out with new things! It is easily accessible to parents, students, administrators, etc. There are many different options for organizing groups. For example, the calendar, the documents, the live editing feature, and the classroom component.

**What do you dislike about Google for Education?**

The only thing I dislike is not everyone uses it and they should. Not everyone is on board with all the google options, and/or knows how to use them. More training on some things would be beneficial to all.

**Recommendations to others considering Google for Education:**

Use all the services it has to offer.

**What problems is Google for Education solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being and educator, I use google everyday. Students have easy access to the google classroom, google docs, spreadsheets, etc. It is easy to share out information with everyone. It is extremely easy to use and communicate with everyone. I can easily share out information, keep an updated calendar, an updated roster, and everything I need to be a successful educator. Google drive alone has so much space that I don't have to worry about deleting documents. Everything is easy to keep organized.

  ### 46. Google for Education - ease at your fingertips

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carol L. | K-3 Special Education Teacher, Education Management, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 21, 2017

**What do you like best about Google for Education?**

I like that I am able to create documents needed for my classroom. It is very easy to share these documents between colleagues for increased collaboration when time is valuable. I am able to customize each of the different products to fit my needs. I utilize several of the Google products including: Drive, Slides, Sheets, etc. The ability to use Google Chat or Video call makes collaboration doable all day long. The calendar function with events and reminders allows users to track their schedule from any device. The ability to color code different calendars allows users to have multiple calendars to separate personal from business.

**What do you dislike about Google for Education?**

I am not fond of the formatting options in sheets and docs. I am not able to format my documents quite as easily as in Excel or Word. I am figuring it out though.

**Recommendations to others considering Google for Education:**

Google for Education provides many useful applications that can be used beyond the classroom. I utilize calendar across my entire life. I am able to access the applications at home without having to carry my laptop with me. I can access them on my phone as well. It is easy to share among colleagues, video chat or chat makes it easy to collaborate when time is of the essence.

**What problems is Google for Education solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The benefits include real-time collaboration and meetings when all participants cannot physically be there. This is a huge benefit for Special Education meetings. GSuite for Education is helpful for all participants.

  ### 47. Why I love Google for Education

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anna J. | Instructional Assistant, Primary/Secondary Education, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 04, 2017

**What do you like best about Google for Education?**

Google for Education is a wonderful resource for both the teacher and the student. It eliminates the need for students to have to save and then possibly lose their work. Google automatically saves every few seconds.

It also allows students to work together on projects but eliminates the necessity of the group having to find a time to meet outside of school.

Finally, it allows the teacher to monitor progress and provide feedback that the student can see immediately on their project or paper.

**What do you dislike about Google for Education?**

I dislike that during group projects other students can delete work without the approval of the entire group. This was an issue during a group last year. One student did not like the work of another student so she deleted the entire project and wanted to start over. I think the delete function should need approval from other members if the document is a shared document.

**What problems is Google for Education solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I work in a school setting so I am not solving any business problems.

  ### 48. Incredible, high-value tools

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Craig B. | Director of Information Services and Technology, Education Management, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 19, 2017

**What do you like best about Google for Education?**

The G-Suite for Education tools are incredibly powerful for schools. And, it's incredible that Google makes them available for no cost. Our staff and students have relied upon tools like Google Docs, Sheets, Slide, and Gmail for years.

**What do you dislike about Google for Education?**

There's not too much to dislike. The most significant shortcoming is that Google Sheets does not contain the similar feature set as MS Excel. But, again, the product is available for no cost, so it's hard to complain.

**Recommendations to others considering Google for Education:**

Be thoughtful and planful about how to setup users and devices in Google Admin Console.

**What problems is Google for Education solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We've reaped great efficiencies using the G-Suite tools. It's increased communication and collaboration. There are no more document versioning issues, etc...

  ### 49. I can't do my work with out Google for Education

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Todd P. | Full Professor, Higher Education, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 18, 2017

**What do you like best about Google for Education?**

The best part of Google for Education is G Suite. I can't function on a daily basis without my school, email and calendar. The best part is the appointment slots, this feature save me time and energy when doing any sort of advising. Another great part is the ability to collaborate with colleagues in invaluable. The best part of Google Docs is Sheets. The spreadsheet has grown greatly in the past few years. It has many of best features of Excel but is more easily shared with other members of the campus. Sheets works so well that we are able to track Data long term and easily share it with anyone on campus. The addition of Google Forms makes it better than Excel. If we need to collect budget or student data we can easily create a form.

**What do you dislike about Google for Education?**

Not all the normal services work with the account. Some of them are blocked by my employer but sometimes Google does not support all the features with the education account. Another major downfall of the suite is Google sites. It is really behind any other website creation software. The sites sill look like they are from 1990. It is a same because it has the potential with its integration with other google products.

**Recommendations to others considering Google for Education:**

I cant imagine working at a university that did not use this suite.

**What problems is Google for Education solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It provides our college with much needed support for all the Gmail, calendar and the Google office Suite.
