I'm in a B2B company and Generally I use APIs & Services for my project in my current company. And there are 21 default APIs provide by Google Cloud Platform. generally I google map for my company so that everyone can see home and interantional location of my company, Also Google Map provide you 90-day free trial. I was using Google Cloud from college life, for study purpose, for training, and to understand cloud computing from college to job life and did not face any issue in using Google Cloud platform. When we grew there few limitation that came into play. First of all, EU / governments for which we were doing software didn't want US company to store data. We were migrating everything to managed postgres outside of GCP. Additionally, authentication for users was very much linked to GCP and we had to invent a method to change it, which led to some problems with Firebase/firestore. iiI) Highly Scalable

This is very useful in storing & fetching user-generated content such as display pictures, videos etc.

While creating the storage bucket it will ask for the location, we need to choose the location very wisely because we can't change it later and it can severely impact the downloading time of the items stored in the bucket.

Infrastructure as a Service and Google Drive is SaaS – Software as a Service. Google Cloud is more suitable for enterprises, whereas Google Drive is for personal backups for normal users. Support fee is quite hefty, around 150 USD per month for the most basic service (Silver class), Downloading data from Google Cloud Storage is expensive. 0,12 USD per GB. The SDK is really simple and well documented, the setup is quite straightforward since the console UI is uncluttered.

Starting a new Firebase project requires just a few steps and then the store is ready to use, you even have its documentation at hand to get understanding on what a storage service is and how to use it properly.

One of the features that I like best is the resuming of transfers via its API in case of connectivity issues, it actually lets you retry exactly where you left off and continue from there.

Another key aspect of the Firebase Storage is that it integrates perfectly with Firebase Authentication, that way you can grant specific access to you content through roles management.

Since data is saved on GC Storage buckets, you can also perform server side operations like transcoding or reformatting (cropping, trimming, etc) the content at the server side, as it is stored. A classic use case would be to generate a thumbnail for an image or video that was uploaded to the storage.

Many times you need to remove some old data, and there are different approaches to doing so, but in this case it's super easy since you can take advantage of the out of the box Object Lifecycle Management feature that will allow you to do just that by setting up a lifecycle policy for your bucket. They're easy to configure, you'll just indicate the action to perform, and under which condition it should be performed. I.e. "remove" the object "when 30 days old".
