It makes it very easy to work with GCP services instead of navigating within the console. It allows me to write scripts for my general workflows, helping me automate some daily tasks. Autocomplete is an excellent feature! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As there is no GUI, sometimes an unintended action done by mistake can have severe consequences and would go unnoticed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like the APIs services that get easily integrated Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Platform is a little complex for first time but later it becomes easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It's very easy to integrate GCP with other Google products, which helps a lot while doing the setup. Its pay-as-you-go option is very much convenient and cost-effective. We have to pay for the usage only. It is highly scalable, so no need to worry about the traffic. Google Cloud SDK saves a lot of time while doing various tasks in GCP, as we have to write some commands to perform tasks instead of using standard GUI. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes a small mistake in the SDK command gives severe and undesirable outcomes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Using Gcloud commands we can interact with GCP services from our localhost & It's easy to use Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes in Windows machines files are not downloading & getting EOF error for windows. I don't like this feature & Large files can not be downloaded from the containers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Using Gcloud SDK Rather than using standard GUI for doing various tasks on GCP, saves lot of time. We get flexibility of automation and power of bash at one place. Using SDK can give us more options and being very specific on what we wanted to apply. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The SDk package is not compatable with all the google products. a small mistake in our commands can commit serious outcome which is not at all desirable and would make the company run into unexpected costs. but if you have a budget limit, it can save you from unexpected costs. Google cloud development kit gives integrated development tools and libraries in one place so you don't have to install the different dependent libraries for different tolls GCDK provides all of these in one place. What we call google cloud development kit. It provides various tools like bq, kubectl, gcloud, etc. for different purposes. It provides the complete documentation on its website for those who are going to use it the very first time. Documentation is clear to understand and also provides code snippets. I do not dislike anything about google cloud development kit because it made developers' life easy by provide this development kit where various tools and libraries are integrated into one place. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The Google Cloud SDK is almost mandatory nowadays, you can manage almost everything!
You can use more or less any language you know, and deploy without problems using their computational power. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I don't like the "disorder", when looking at it for the first time it seems very complex and hard to use. You need a certain amount of time to became practical and start to fully appreciate the system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like that the functions provided are performant, most of my needs are there. I used it mainly to access and manage my Cloud Compute instances and it made writing scripts easier and concise. It integrates many GCP products in one place and so made my life easier not to need to use each corresponding API of every product I use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I don't like the documentation that much, I think this is my problem with most of the products. I also get confused sometimes with the development phase of each feature sometimes they aren't stated that clear (alpha/beta/etc..). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We have been using Google Cloud SDK internally at our company from the start and it has been a treat to work with. The pricing is flexible and adapts to our product use, plus we got a free one year trial and a few hundred dollars worth of credits at sign up. Almost every Google Cloud Platform products are located into one place with this SDK which makes it easier to use the correlating APIs. The tools are flexible on any platform, we can confirm them working well on Linux and Windows servers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Documentation is as important as the product, and I believe Google could improve on theirs. We did found most of our answers through their support channels, but some had to be found on external website. They are getting better, almost perfect! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
