What do you like best about Google Authenticator?

Google Authenticator is easy to use and implement. Whenever I open a new account with an online service, I check if they offer two-factor authentication. If they do, I opt for Google Authenticator, scan the QR code, enter the code, and that's it.

It's very straightforward to use daily. I always log out of my accounts and log back in, so I frequently need it. I also change my passwords every two months because my work is online, and I need to be cautious.

The app is simple. I just click, and it works. It primarily offers a safety feature, and I don't see any additional features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Authenticator?

There's nothing I dislike about Google Authenticator; it's simple and effective.

However, I would prefer something physical rather than an app due to safety concerns in my country. This forces me to use three different cell phones. One is specifically for apps like Google Authenticator, while the others are for general use when I'm out and about. But this issue is more about my location than a fault with Google. If i don't know my password or have access to the old phone or email connected to it its hard to undo all the security to access my account. Would be nice for a seamless way to access my account if I no longer have the old email and phone. People change their phone and email often, it would be great to have customer rep verify our identify and easily reset our authenticator quickly so we can move on and secure the account faster rather than going through "forgot password" or whatever and still not be able to access account.
