What do you like best about Google App Engine?

This service is a reliable, scalable, and a very good platform for developing and deploying web applications. It allows us to write code and the managing part is taken by the GCP's infrastructure. The customer support at GCP is very good as they deeply investigate and provide us with good resolutions.

It has so many good features such as scalibiluy and better infrastructure maintnance.

Its easy to integrate App Engine with other products such as SQL etc.

The frequency of App engine I use is around once a week. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google App Engine?

I feel that It is not good for high CPU intensive apps. we also experience performance problems and also this service a bit expensive for high traffic load. The service sometimes throws error that are not very known to us.

Although it can be implemented at a good level. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Google App Engine solving and how is that benefiting you?

App Engine is solving such the problem of physical infrastructure management at my end, as it takes care of all the task at the scalibility level such as provisioning the servers, and scaling applications. also it handles the the security level things. This helps me to focus on developing and deploying my applications.

Its Scalability can automatically scale my applications up or down based on demand and its pay per use model is very good. It provides security features such as encryption. This helps to protect my applications from attack from the internet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Google Cloud?

I have used several Google Cloud sevices like VM instaces, BigQuery, Looker Studio, Cloud Composer, Cloud Storage etc. and have loved the overall experience of using the GCP services. It is actually pretty smooth to set up the whole cloud environment and give roles and permissions and use services. And most of the services are able to be integrated with other softwares quite easily. You can use Airflow directly with Google cloud composer, which is pretty great. I have been using GCP services since almost two years, on a daily basis and have been loving the overall google cloud environment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Cloud?

I have faced slow data refresh rate at times with Looker Studio. It used to take a long time to get updated data in sheets and it can't handle heavy data easily.

Also, GCP has definitely matured over the years, if we compare it to AWS, but still there are several areas where the services need to be more mature.

Also, one more thing which I noticed in my previous work was that there is no option to pause a Cloud composer environment. So, one will have no other choice but to delete it since you will still get charged if you don't delete it and in case you want to pause it for a while. And you will lose all your configurations and set up you did on the environment and will have to set new. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Google Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?

Google Cloud has help set up our cron jobs quite easily and helped with setting up the monitoring and worklow management using Airflow quite smoothly. You have all the services in one package, which is easier to manage. Also, Google Cloud Storage is comparatively cheaper and helps set up as an efficient data lake and quite helpful in storing important or redundant data which can be processed later. Overall, it has a bunch of great services, which help build and manage the whole system quite smoothly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Google Cloud?

It is easy solution for novice users to build a web site, like forums. It has many tools helping to build a site from scratch. For example, it has WordPress helping to develop a forum site and the configuration of a domain as well as instance is simple and straight forward. It is also highly scalable and provides $300 for users to begin. Its data backup solutions is also as good as other competitors. To recover from simple problem is simply clicking 'STOP' and then 'START' in the VM instance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Cloud?

It can be expensive, comparing to some free hosting services. It has only 3 global data centers which could make it less reliable comparing to the main competitors. The application engine is limited to only a few developing tools/languages. It is difficult to find documentations within Google Cloud. Users will have to go searching for help on Google. What problems is Google Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?

It is easy to set up and configure a forum like site on Google Cloud, starting from requesting for a domain name on Google domain. Tools such as Wordpress makes setting up a site easy. The Google Cloud Console, Compute Engine, and VM Instances to set up instance for a site is straight forward since it is easy to find youtube videos explaining the details step by step. What do you like best about Google Cloud?

Feature I like most about GCP is it provides high availability, scalability, fault tolerance, read replicas depending on different services. On top of it, also gives option to implement serverless application in which we don't have to provision any infrastructure of out application, it is automatically managed by Google Cloud only. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Cloud?

To manage data from on-premises to Google Cloud is difficult as networking is too much difficult to manage in GCP. And another thing I dislike is to manage billing, it doesn't give combine billing of some services like Cloud Dialogflow. It should also give notification if some resources have not been used from a longer time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Google Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?

As mentioned earlier, it provides serverless deployment option so we don't have to manage any infrastruture so untimately it removes headache to provision servers. It's great tool for analysis purpose using Bigquery and Looker. Another great thing I used so many times is Cloud Marketplace which gives feature to integrate third party providers to our application. It also stores archive data for a longer period which reduces storage cost. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The best part of using Google cloud is the ease with which one can access the wide range of its products. Awesome user interface and easy to implement features is the best part of using GCP.

Also with the introduction of Qwiklabs one can easily play around with the different products of GCP and learn more about it.

What do you like best about Google App Engine?

What I like best about Google App Engine is its scalability and ease of use. The platform automatically handles the scaling of applications, which means that as your user base grows, your app can handle the increased traffic without any additional configuration or effort on your part. This eliminates the need to worry about server capacity and allows you to focus on developing your application. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
