"Excellent Free User Activity Tracking & Analysis with gtag"
What do you like best about Google Analytics?

Basically, we’ve used it to track user activity—what users are doing on the website, like scrolling and clicking. We also use it to understand the source where the traffic is coming from. On the implementation side, we set it up in the code with gtag to track these actions, and we use it across our users’ platforms, including both the app and the website. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Analytics?

There’s nothing better for free user activity tracking and analysis. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful Analytics with Room for Setup Improvement"
What do you like best about Google Analytics?

I mainly use Google Analytics for monitoring visitors and conversions from Google Ads and tracking pages. It helps me understand user behavior, identify which pages users visit most, and track where they are coming from, like ads, referrals, etc. I appreciate its ability to understand drop-offs, diagnose problems, and fix them. One of the most valuable features is conversion goals or event tracking, which helps track actions like form submissions, sign-ups, purchase events, and button clicks. This makes it easier to measure return on investment and understand what's driving results. I find the tool useful for measuring website performance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Analytics?

When Google Analytics was upgraded to GA4 from Universal Analytics, it was harder to set up and understand initially. Conversion and event tracking need more configuration and effort. Reports don't feel always straightforward. Better reporting and easier setup would improve the experience. Simplifying the event and conversion setup with guided setup and clearer explanations of metrics, as well as simpler report navigation, would be beneficial since sometimes it needs more clicks for short and basic insights. "Powerful Insights and Real-Time Tracking for Data-Driven Decisions"
What do you like best about Google Analytics?

Google Analytics provides clear and detailed insights into website traffic and user behavior, helping track performance in real time. It makes it easy to measure marketing effectiveness, understand audience engagement, and make data-driven decisions through powerful and customizable reports. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Analytics?

Google Analytics can feel complex and overwhelming, especially for new users. Some reports are difficult to navigate, advanced features require a learning curve, and data sampling or delays can make analysis less straightforward. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A powerful tool, but requires experience"
What do you like best about Google Analytics?

I like that Google Analytics allows you to see exactly which pages users spend the most time on and which sections they ignore. I especially appreciate the ability to track every stage of the customer journey—from the first visit to the purchase, which is critically important for online stores. Google Analytics is actively used in conjunction with many other tools to enhance analysis capabilities, data visualization, and marketing automation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Analytics?

Non-intuitiveness: The transition to an event-driven data model has made the interface less transparent for regular users. Many basic reports that were available with one click in the old version now need to be assembled manually in the "Explorations" section. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The Modern Standard for Website Analytics"
What do you like best about Google Analytics?

I use Google Analytics to monitor website traffic and performance of metrics across our sites. I find the explore feature particularly useful for building quick, intricate funnel views. Its interface is easy to use, which is a big plus. I also appreciate its ability to save time in building small dashboards, making it easier for non-data personnel to self-serve. With Google Analytics, I can A/B test any parts of the user journey where we see a big drop-off, which is valuable for optimization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Analytics?

I don't like that Google Analytics doesn't clearly define bots and outline how many users or numbers are affected by them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless to Use with Powerful Analytics Features"
What do you like best about Google Analytics?

I use Google Analytics to analyze marketing data for various pages like my product and solution pages, blogs, and to understand user journeys, engagement, and bounce rates. It helps me in understanding different page performances and user behavior. What I like most about Google Analytics is that it's easy to use, and the freeform and page path features are really useful. I get most of the important engagement metrics that I need. I use the freeform feature to find landing pages that led to demos and pricing pages, and also form fill-ups. The page path feature helps me analyze the entire user journey before they take an action, like filling out a demo or pricing form. The initial setup was very easy, and I'd give it a 10 out of 10 in terms of recommending it to others. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Analytics?

I dislike that the scroll depth tracking feature is missing and could be added. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Google Analytics is great for SEO marketers , but needs work on a user friendly UI"
What do you like best about Google Analytics?

1.Audience data that go beyond surface‑level

It doesn’t just tell you *how many* people visited — it shows:

- where they came from

- what devices they use

- how engaged they are

- how often they return Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Analytics?

The UI is very corporate. You can customize a lot, but not always in the ways you want.

Some metrics are locked behind specific views, and building custom explorations can feel clunky. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Comprehensive Traffic Insights, Seamless Integration"
What do you like best about Google Analytics?

I use Google Analytics to analyze my website's performance, from traffic acquisition to user behavior. It lets me see where my traffic is coming from and how they convert, allowing me to keep track of how much revenue my website, specific channels, and landing pages generate. I like that it's natively integrated with many Google and third-party tools. I also appreciate the customizable reporting. Default sessions channel attribution is a feature I really appreciate because it solves the problem of grouping different sources into larger traffic segments like paid, organic, and email. The initial setup was simple enough, with the only challenge being custom event tracking. For traffic acquisition analytics, I'd rate it a 10 out of 10. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Analytics?

I don't have faith in Google being able to track users perfectly across multiple sessions and even more so across multiple devices. This has also made the reporting less convenient, especially the way goals and goal conversion rates are presented in the standard reports. The hardest part is setting up custom event tracking. What do you like best about Google Analytics?

Google Analytics is a reliable and professional system that offers the best digital features for analyzing your customers' preferences and business requirements, improving and personalizing their entire user experience.

I can also say that Google Analytics offers advanced and interactive integration with the best applications and work systems, facilitating the collection and analysis of all your organization's digital data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Analytics?

I have nothing bad to say about the performance of Google Analytics' digital features and resources, I can recommend using this system because of the quality of all its virtual resources. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
