I love the transcription. we have lots of existing video demo content which we need to either produce equivalent written content for, or share with customers with markers for them to skip to the area relevant for them. The gong transcription, summary and video marker tools make it so fast for us to skip to the right part, remember what's been said in a meeting, or create cropped demo content that can be shared Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I haven't found too many negatives so far. It would be good to be able to upload a video thats been recorded by someone else (e.g chris) and have the transcription notes say "chris said" rather than Holly said, since I (Holly) uploaded it for transcription. this is minor though Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Conversation Intelligence allows sellers to focus on the meeting and not notetaking. The data that can be gathered and analyzed after the call inside of Gong is priceless. Helps sellers follow up better. Front line managers can easily see who's performing well and be notified without having to sit through entire meetings. Saves a ton of time. Gong lets me stay focused and engaged in all my meetings by taking all the notes for me. It is extremely beneficial because it allows me to be actively listening to my clients and discover real pain points that they have, leading to business for myself. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only thing I dislike about Gong is that it sometimes can not show up on the meeting, and I just wish I would recieve a notification if the person I am meeting with has declined the Gong recording so that I can prepare otherwise for the meeting (notebook pen etc). 1. I've noticed that recorded calls are sometimes available a bit later than expected, which can make it tricky to review and analyze conversations in a timely manner.

The intuitive and AI-driven nature of Gong is literally one of the only ways I can continue to be successful in my career in sales. For example, as someone frequently clogs her own calendar with customer meetings, I find it very hard to remember to enter in notes into our CRM, and sometimes even forget what I need to do as follow-up to a call. Since using Gong, specifically Gong Engage, it's cut down any (sometimes all) time I spend on follow-up, freeing me to focus more time on larger priorities.
It's also amazingly easy to find call recordings and notes, in order to remind myself of meetings from months before, especially if it's a prospect who has ghosted me and then shows up all of the sudden, wanting to revisit the conversation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Gong is a great way to ensure our marketing team is on the pulse of our prospective and existing customers, at scale. Before we'd try to sit in on sales calls, but it was an organizing nightmare and hard to go back to reference call details or share snippets with others. Gong is a game-changer for me as a product marketer in better understanding our prospects pain points in their own language, what objections and questions they have, and how our messaging is resonating. The transcription has gotten better but still isn't quite as good as I'd hope. And similar with the tools like text recognition from screen sharing (e.g. for searching for calls where salespeople are using specific marketing assets). I love that gong can easily integrate with our Zoom account to record our calls for business. What's better is the AI-integration the summarizes the video. Which means that I have 3 options- I can listen/watch the video, or review the transcript, or just read the AI summary. Either way I have move than enough ways to get notes from the meeting. How quickly it executes an incredible amount of useful insights, conversation and action summaries, amalgamated insights from previous interactions and data to accelerate your learning and improve your own practice. It occasionally does some inaccurate transcriptions of what was said and / or who said it. But this has not fundamentally impacted my ability to draw insight from the recordings and to be really honest a lot of the time the incorrectly transcribed words are quite funny and a source of entertainment to share with peers on occasion.
