Getting my domain set up and linking it to my existing Blogger blog was easy. I am not good at thing like that, but I called GoDaddy and they were very helpful. They told me what to do on my end and they made sure it was working before ending the call. I had one issue with the site, and I called and they helped me through every step again. I wish there was not a mandatory charge for Private registration in addition to the domain fee. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
GoDaddy has become very skilled at being entirely unhelpful. Their products are trash. Their support is trash. The one thing they do well is gatekeeping their support. They make it extremely difficult to get help. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Where to begin.. Their customer service is the most atrocious, intentionally unhelpful, and infuriating experience I have ever had with tech support groups. GoDaddy support agents are trained to make it almost impossible to actually get through to the point where they will actually help you, and even then, they typically refer to outdated and incomplete guides or state that the customer has to deal with the issue on their own. After several security checks and providing them my pin number that is supplied in my account dashboard, they still say the pin is wrong. OK, they will send a new pin to my email on file, but the email never arrives. So, they say they can't help and hang up on me when I asked for tier 2 support. That was after 45 minutes of being on hold. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing! They are a scam! Stay away from them! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
GoDaddy’s business practices are deceptive, and I strongly advise against using their services. Here’s what happened to me:
They pressured me into purchasing a yearly plan under false pretences. On January 17, 2025, I wanted to build an official website for my domain X.com. Support assured me my draft site (X5.godaddysites.com) would automatically merge into my main domain within 24 hours. They also explicitly promised a 30-day full refund before processing the charge on my behalf (CA$188.03). (X=my domain name)
They double-charged me for the same service. Despite the assurance that my draft site would merge, I was billed again on January 24, 2025 (CA$161.15) for a separate renewal on X5.godaddysites.com. This was never authorized.
They changed their refund policy after my purchase and refused to honour their agent’s commitment. When I requested a refund on February 5, they claimed the refund window was only 7 days, even though their policy was only updated on January 25—after my purchase. They are now applying this retroactively, disregarding the 30-day guarantee they gave me when pressuring the sale.
They keep stalling and making excuses. I followed up multiple times (February 5, February 24, and today 12 March), and every time, they either asked me to wait or repeat the false 7-day refund policy. No one takes responsibility, and they refuse to check previous conversations where their agent committed.
Up to today, my website has never been updated, the service got cancelled on 5 Feb after my compliant, and no refund has been made.
This company operates on bait-and-switch tactics, pressures customers into purchases, and retroactively changes policies to deny refunds. If you value transparency and customer trust, stay away from GoDaddy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's easy to purchase a domain. GoDaddy has this process down and it's simple with reasonable prices. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I called to find out how to grant access to a third party company and the support staff said she'd help me with the issue but proceeded to etch out her own agenda in reviewing many of the features that I did not have. After begging her to help with my issue two or three times, I had to hang up and complete a meeting before trying again to get my question answered. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Honestly Nothing. These guys are rude. Just Stay AWAY Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
GoDaddy, 5 years ago use to be really good. Now I am in the process of moving ALL of my services away from GoDaddy and adding a surcharge to any of my clients that use GoDaddy. Support is rude and doesn't listen. They asked numerous times for me to send a screenshot of my issue over the phone and I explained that I need an email to send it to. They insisted I can do it over the telephone. I explained that I cannot send an image with my voice.
Their hosting is not allowing me to directly access files in the URL bar. I changed ALL permissions to full access in the file browser and FTP. If you have a WordPress site and want to upload a custom PHP file.
I explained to them that I'm trying to migrate a WordPress installation to their hosting and have a php file to extra my zip file. They suggested another free method which I tried before and explained to them I didn't work.
They then said I can PAY to have them do this for me... Yet on their website it states they offer free WordPress migrations.
The support then said I was abusive and threatened to ban me because I said "Dude".
I asked multiple times for a manager. The support agent PROMISED me that if I hang up a manager will call back. What a MISTAKE! They never did, so I waited on hold for an hour and finally got through, someone did call me back from GoDaddy but without saying a word they hung up.
I fought for 5 hours trying to get a simple support question fixed. Any other hosting company could easily look at my issue, this support agent refused to even look at the hosting in question. It's almost as if they don't have access. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Buying domains is quite easy, pricing is ok. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have never written a review for anything. But I have so much time at my hands, waiting for their live customer support agent to respond that I am writing this review. I have spent 2 hours before, trying to get an answer to my question & violently shut down by rude customer service agent. Now I have spent 1 hour, trying to get help for transferring a domain I sold through Afternic (also their own platform). The customer support agent is blaming me for not following correct steps while listing my domain. Keeps sending me the link explaining how to list a domain for sale. I have sold the domain! I received the email saying that the domain is sold. Still, they are blaming me for the inability to transfer this domain. Absolutely ridiciulous situation. In total, I have wasted 3 hours of my life talking to their "support". 3 hours I will never get back. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Go Daddy is extremely user friendly. I've been able to design our own web page with ease. There are tools and prompts to help keep things simple. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I use other platforms for forms which is fine. But if it was a one stop shop it would work better for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
If you want to auction your held domain names then "GoDaddy Domain Auctions" is the best place to go. Since its a addon service provided by GoDaddy itself. One of the best ways to cashin on your pre held domain names. Their subscription starts at $4.99 / year. GoDaddy has one of the highest user traffic so buying and selling of domain names is at a premium. Their interface is easy to use and one can bid of multiple domains. You can add multiple domain names on to the auction as well. They have very strong customer support which help us during the domain transition as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish GoDaddy can provide some kind of notification which can notify us on certain (pre selected)domains that we would like to buy. So that we can bid early and get the benefit. Rest is nothing to dislike since GoDaddy is one the best domain hosting platforms Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have nothing positive to say about GoDaddy. The worst. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The worst customer service experience of my life. Been trying to fix a problem that downed my website and my email for 3 days. My business is suffering. Despite being a long time customer, GoDaddy's is refusing to override a system lockout caused by too many failed login attempts. Their response has been "nothing we can do." I've never encountered a company that is willingly causing harm to a customer's reputation and business. I was a customer for 20 years with Media Temple before it was purchased by GoDaddy. The second I get control of my domain, I will be immediately closing my account. Unbelievably, they are actually trying to sell me an alternate domain. Insanity. User-friendly interface, country-based pricing policy, comprehensive support system, and the ability to do everything that can be done on the web on a single platform. Whether you are an agency or an individual, GoDaddy offers solutions for everyone. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Insufficient servers. There should be more server options instead of just Europe or America. For example, GoDaddy has been providing service in my country for many years but still does not have a server. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
