Their customer support is one of the best support system. It has some good functionality such as the ability to digitally mount other file shares and have them become part of it's file system, but are times we run into an issue with it's ability to apply permissions. EFT does it all **What do you dislike about Globalscape?** EFT's console could introduce some new features involving a better way to migrate to a newer version or more control in the process of creating event rules, applying changes is not as intuitive as it could be since you can't move in the administration console without applying or discharging changes in the current tab you were working on. **Recommendations to others considering Globalscape:** Very simple to set up, even easier to use, WTC is our go to tool now since it eliminated the need of FileZilla, WinSCP and other FTP clients. Exchanging information with other companies is very easy since WTC can be the central hub of transfers with everyone **What problems is Globalscape solving and how is that benefiting you?** EFT made our processes more secure, since there's no human interaction in a lot of data transfers/transformations, as well as it made custom build scripts and batch processes useless since we migrated all automatization to EFT in a fairly simple way. For example, we have a script that automatically moves each downloaded file to a subfolder '.archive'. With this, automated download scripts don't have to keep track of what files they have downloaded, they can just download whatever is the root user folder. But, manually one can log in and access that archive for previous files. Another use is instead of having a script run on a schedule to look for uploaded files, that script can be called immediately upon upload - don't have to worry about accessing a partially uploaded file, don't have the inelegance of running a script blindly on a schedule. Event driven scripts are great! **What do you dislike about Globalscape?** Lack of AD integration for admin access. Could handle logging of blocked access due to IP restrictions better, right now it seems invislble. **Recommendations to others considering Globalscape:** Don't look for the cheapest solution, look for the best. Consider all the features in the base 'express' version that you get for the cost. Realize that by using a lesser solution you will have to live with flaws that may become unacceptable. **What problems is Globalscape solving and how is that benefiting you?** SOC 2 & PCI compliant file access with 3rd parties. Smart processing of uploaded and downloaded files with event driven scripts. Automatic IP blocking is a nice layer within our security model. ### 13. The way the automated file transfers are built is the best feature of EFT I can think of. Drag and drop functionalities that can help you build any automated workflow in minutes as complex or simple as you need. **What do you dislike about Globalscape?** EFT Should include auto-save features to Event Rules and keyboard shortcuts such as undo/redo in a way that building these automated workflows, as simple as they are, could be developed in a more user friendly way. The way you delete or modify an Event Rule is not ideal but it gets the job done. **What problems is Globalscape solving and how is that benefiting you?** We used to have everything done manually, connecting to a FTP Server manually to drop files to a third-party, building ETLs manually via batch files or scripts and building one FTP Site for each customer/company that wanted to exchange files with us. With EFT Server all of this is in the past, everything is automated and we love how WTC(Web Transfer Client) is now our go-to tool for every file transfer requirement that we have. ### 15. Global escape should fix this issue. **What problems is Globalscape solving and how is that benefiting you?** Earlier users used to us third party application to transfer the files, but now EFT has provided a solution where user can share the files through EFT web based portal. ### 24. The AD integration is very basic and it doesn't actually tie into our other systems or user bases very well. **What problems is Globalscape solving and how is that benefiting you?** EFT has really helped us to securely send big files to customers and vendors. E-mail is very limited in size, and our old solution maxed out at 1GB. EFT is easy to use for both ends, it is farily customizable on the interface and it just works. It runs on-prem which is really good for government contractors and other security minded firms, and the only file size limiter is the amount of disk you allocate to the server. I recommend it overall. ### 31.
