Globaledit has been a great tool to utilize, as a retoucher it allows my team and I to work seamlessly with our remote counterparts – creative and art directors across the country are able to easily make selects and leave notes in any format that are all immediately available on our end. Not necessarily a downside, but one area of opportunity would be the ability to download raw files with layered markups – being able to download raw images straight from globaledit has been a game changer and added efficiency to our workflow, so much so I'd love to take it a step further and be able to download the markups right along with those raw files which isn't currently possible. I really like using the Markups where I can choose to select a portion of the image and write a comment. I also like uploading updates as a version that stacks on top of the original file to easily compare before/after. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I dislike about globaledit is the cost and charges for storage space. Every version of a file uses up more storage space. We end up having to go back and delete original files in order to save storage space to reduce costs. There is not a way to batch delete original assets either, so it becomes time consuming to do this. I do not like the glitches that have come with the functions of the import bot color and label automations and not having a way to batch change those import bot color tags and labels when needed. What I enjoy the most is its capacity to organize & visually / quickly see the assets I need or am looking for. I also really like how quickly I can sign in with my Google account. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I think the download times can be much faster and have a more visible download button available. Lastly, I would say that the upload process should be streamlined without needing a USB or drive, and simply house the assets like a cloud would, but again I'm not aware if this process is exclusive to my company or GE. As a photographer, the platform has given me back complete control of my digital workflow while at the same time, providing service to my commercial and celebrity clients. Instead of sending costly drives and loosing my creative voice and control of selects and proofs, I can still create with my clients without compromising the integrity of my work. A lot of times it is hard to locate the hires images I need - the search sometimes does not work but if I try again it will fix itself. I also have an issue with sharing to vendors - I should be able to share collections with them but I have to contact tech support occasionally to fix this issue. I have enjoyed my experience working with GE. The platform provides an easy way for a high-growth scaling organization to manage all imagery and easily communicate with one another. The platform is intuitive and allows new users to get onboarded quickly. As a Director of Marketing, I love how the platform will enable me to create albums and photo groups so I can better plan my content strategy! Highly recommend! Globaledit is a little slow when downloading images. The markup tool can sometimes be a little buggy, but it's not a significant issue. Keyboard short cuts would be great to have when switching between markup tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I recently tried using the GlobalEdit Photoshop Plug-in tool and was disappointed that every action had to be done to images individually, not in batches. It's not an efficient workflow for me, and I can't continue to use the plug-in as it is now. I'm looking forward to seeing what upgrades there are for the plug-in in the future. The tool is intuitive and connects cross-functional teams seamlessly. The platform allows the teams to add assets at the time of shoot and work through edits and reviews. Additionally, collections allow us to share final edits to marketing and other cross-functional teams easily that increases visibility and transparency for the look and feel for a given season.
