Very Unique and perfect for the right company " 4.5/5 What do you like best about Global Shop Solutions ERP? After using it for almost 4 years now, I see the unique power of the software! It is extremely customizable the likes of which you rarely see if software today! You can truly, using your own team and knowledge, make GSS the exact type of erp system you need, if you know how to tweak it! That is the most amazing and yet hardest part of GSS! It has taken me years to do, but I have learned how to tailor it to do what I need for my company! Custom reports, dashboards, data integration, automation, is all possible and allowed by GSS. Direct access to the underlying database is available, allowing you to pull data via sql scripts and this makes integration possibilities endless! I am pulling custom data to excel files using an ODBC driver, which updates the data in real time in excel! The full power of this software took time to uncover, but once you harness it, it’s endless where you can take it! If your the kind of business or team that just wants something to work and has no tech skills at all and relies entirely on external IT support, this is not for you! If your a tech minded person that does not shy away from DIY projects and really reading the help files and digging into systems, this is for you! It’s like having a Linux computer with endless custom abilities vs a MAC computer which just works but is what it is. GSS is not the MAC, it is Linux and will require customizing and if you have the ability to customize, then jump in! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Global Shop Solutions ERP? They are heading in the right direction, integrating AI, upgrading their code for .NET and migrating away from COBOL slowly. I heard they are using AI now to spot issues with customer systems before they release hot fixes, which is great! GSS is doing EDI from our customer. We are tracking our inventory and costs via work orders. All purchasing is done with it and financials and accounting is generated in the system. Labor performance reports are great and we just implemented the quality system where scrap and rework is updated in real time and tracked properly to operators and my entire team is involved in quality projects for ISO through GSS! What do you dislike about Global Shop Solutions ERP? Still no perfect solution for a shot that has tools that can operate on more than one work center. The consultants are adept at suggesting workarounds for this issue, but it adds quite a bit to the complexity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. They have bootcamps that are free to attend in their Houston headquarters. The CEO even stops into each class to introduce himself and answer questions. We switched to global shop after getting fed up with having data store in many different places like Excel Sheets, Quickbooks, Officebooks, Google Drive, and personal hard drives. We simply couldn't keep our rate our rate of growth while having so many different system to manage. Global Shop ERP helped get this all consolidated into one easy to use platform. I also like that you can personalize your user menu to easily find the things that you use every day. I also like the recent update done to the CRM module, it's much more user friendly. The operating system is very slow and takes a long time to load. Each screen requires several clicks just to process a set of information.
