It is use for reviewing work within organization. If you are building one something and you want to refer it from a centralised repository of all codes so this is the place. Collaboration and version control becomes seamless. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

GitHub is an amazing Source Code Management Tool & versioning tool. Compatible with all the popular IDEs like VS Code, make life so so easier. Provides a lot of features to collaborate and manage the projects. Feature rich in Automation & CI/CD, Security(MFA), client apps connectivity and project management. Initial learning curve w.r.t. the behaviour, functioning and the commands to perform actions like commit, push, pull, etc. After a while you get used to it, and it actually makes the work much more easier as it has an extensive documentation as well as help options for each command. I like that everything is present in one place, from creating public repositories to deploying on GitHub pages. This makes it more wholesome in itself, and since it is free to use and share what all you have made so far, it is great to use as a fresher or student in the computer science field. Though it is a great platform, things like the security code on every login are irritating. Platform-wise, there are limited options for deployment as applications based on the backend cannot be directly deployed here, which I count as a drawback as only frontend-based applications deployment is not enough.
