The platform itself is well known and almost everyone knows how to properly use Github so this is totally a plus. But seeing that they have been doing great work to keep updated with the trends is great to see. The copilot was a timely and well-done addition. Also when they improved the code search on their platform was great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I think one of the first things that come to mind is some monetization decisions. Like for example the fact that the copilot for companies is almost double of the price of one for a developer alone seems kinda weird when they don't really state quickly and easily why the different pricing. The process of learning how to use it properly can be difficult for novices. For new users, there are numerous features and ideas to grasp, like branches, pull requests, and merging, which might be overwhelming. Also, Only who have paid subscription can access some cutting-edge features and tools. Small teams or individual developers that are unable to purchase a subscription may find this to be a hurdle. Github is a clear favorite among developers, and for good reason. One of the best features it offers is free website hosting that doesn't even require a domain name. This has been extremely helpful in allowing me to upload and distribute source code files related to my training topics without any hassle or delay in getting things done. I am genuinely grateful to Github for saving me hours with its streamlined workflow - an invaluable lifesaver. In addition, the collaborative coding between team members on individual modules makes Github particularly efficient when working together as opposed to independently, which speaks incredibly well for the platform's overall capabilities. GitHub is an extremely powerful and useful tool, but as with any technology, there are risks to consider before using it. If changes made to a live project cause changes or bugs to revert back to the master branch, it can be difficult to recover older versions, as potential bug squashing from future updates can completely wipe out previously saved states. Before using GitHub for real-world settings, always make sure you have enough knowledge to achieve the expected results without unexpected setbacks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It helps me to work on the same project with my team and manage version control. I can also track my team's code. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes the copy code feature on the web app doesn't work for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

GitHub can have a steep learning curve for beginners, especially if they are new to version control and collaboration tools.
As projects grow in size and complexity, managing code and collaboration can become more challenging, and users may need to learn more advanced features and techniques.
These are a few things that I think can be better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It simplifies the process of open source project development. With its powerful version control system, developers are able to maintain secure repositories, track changes between versions, and collaborate with their team effectively. Additionally, Github offers various other tools for project management such as time tracking and third-party integrations with popular applications like Slack and Google Drive - making it an ideal platform for teams of all sizes. The interface is overly complicated and difficult to use. It's unclear who is on each project team and what they have contributed. There aren't many options for customizing repository settings. It can be hard to keep track of any updates from projects one is invested in. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The feature I like best about Github is the User experience. They have built a lot of features and functionality into their website and they have created an experience that allows you to quickly and easily navigate through those features. The most commonly used features are front and center and "one click" away, while the less used features are grouped and organized so that you can find what you are looking for by navigating down a logical path. Github has many poiwerful features. Some of them are very similar, but different in their functionality. Github doesn't always do a good job of explaining the minute differences between the features. So it can be frustrating trying to ensure you've enable/disabled exactly the right functionality. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Intefrace is very clear. Also activity history is very nice addition. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Package version update reminder could be frustrating from time to time, but at the end it is a good idea. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Collaborations, Space, Pages, Smart Project guide, privacy, etc there are so many things that are Github's best features. The best part among these are Pages, in my opinion, as it gives me a domain to host my project and manage my workflows, it's so good. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There's a bit of AI part in GitHub which can be worked on. I use other tools such as Jetbrains space which has the upper hand on GitHub due to its AI integration along with my project management features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Its system allows you to test different versions and iterate until you find the right model. Linking Gits from the best developers is a pleasure, and while it's not especially friendly to non-advanced users, it has everything you need to get through the learning curve comfortably and intuitively. Its social capabilities are among the best on the entire internet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is a digital product very aimed at developers, perhaps it could improve if in its own ecosystem they taught the uninitiated to squeeze its features Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
