## GitHub Reviews
  ### 1. Great for practicing for freshers

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ritika P. | Associate Software Engineer, Computer Software, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 02, 2022

**What do you like best about GitHub?**

I like that everything is present in one place, from creating public repositories to deploying on GitHub pages. This makes it more wholesome in itself, and since it is free to use and share what all you have made so far, it is great to use as a fresher or student in the computer science field.

**What do you dislike about GitHub?**

Though it is a great platform, things like the security code on every login are irritating. Platform-wise, there are limited options for deployment as applications based on the backend cannot be directly deployed here, which I count as a drawback as only frontend-based applications deployment is not enough.

**What problems is GitHub solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I do not have to pay any amount while using the services here. It is a free, open-source platform. The collaboration feature is also beneficial to me as I can improve anybody else's code and vice versa without any hassle of credentials and vpn.

Solves the problem of orgainizing, maintaining and versioning various codes.
Helps in Continuous Delivery of the code.
Easy to track changes made to the code by anyone.

**Reviewed Date:** April 20, 2023

**What do you like best about GitHub?**

Integration with almost anything & advanced features, Instant job runners, good experience & availability, etc

**What do you dislike about GitHub?**

Not as many, I really like the experience in general, however there are few bugs in like actions showing only few trails, such as in Terraform Plan steps, might be fixed to improve overall experience, but the issue is intermittent.

**What problems is GitHub solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Instant availability of runners for autodeployments. Hence, hassle free CICD

  ### 6. Thoughts on GitHub

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** samuel a. | Associate Software Quality Assurance Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 14, 2023

**What do you like best about GitHub?**

GitHub is open source version control that the public can use. It enhances collaborations and enables users to track differences between files. GitHub can be accessed everywhere and at any time.

**What do you dislike about GitHub?**

One must be familiar with coding before he/she can use the command line.

**What problems is GitHub solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The introduction of GitHub in the team helped us in terms of collaboration and running automated scripts in the CI Pipeline (GitHub Actions). Hosting of written codes by the test team and keeping track of changes in files.

**Reviewed Date:** May 30, 2023

**What do you like best about GitHub?**

It does everything I need it to in the DevOps lifecycle.

The management of the DevOps lifecycle.

  ### 8. Github review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lenix L. | Research And Development Associate Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 21, 2023

**What do you like best about GitHub?**

Github makes it very convenient for me as a developer to ensure that the development cycle is carried out efficiently. The platform is very responsive and easy to understand even for an amateur.

**What do you dislike about GitHub?**

There isn't much to dislike about Github honestly. There is sometimes a noticeable lag while pushing large branches. This however is sporadic, but can be often extremely annoying when handling large projects.

**What problems is GitHub solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ease of use and backups.
As a user i don't have to go through a rigorous learning curve. Github is quite easy to understand. I can spawn new branches without having to worry about crashes and regressions but maintaining individual branches

  ### 9. Best code hosting & git version control I have used till now

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eapen Z. | Co-Founder CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 05, 2022

**What do you like best about GitHub?**

Git Hub is very easy to use with a friendly UI. GitHub is also equipped with a good CI/CD, so in most cases, you don't have to depend on third-party services. Another feature I love is the project management tool i.e the built-in Kanban board is good enough to manage a project. In one sentence GitHub offers all the tools necessary for software development.

**What do you dislike about GitHub?**

GitHub should be an open source platform to host open source code. Though it uses a lot of open source code I don't think Microsoft commits enough to reward those developers. And I think this is the major reason many developers are leaving for alternatives like GitLab.

**What problems is GitHub solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use GitHub for version control, code hosting and project management for all my projects both personal and professional. It saves a lot of time and as it is currently the most commonly used, almost all my developers are familiar with it. GitHub also offers integration with major deployment platform so it made our task easy

  ### 10. Github is a fantastic tool for building.

**Reviewed Date:** March 01, 2023

**What do you like best about GitHub?**

The pull request system on GitHub allows teams to review code changes, discuss suggestions, and merge changes all in one place. It allows developers to easily share code files and collaborate with other developers. This makes it easier to detect bugs and maintain high code quality. It offers a variety of collaboration tools to assist teams in working effectively together, such as issue tracking, project management, and wikis.

**What do you dislike about GitHub?**

Good dashboards will certainly help users

**What problems is GitHub solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Code review becomes simple with the help of GitHub

  ### 12. Best code sharing and collaboration platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kavyansh P. | Software Engineer - II, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 08, 2022

**What do you like best about GitHub?**

1. Github is easy to use. We can share our code files without any hesitation. If you are pro member, you get facilities like creating private repos.
2. It is one of the best platform for open-source contributions as welll.
3. We get in place pipeline system that helps for deploying applications.
4. Very vast community support.

**What do you dislike about GitHub?**

It is the best collaboration tool. No complaints.
Some times things become messy when we got conflicts.
Keep in mind, Before pushing any code, it is recommend to take pull.

**What problems is GitHub solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I generally participate in open source and during events hacktoberfest, it is good to use github as participants and people can contribute on my repos through out the world.

  ### 13. Everything is great as long as you know what you are typing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** rahul V. | Software engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2022

**What do you like best about GitHub?**

The level of control you have with the commands, especially terminal wali. The management of versions of the same code written by different people. the merging, branches all are impressive in Github

**What do you dislike about GitHub?**

with great power comes great responsibility and that too is with Github, because if you are new to Github and you only know about a few commands' working (especially beginner), and somehow by mistake you got your hands dirty with advanced commands then things start becoming scary and scary. so I think there should be a level of knowledge badge attached to each user profile and only limited actions are allowed to perform. If the user wants to update the level of command then have to give some sort of test

**What problems is GitHub solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It makes the whole team at same level. when we are working on a project and we want everybody to have updated code, the basic level of managing is to code and merge manually but what if that scary task is done by somebody else only thing you have to do is push and pull (IN CODE ;) obviously )

  ### 14. Excelent tool to version control

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Juan Carlos P. | IT Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2023

**What do you like best about GitHub?**

I like the repositories, and how I can integrate them with cloud services

**What do you dislike about GitHub?**

almost none, I think this is a helpful tool

**What problems is GitHub solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a service in Azure, and we have to upload and publish new changes in our code, with GitHub, we just linked the repo, and the update is done automatically.

  ### 15. We leverage Github for efficiency.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joyleen O. | Platform Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 12, 2022

**What do you like best about GitHub?**

Github supports me to use markdown for writing formatted documents. Therefore, I use markdown for Github wikis, issue tracking , user comments etc
I will just say i use the markdown markup language for every documentation-related activity on the Github platform. My using markdown on Github has prevented the need to learn yet another programming language just to set-up projects.

**What do you dislike about GitHub?**

For every cloud based platform , there is a forever a risk of data/security breach. Since all informations saved on this platform only requires someone who has a login to breach them. I should state though that Github maintains provisions to reduce the likelihood for a data breach . A commendable provision made by Github will be the Dependabot feature , which I find very effective but I admit as well it is not foolproof and maybe nothing is.

**What problems is GitHub solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The need for a code hosting platform, where developers involved in team software projects can collaborate remotely is why we deployed Github. Github connects key aspect of our software development processes together (version control , software bug tracking , deployment ) . Connecting the aforementioned stages of product development together, has reduced product deployment time and made our processes a lot more efficient and measurable.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Traci P. | Developer Documentation Specialist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 06, 2022

**What do you like best about GitHub?**

I like that GitHub is so well-known and most people know how to use it. It makes working and collaborating with others easier.

**What do you dislike about GitHub?**

I guess this is probably a good thing but I am traveling and GitHub detected that my login was from a different place. For my own protection and security, GitHub blocked some actions and I needed recovery codes. I am still not sure how to get the recovery codes but it made things a little difficult and at the same time, GitHub security was top-notch.

**What problems is GitHub solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Version control, peer reviews
We use GitHuB and Stoplight to publish and maintain developer documentation. GitHub makes it easy for our team to work together.

Since GitHub is used mostly by the developers as compared to other platforms so it's easy to share our Code to other developers. And also many websites support GitHub repository.

**What do you dislike about GitHub?**

GitHub is not that easy to learn. It's hard to work on it.

The best part about Github is that one can easily create repositories and collaborate. There should be the option to delete the file, which is pushed to the branch.

**What do you dislike about GitHub?**

Only a single static site can be deployed via GitHub. There must be the option to deploy multiple static sites.

**What problems is GitHub solving and how is that benefiting you?**

GitHub has helped store the project code and work with the team in collaboration. Also, getting reviews from peers is a plus in improving the website. After editing any code, we can immediately update the code on GitHub by entering a few commands.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nico G. | Senior full stack engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 06, 2022

**What do you like best about GitHub?**

GitHub's UI is very straight forward. It is very easy to create issues and review PRs.
One new feature that is amazing is the possibility to open a Visual Studio Code like editor to navigate the PR code.

**What do you dislike about GitHub?**

I think the two weakest points that GitHub has are the discussions and wiki sections.
There is no way to receive notifications on discussions and contributing to the wiki is hard.
You need to do some thicks to version it.

**What problems is GitHub solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps us organize our code and review PRs. We spend quite a large amount of time looking at code there so we appreciate that the UI is clean and lets us see differences in an easy manner.

  ### 26. Git hub provides the version control for all the source code with all the team members.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mahesh S. | Senior Embedded Firmware Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 24, 2022

**What do you like best about GitHub?**

It has the most helpful bug tracking and issue-resolving feature which support handling the code versions with various updations. we have integrated visual studio, iar workbench and other IDE tools where all the newly developed source code is directly committed and pushed onto the git. It supports CI/CD for regression testing and provides the compare and pull request where the reviewer can check all the changes in the code. user don't have to invest in security because GitHub itself handles all the security related stuff.

**What do you dislike about GitHub?**

Sometimes push and pull method of the changes give confusion to users and sometimes is going mess up.It is very hard to synchronisation with local client.I do not like its web interface path. Its fork and commit feature used to purpose the changes in client repositories and sometimes it provides the issue to user.I could be improve its visual studio integration for source code development

**Recommendations to others considering GitHub:**

It has features to store the code and project related dtabase in one place where any tem member can access the database and source code anytime with various versions.Student and freelanceres can store their source code in the github without any charges.

**What problems is GitHub solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have Stores our source code for various versions and with easyness of code merging with various branch it supports project handling and integration with JIRA tool helps to resolve the bugs which is created by developer. Its git bash support our team to easily integrate various IDE tool which handles all the repositories.

  ### 27. A Powerful Blend of Social Interaction and Code

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eni S. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 04, 2022

**What do you like best about GitHub?**

Github has been great for our team because it adds powerful social interaction on top of the Git platform. Github's web interface makes it easy to discuss and link to code, manage changes, view deployment statuses, and so much more. It makes the code management process a pleasure instead of a confusing chore.

**What do you dislike about GitHub?**

I have few issues with the Github product itself, but I do take issue with the privacy rights that are handed over to Microsoft by using the platform. The CoPilot tool trained itself on open-source Github-hosted code with little respect to licenses for making derivative products.

**What problems is GitHub solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Github is making it easy to coordinate code reviews and changes in a simple-to-use user interface. Its VSCode integration makes effective change management accessible from right within the IDE.

1. Tracking of code,
2. Pull and push requests,
3. Code review,
4. Project management tools,
5. Recover code,
6. Tag feature awesome

**What do you dislike about GitHub?**

If there is a dependency on a centralized service, and the master server goes down, then all the development processes are disrupted.

**What problems is GitHub solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps us to solve bug tracking, build automation, and version controlling.

  ### 29. Github : The best version control you want for your project!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arjun R. | Associate Software Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 18, 2022

**What do you like best about GitHub?**

GitHub is an open-source version control tool available out there, and it is the best of its kind. It is recommended for college students who are looking to use a free but efficient tool to manage their code base and deployment. Github.io pages give an extra function to deploy a static website. Github is a user-friendly tool that also supports markdown files, which is easy for documentation purposes.

**What do you dislike about GitHub?**

Only one static site can be deployed through github.io facilities, the option to deploy multiple static sites would have been useful. Over the years, GitHub has not made any changes to its UI, more customization to the UI would have been nice. Other than that, it is the best of its kind.

**Recommendations to others considering GitHub:**

Github is a key pillar in the software engineering industry. Tons of open source projects with proper documentation can be found on GitHub. If you are a tech enthusiast like me, this is the best option to dive further into the software development industry.

**What problems is GitHub solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Storing project-related code is being done through Github. GitHub provides a smooth version controlling system through the git bash/ GitHub Desktop function. It is easier to integrate code through the Github repository to other deployment services and databases.

  ### 30. The leading standard for Git platforms.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Juliano V. | Software Engineering Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 23, 2022

**What do you like best about GitHub?**

Github makes my coding workflow just a seamless experience. I do not need to tap a colleague to remind them to make changes to our code base . As important as well, is the ability Github gives me to access and review previous changes made to a project, therefore allowing easy audition of code contributions made by every developer to a completed or active project.

**What do you dislike about GitHub?**

Github comes with an initial steep learning curve. Learning to clone repositories, merge branches and push changes are aspects of Github usage which a new user has to be very conversant with, to effectively use this tool.

**What problems is GitHub solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The need for inter connectivity between our code version history, repository and build integration is why we use Github. Integrating Github into our production environment, has allowed multiple users with overlapping duties to contribute and manage projects.

The pricing of GitHub Business users is comparatively high, and the User Interface is not good. Security -GitHub offers private repositories there is a chance of code leakage of private repositories from client repositories if sufficient restrictions are not done. Merge conflicts is not easy inGitHub UI

**What problems is GitHub solving and how is that benefiting you?**

GitHub is a version control tool for source code, it helps reduce the developer efforts in development as well is CI/CD. It helps reduce application time and deployment drastically and helps find security vulnerabilities.

  ### 34. Remarkable Code hosting platform

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pappu G. | System Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 27, 2022

**What do you like best about GitHub?**

1. Accessibility of code among the project member without any hassle.
2. Best platform where our code can be reviewed and improved by the public easily.
3. Easy syntax for pushing and pulling a code with proper tracking regarding what part of code has been changed by whom and at what time.
4. Overall Performance is very good in comparison to other code hosting platforms like GitLab, bitbucket and many more.

**What do you dislike about GitHub?**

1. The pricing charge is issued for a private project where only the members of the project get access to the code.
2. Process of authorization of the system to the respective Github account is quite a hassle process.
3. New user members get confused for the first time while creating a repository because of the user interface and various options.
Hence, new users get confused about what to select and what not to select.

**What problems is GitHub solving and how is that benefiting you?**

1. Exchange of code among the project member is now easy because of the GitHub platform
2. My code can be easily improved with the help of a public user.
3. I can also collaborate with other users and can use their code to improve my project or to gain new concepts.

  ### 35. One stop version and source code management tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shayan D. | Technology Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 12, 2022

**What do you like best about GitHub?**

Github might be the oldest scm tool I have used since my college days ( Recently shifted to bit bucket). It enhances the best practices of saving and maintaining versions during an application development lifecycle. The best part is when multiple developers are developing parallelly on an application, this cloud scm tool helps achieve that without any overlapping of codes/ functionalities. One can trace/ check the audits when the code is written/ modified/ deleted. It's very easy to use, just what you have to do is merge and push the code you have written at the end of the day. We have multiple tools like tortoise git and even most of the IDE comes with inbuilt GIT integrations, making it much easier to check in the codes.

**What do you dislike about GitHub?**

There is no dislike as such. The cloud Git UI is intuitive. But it can be made a bit better as in bitbucket, wherein it also provides a commit and branching timeline view.

**Recommendations to others considering GitHub:**

Most of the users in IT industry must have gone through some scm and version control tools. I would definitely recommend using GIT HUB, as apart from the functioning that most other tools provide, GIT HUB is free when used as public repository and cost minimal charges for creating private repository. The Github community is also huge. You will get a larger community if you shift to Github. There are lots of public contributions to the public Github repository which will help you to code better and faster.

**What problems is GitHub solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Git Hub is the cloud scm tool for maintaining source code and versioning them. In our company, we use it to maintain our java source code in GIT HUB. Lately, we have switched to bitbucket. Previously, during our college days, we use it to develop small software collaboratively with our college friends. Sometimes we use it to do college projects. One more thing we use is Git trigger which helps in triggering Deveops pipeline during code check-in in the master branch. This helps in saving a lot of time performing manual trigger.

  ### 36. Github is best application for develope best producbity and management of code

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

Public api, algorithm, user-friendly, using command the work is to easy, Upload code examples you've written and want to show off. and you can know about your code.

**What do you dislike about GitHub?**

One common misuse of GitHub profile data is in trying to filter out job candidates. People still seem to think that you can figure out how talented a developer is merely by looking at their open source contributions

**What problems is GitHub solving and how is that benefiting you?**

GitHub is the go-to tool for crafting blogs and other websites, but not everyone gets on board with it automatically. It pays to know why GitHub has high utility value before actually using it, as well as the small drawbacks that prospective users need to be aware of

**What do you dislike about GitHub?**

Resolving merge conflicts is tricky some times
Document with all the commands at one place will be helpful
No option to dele the files which are pushed to the branch
Automatio of adding ssh key is tricky

**What problems is GitHub solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Personal account: used yo maintain all the poc projects in one personal account.
Office account:cannot imagine the team working on same project without having github. Used in every project/team I worked to maintain the automation test projects for multiple apps

  ### 39. A blessing for fresher collaborators

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** PULKIT D. | Devops Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 20, 2022

**What do you like best about GitHub?**

I am fond of the platform since my very first day of using GitHub. The ease to use and understand, the feature of server deployment without any cost and the vast programming language support. And contributing on a public platform gives the best way to showcase all the projects.

**What do you dislike about GitHub?**

I don't like the speed and efficiency after a point. As once we deploy any project on GitHub pages and try to make changes in the same project it takes a while in displaying the new changes.

**What problems is GitHub solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can make unlimited repositories free of cost and even display all my projects at a single place just by sharing the link of my public profile in my resume or so.

  ### 40. Github is the most popular SCM provider. Easy to navigate, good documentation.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

  ### 41. GitHub - Best SCM in the market than other competitors

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Automotive | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 13, 2022

**What do you like best about GitHub?**

Markdown for text files which enhances the documentation for the repo and also improves productivity
Better integration with most of the IDE tools out there - I use IntelliJ, VS Code and PyCharm and integration is super fast
Easier interface and best in maintaining releases and PRs
GitHub Actions as a CI in GitHub repo makes deployment faster and easy to implement

**What do you dislike about GitHub?**

Security concerns are there as the repo is in cloud even after enabling organization-wide 2FA
Bit difficult for beginners in working with commit and push changes, needs bit training
Price wise bit costly for enterprise version
But overall GitHub is good than other competitors

**What problems is GitHub solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our entire organization SCM is managed by GitHub and integration with GitHub Actions for CI and its best for application lifecycle
Whenever I raise a PR, the changes are compared with the target branch and integration with Github Actions helps to perform validation checks before review for approval.
Also, the release cycle is easy to draft with proper comments and maintaining the releases are more easier as rollback is also so smooth
Therefore it helped us to manage entire SCM and deployment lifecycle at one place

  ### 42. GitHub-Best coding collaboration plateform.

**Reviewed by:** Pratik P. | WordPress developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 10, 2022

**What do you like best about GitHub?**

I have integrated git hub with my favourite text editor Sublime. Previously, I had to use different application to commit the code to the respective environment. Now using the editor and it's GitHub plugin made has the deployment simpler.

**What do you dislike about GitHub?**

GitHub is a powerful tool but it is difficult for beginners. Pricing is high as compared to the other applications.

**What problems is GitHub solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Previously, I had to take the backup of the project at the end of the day in zip which is a tedious process. But managing code versioning, comparing, and updating the repository is simpler with Github.

The solution is a bit more expensive than the competitors

**What problems is GitHub solving and how is that benefiting you?**

GitHub actions are a good solution for this

  ### 46. Good Git repository hosting service with issue tracker and project management tools

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ivan F. | Senior Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2022

**What do you like best about GitHub?**

I'd love you can host as many public or private Git repositories as you want. I also love how people can collaborate with them.
I'd like that it offers project management tools in kanban style.

**What do you dislike about GitHub?**

The project management tools are a bit limited.
I'd like that an issue can have subtasks but without creating a new issue for each one.
I'd like to be able to configure the pull-requets review cycle in different ways, for example offering how it's done now but also how Gerrit does.

**What problems is GitHub solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves the issue to host Git repositories remotely and how people can collaborate and contribute to them through a web interface.
It also offers continuos-integration through Github Actions.

  ### 47. Best version control platform

GitHub was very best used for sharing the code and project by its platform from anywhere around the globe, and multiple people can contribute to the project, at the same time, GitHub has also introduced recently there hosting service and it was quite impressive.

**What do you dislike about GitHub?**

There are no such things to dislike the GitHub, as there are a lot of world full things contributed to the engineering world, recently and it was very well used with Visual studio code editor and GitHub has some fabulous extensions.

**What problems is GitHub solving and how is that benefiting you?**

GitHub was very compatible with many code editors such as Visual Studio code editor, and it also helps to track the line of code through its git lens extensions and it's also easy to track the changes done at that duration.

  ### 48. Easy to manage code using GitHub version control

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mohammad Rashid R. | Technical Lead, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2022

**What do you like best about GitHub?**

The GitHub desktop application is one of the easiest and simplest version control tool. I like the easy and clean UI of GitHub and almost all git features using the UI GitHub.com.
I have been using gist also for single page codes and other details that I further use in my blog articles.

**What do you dislike about GitHub?**

Viewing all commits in one go feature is not present as this is in Bitbucket or GitLab. Rest all are perfect, I don't see any issue other than this.

**What problems is GitHub solving and how is that benefiting you?**

GihHub is helping to manage our project code versioning, which helps us to maintain the history of code and easily add and remove the newly added codes that are breaking applications or have a bug. Multiple members are working on the same project and code file and committing their changes without any issue. If there is any conflict in code that is easy we can resolve using the GitHub.com or GitHub desktop application by reviewing the changes.
