In my experience Git is one of the best version control system among all version control present now.

Git provided me the flexibility to manage and track my changes in my projects once synced with your repositories it is very fast actuely it is known for its speed and support for branching and merging.

By my personal experience working with git, i believe branching and merging has been easier. Feature branches, bug fixes and experimental branches can be easily managed. Git provides various incredible commands like stash, rebase, cherry-pick, reflog, reset ,etc which has solve a lot of problems related to find particular commit, go to particular commit, bring committed changes to your local branch, keep your changes without commit,etc. Git has a very active community.
