The UI is very clean as compared to Source Tree. The application is powerful and allows us to sync our Github account easily and view all the repos with just one click. Creating and merging the changes is very easy with the help of this software. The commit interface is super clean. Maintaining git is very easy now that's the best part for me. I didn't find anything that I dislike about it till now. It works perfectly. Though I must quote one thing, Sometimes while finding the branches, it takes time to find the desired branch. The developer should fix it in the next update. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The git rebase onto feature from git tower is amazing. Its easiest UI/UX that I have used.

Git Tower is the Git client for the mac as i am concerned. It is my go to tool in my every day work as a developer, it supports all my git tasks i need to do.
The use is easy, interface is very clear and clean and could not find a Git task i could not do. Also the undo functionality is a real life saver and the quick actions will elevate your productivity.
It supports all the well known Git Cloud services out of the box and intergrates very well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Git Tower is a very complete Git tool so there is not much to dislike, only part is the help section (website), get lost sometimes there but could be that Tower and Git are very big on what they can do so finding the thing in help is a thing Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like the Tower has a very intuitive UI. When compared to Souce Tree, Git Tower is more powerful. It allows me to sync to my GitHub account and view all of my repositories. I can even create new ones as well. Overall, the software runs very smooth. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I dislike that you have to purchase a license for it. I got my license for free because I am a student. But at $99/yr for a Pro license. Seems steep. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Hardcore devs will try to guilt shame you if you use and UI for the git command line...but Tower makes it all worth it. This tool is amazing for working with git. It is so nice to be able to swap to a separate dedicated app and view your changes in real-time without having to touch anything in a terminal. Being able to partially stage and commit files in the UI leads to smaller more atomic commits. It also makes creating, merging, rebasing, forking and so much more trivial. I have even converted some of the ardent cli users to Tower and they will never go back.
This is one of the few pieces of software I will pay for personal use instead of using free alternatives. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
This might be fixed, but there isn't a way to pull down a PR on top of a local branch directly. Not a huge deal but a minor inconvenience. It would also be great if they added support in the UI for conventional commits format. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

In my opinion, the best part of the app is its simplicity. The Git Tower team has done an incredible job in making it as easy to use as possible.
The job of a developer is complex enough as it is, so I appreciate every bit of help I can get in making things as smooth and intuitive as possible.
And for all the devs out there that prefer the command line, I feel you. I was actually a heavy git CLI user. And sometimes I still fall back to it if I'm already in the terminal.
But let me tell you that with Tower you can save even more keystrokes with the keyboard shortcuts. And on top of that, you'll free up some valuable mental space 😉 Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
To be honest... there's not a single thing that comes to mind that I genuinely don't like. I guess that's proof of how much I actually like it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I primarily use Git Tower to make commits and view history. For this, it is excellent. Also, Git Tower is a native "Mac-assed" Mac app -- a rare find these days with so many terrible electron-based apps out there. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish Git Tower had better support for cherry-picking changes within a single file when committing. However, everything else works so well that this wouldn't stop me from recommending it! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
