It is one of the best set up, most intuitive file managers I've come a crossed. The fact that the design team is still coming up with well thought out upgrades is a huge bonus. **What do you dislike about Total Commander?** It's kinda stupid, but I don't kike the colors used for the interface ... **What problems is Total Commander solving and how is that benefiting you?** It allows me to use one app for multiple purposes: file management, batch processing, adjustable rate compression, and a handful of archiving options. The dual (split) screen layout also makes file transfers easy, even cloud storage. The built in file viewer can open almost anything. It even offers secure ftp connection and file transfer. ### 2. It is a daily use for me and love the many integrations for preview it has including ftp/sftp logon. **What do you dislike about Total Commander?** there is nothing to dislike about Total Commander when you are used to Norton Commander **What problems is Total Commander solving and how is that benefiting you?** Easy management of my files Local and Remote is working just as expected. TC can copy the date from the source folder. Synchronizing two folders that should be in sync is simple and powerful. Rename many files in one time. **What do you dislike about Total Commander?** there is still no MacOS version available **What problems is Total Commander solving and how is that benefiting you?** Migration of individual folders or entire drives. Synchronize entire structures to external hard drives or cloud storage. Rename 1000s of photo files with minimal effort and a good preview ### 4. The first application installed in my computer **Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** George M. | Analyste commerciale principale, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** March 30, 2021 **What do you like best about Total Commander?** A dual pane interface made simple, advanced functionality (search, rename, synchronize) that can be further extended by plugins, the asynchronous copy/move, its powerful viewer (also extendable by plugins), it has a built-in diff viewer and you can customize everything on it. **What do you dislike about Total Commander?** The UI is kinda dated and has a steep learning curve but there lies its power; you can do practically everything file management requires. **Recommendations to others considering Total Commander:** The UI is kinda scary the first time but if you invest time to configure it you can do practically anything file management requires without need to lift your hand from the keyboard **What problems is Total Commander solving and how is that benefiting you?** All things file management, for synchronizing folders to advanced renaming, from quick viewing to advanced searching and every built-in functionality can be further extended by plugins. For everything imaginable in file management TC will do it or TC has a plugin that can do it. ### 5. It's by far the best software when you have to manage files. If this wasn't available, it had to be coded. **What do you dislike about Total Commander?** I have to change colors to good old blue, just like in the old days on each installation.
