Scared the drivers, but kept their speed down. The tracking worked fairly well. **What do you dislike about Geotab?** The fact that the devices can be manually removed by the drivers led to a lot of issues. Drivers would occasionally bump the device out with their long legs. It led us to question whether the drivers were removing them or not and distrusting our drivers, but also since there were occasional connectivity issues we were sometimes wrong in our accusations. **Recommendations to others considering Geotab:** Make sure the drivers are trusted or told that the removal of devices is recorded. **What problems is Geotab solving and how is that benefiting you?** We no longer use the Geotabs because of them being able to be removed from the vehicles manually. They were a great way to track drivers and offered many of the same features as competitors, but the installation was a real turnoff for us. ### 22. Not only can you easily see where each employee is at any moment, but you can also see driving history. Each week I receive an email with a driver safety score that grades each employee with their harsh cornering, speeding, etc. We also have discovered recently that you can upload a customer list into the system, so instead of just seeing where the employee is on the map, you can also see who's house they are at. **What do you dislike about Geotab?** It is very easy for someone to remove the device in the truck, we've unfortunately had drivers do that a number of times. Luckily you can set up an automatic You are able to hide the device, but you'd have to remove part of the driver panel and zip-tie it there. **Recommendations to others considering Geotab:** Have some type of orientation with the geotab team. There are a lot of great features that I was not aware of. **What problems is Geotab solving and how is that benefiting you?** We really don't have any problems that I've experienced. She is very efficient at creating and downloading reports and helps all of the managers with any issues that arise with the reporting on our Fleet. **What problems is Geotab solving and how is that benefiting you?** Meeting our DOT required electronic logging device. Tracking hours of service for all of our different departments and use reporting to complete payroll per department of hours worked. It has in depth-detailed reports for virtually anything. I used it to track locations for our fleet, find out who wasn't wearing seatbelts, not driving safely, etc. It definitely shaved a lot of unnecessary or unsafe practices of our drivers. **What do you dislike about Geotab?** The only thing I saw or experienced was a 4 minute lag in the system. Some days it would be heavier than others depending on the weather but If you can time the lags you can estimate them into your reports or disciplinary actions. **Recommendations to others considering Geotab:** Easy to learn and implement. I was able to train and get it started with my team in a weeks time. I also like the ability it gives you regarding adding drivers and information in a straight-forward manner, with minimal navigating through several different screens to get to where you need to go. **What do you dislike about Geotab?** There honestly isn't much that I didn't like about it, especially when compared to other telematic platforms. I would like to see a better historical trip tracking function, in terms of determining where a vehicle has been in the past and between specific dates. It is a little confusing at times. **Recommendations to others considering Geotab:** Ease of use, ease of install, and low price should make anyone consider this particular product for their fleet management. **What problems is Geotab solving and how is that benefiting you?** Keeping track of fleet mileage for tax purposes is much easier when using Geotab, and eliminates the possibility of major errors regarding improper mileage tracking. The information that is gathered is kept in a way that makes it easy to access for monthly billing and accounting purposes, and by extension easy to access in case of audit. ### 40. You can also keep track of the odometer readings so it's easy to track mileage for oil changes. The pricing is very reasonable as well with the ability to choose levels of options so you can find one that's right for your budget. **What do you dislike about Geotab?** There isn't much I don't like about this system. Setting up maintenance reminders can be tricky. **Recommendations to others considering Geotab:** I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Geotab. They're a great company to deal with and will look for the best solution/price point for your needs. They were one of the first GPS companies to contact us with the most reasonable service plans, we haven't looked back. They keep up with times to remain competitive in a rapidly growing market. **What problems is Geotab solving and how is that benefiting you?** We're not able to see our entire fleet so if a client calls with an issue we can send the closest truck. It's extremely helpful for that reason during the snow season. Tracking truck mileage is great too, so we can confirm when trucks need oil changes. It's also great to be able to have diagnostics available if a warning light is up on the dash. We can send to our mechanic who can let us know if the truck needs to go in ASAP or if we have some time. ### 41. Would like if it were more like a GPS with my fleet's location at all times. The map is not only slow sometimes, it looks a bit low tech.
